Israel unifying the world against it
In my last article I argued that Scott Ritter was wrong in his assessment of the Israeli attack on the Iranian Consulate in Damascus—namely, that it would somehow damage Iranian support for the Axis of Resistance, Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis – with the Iranians responding tit for tat, targeting an embassy or consulate or something like that—an escalatory response.
That's what the media was saying – and the various “three letter” agencies that they bed with. “Terms of endearment” indeed – but vastly less credible.
What's happening is exactly the opposite of what Ritter, and the Media, and its governmental Top Boys have been saying.
The attack on the embassy was Monday, which was April 2nd.
The last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan, is Quds Day, in this case April 5th, with Ramadan ending April 9th. On Quds Day Muslims around the world express their support for Palestinians and oppose Israel and Zionism. Israel managed to demonstrate the need for solidarity – whether a Shi’a or Sunni or Sufi or maybe just someone who opposes genocide. This year Quds Day got a big boost .
There were no Iranian missile strikes — but Hezbollah and the axis of resistance were quick to mount multiple drone attacks in northern Israel.
The Israelis responded predictably:
Israel as the Big Bad Wolf
At the end of a home front exercise in the Haifa District on Wednesday, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said that a war in Lebanon would be disastrous not only for Hezbollah but also for Lebanon.
The minister said Israel was preparing for various scenarios and threats against near and distant enemies.
As in….
“Huff Puff I will blow your house down.”
Unlikely.
Supply of weaponry overland from Iran to Syria and Lebanon may be complicated but not impossible —and, as time goes on, Hezbollah gets stronger and stronger with better and better weapons. And, the Quds Force has been supplying Hezbollah, as it does the Houthis, with components and technological expertise, benefitting local assembly and manufacture.
Yoav Gallant wants war with Hezbollah – fearing Hezbollah's growing power. But the Big Bad Wolf only blows hot air.
Israel's Defense forces, like those of the US, are set up for conventional wars using tanks and air power. And like Americans, Israelis hate to see their young people coming home in body bags – one reason they always lie about casualties.
In the 2006 war with Hezbollah, Israeli superiority in equipment for conventional 20th-century war wasn't enough – because a.) It wasn't a “conventional” war. b.) It wasn't the 20th century anymore.
Today, in the age of hybrid warfare, Israel is likely to lose more than men in an attempted invasion of Lebanon – it is likely to lose chunks of its own territory. Not really “its own” of course — stolen.
The Houthis’ successful war against the Saudis who had the best weaponry available from the US and the British set a precedent. The Houthis were much less well-equipped but emerged victorious by virtue of tenacity and adaptability. And, today, they have managed to defeat US and Brit naval forces in the Red Sea. The Americans and the Brits keep on bombing Yemen— but the Yemenis are used to that.
Iran as a rational actor
Iran's approach has always been careful and strategic. The Americans may not be rational actors but the Iranians are. All they have to do is wait for their enemies to self-destruct.
When General Souleimani was assassinated, the Iranians responded with missile strikes on Al Assad Airbase demonstrating their capability— but with advance warning to avoid American casualties.
Souleimani was replaced seamlessly by the rather less photogenic but no less competent General Esmail Qaani – with no impediment to Iranian operations. Nothing changed – except that for that man murdered in his prime.
As it turned out, the death of Souleimani not only gave Iran an excuse to demonstrate to the world its advances in missile technology – and also strategic restraint—it was a catalytic event, which fostered cooperation between the various anti-American militias in Iraq as part of the Axis of Resistance – a very 21st-century kind of strategic networking.
Souleimani was never as important in real life as he became in death: a martyr.
He had been built up by Western propaganda as the Evil Genius behind Iranian military progress when he was just one of many highly competent people responding to the challenges mounted by the West which has – or at least had – overwhelming advantages in weaponry and technology.
Israeli Failure
What we see in the strike on Damascus is just desperation – and the creation of more martyrs – which communicates to the Iranians that they are doing the right thing and to the Islamic ummah the necessity of struggle.
And, indeed, the Israelis have largely withdrawn from Gaza – with only one brigade left—and without having accomplished any of their stated goals.
What have they accomplished? Not a lot.
Hamas is still a viable force— and for Gazans the recognized government— legitimized not only by history now—but by Israeli atrocities.
The hostages haven't been returned. Zionist Israel’s genocidal brutality has alienated most of the world – at least anyone with a heart or conscience— delegitimizing Israel as a state—delegitimizing Israelis as human beings.
The Israel economy is tanking.
The Houthis have now attacked more than 90 ships, severely affecting Israeli logistics.
Hezbollah has strengthened its efforts to diminish the Israeli military and to provoke evacuations in northern Israel— at the same time strengthening its position in Lebanon.
Of course, if the Israeli ship is sinking in a shark infested ocean, it is taking the US— or at least a lot of Americans – with it.
Fuck you world
Acts of desperation such as this attack on the Damascus embassy not only indicate failure— they are an affront to international opinion. Simply put: “Fuck you World”.
The assumption is that the Mainstream Media controls the minds of the entire world. It is influential to be sure— but…
You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time.
― Abraham Lincoln
In the information age, the truth leaks out slowly but surely.
We see that with Ukraine and with its attack on Crocus City Hall,
Remember how the Media immediately shouted, “It warn't Ukraine…It warn't Ukraine…” How many people really believe that now…..
Then, more recently those drone strikes on the Zaporozhya NPP—which the media said were launched by unidentified attackers – either Little Green Men or ISIS K perhaps.
Not to mention, France's ridiculous posturing about sending French troops to Odessa. How likely is that? It would be the end of Macon if not of NATO.
Cognitive dissonance
Cognitive dissonance is like dog shit. You avoid it and pretend it isn't there. But when it sticks to the bottom of your shoe…?
Right now, the media is publishing the likelihood of Iran shooting missiles at Israel— which Iran is not going to do. The story is designed to fit the larger story that the US is a Force for Peace in the Middle East, seeking to mediate between Israel and Iran and broker a cease-fire in Gaza— while its defense companies make bundles of money supplying the Israelis with ammunition and weapons, bombs and war tech.
There will always be a large chunk of political illiterates in the US who will believe this stuff, long after it has proven to be false. But, as time goes on, the number of people who disbelieve will grow.
The reality is that Israel and the US are accelerating their mutual collapse.
Imperial Suicide
The US is bogged down in Ukraine and in the Middle East where it cannot escape eventual defeat. It is trying to create an Asian NATO comprised of Japan, South Korea, and the Philippines— against both China and Russia—and carrying out provocative actions in the South China Sea and with claims on the continental shelf in the Barent’s Sea where American naval vessels have entered for the first time since the 80s. It is doubling down on sanctions as a form of economic warfare...
It even has the cajónes to send Janet Yellen to Beijing to tell the Chinese they can't trade with Russia and are developing too fast.
The result: Yellen is shown the door. Lavrov visits and sits down with Xi Jinping and Putin is slated to visit next month. The Russians are suddenly more active in the Pacific and have strengthened ties with North Korea, which, like Iran, is suddenly testing hypersonic missiles. Wonder where the tech came from?
Amerikan-jin ron
The architect of the Pearl Harbor attack, Admiral Yamamoto, had persistently warned the Japanese government that the Empire could not hope to defeat the US because it simply did not have the industrial capacity or technology. Yet the Japanese were confident of the superiority of the Japanese spirit—known here as nihonjin ron.
Now it is the American Empire setting up its own defeat. Amerikajin ron.
Like Japan, the US simply does not have the industrial capacity or technological capabilities to compete – certainly not with Russia and China at the same time.
It is similarly suicidal. And, unfortunately that will likely get worse rather than better.
At the end of World War II, the Japanese doubled down on suicide – with civilian suicides in Okinawa, the suicide mission of the battleship Yamato and kamikaze attacks – none of which had any effect on the course of the war— probably just encouraging the intensity of American bombing.
However, when surrender came – it was abject and complete.
The Japanese leadership, of course, didn't care. At least, not the Emperor and his advisors.
That is the same with the Israeli leadership. With the Ukrainian leadership. With Macron. with Biden. They all know that in the end they will survive – and probably do quite well!
Down but not out
Apologies for being slow getting this thing out.
I started this post last week but then came down with the flu'. Which fortunately wasn't too serious and I'm better now.

Or on the picture below— Thelma who had to return to an animal shelter after seven years of caring for a woman who developed dementia. Thelma shares with some dogs, as well as other cats, the special ability to make people feel calm and to reduce anxiety and depression and that's what she did for the lady with dementia. Let’s hope she finds a new and loving home.

If animals can care for people, why can’t people care for people?
