28 Points Zero Sense
Trump : the Planster
Trump has lots of plans. They change by the minute, of course, and never work out.
Some people are catching on.
Trump’ s new 28 Point Plan is getting a lot of attention in the mainstream media who ignore a few basic points.
It’s not his plan – it’s an edited version of Putin’s 2022 list of conditions , which, almost 4 years later, are out of date – and with Russian advances in the battlefield no longer apply.
It’s also not a serious plan. If it were it would’ve been presented to the Russians. which is not the case. It was apparently first leaked by Kiril Dmitriev a Russian businessman with extensive ties to Western financial organizations like Goldman Sachs. He is not part of Lavrov’s diplomatic team.
The plan seeks to preserve Ukraine in the face of Russian advances on the battlefield, which at best will result in a tiny rump state –after war crimes trials. This, after all is the 80th anniversary (November 18) of the Nuremburg Trials. You would do well to read the full text of Putin’s speech on this occasion-- which offers a quite different reading of history than the one you are used to.
The plan is being offered to a terrorist territory, masquerading as a country.
The plan would end up shielding Ukrainian nazi war criminals. The CIA’s favorite for the next president of the Ukrainian entity is Arsen Avakov, a key figure in the controversial Azov Battalion (now the Azov Brigade), the core of Ukraine’s official security forces.
Putin writes,
Today as well, our position remains unchanged – there can be no excuse for the criminal acts of Nazi collaborators, there is no period of limitations for them.
Of course, Nazi collaborators includes the entire Western media, not to mention most Western governments.
Not a country? Does it matter?
Ukraine once had 52 million people. The most recent head count is just 19 million people — but, even if “Ukraine” as it was known in 2014, no longer exists, those criminals must face justice.
Zelensky will not accept Trump’s plan. The NeoNazis won’t accept it.
Of course, the CIA and MI6 are searching for replacements for the Coke King — but they all have Nazior extremist associations like Zaluzhny and Avakov. Even Klitschko has ties with the ultra right Svoboda group. Zelensky can certainly be replaced but the West just wants a Zelensky clone, without the coke.
Of course, the EU and NATO won’t accept the Plan either.
Their elites and military industrial companies want the war with Russia to continue. They want war with Russia but know they can’t fight Russia themselves, so they need Ukraine to do it for them, not that there are many Ukrainians left alive . Of course, at some level, Trump wants that too.
Apologies to Walt…
Another issue for the Russians is that the Trump plan would leave Ukraine-- and therefore NATO – in control of Odessa and Nikolaiv. That would be dangerous for Russia to accept with the recent NATO/EU takeover of Romania (2024) and Moldova (2025).
When it comes down to it, with European belligerence, the Russians must control the Black Sea coast , we well as the entire East bank of the Dniepr, as well as parts of the West bank in the South— at a bare minimum.
Practically speaking, the use of long-range cruise missiles and ballistic missiles against Russia mean that Russia must take the entire region all the way to the Polish border.
Rebuilding the region will take time and money but in the end it will be worth it.
Last time, I wrote about the region’s large amounts of arable land. There is also oil and gas. And huge deposits of minerals, including lithium.
Russia is on course to develop its refining capacity – 60,000 tonnes four years from now. Current global production is 147, 000 tones.
In the end, the region will pay for itself.
Key aspects of Ukraine’s potential wealth:
Mineral Resources: Ukraine holds an estimated 7% of the world’s titanium reserves and some of Europe’s largest deposits of lithium and uranium. The country also has globally significant reserves of graphite and manganese. A 2023 Forbes Ukraine study estimated Ukraine’s mineral wealth could be as much as $14.8 trillion
Agriculture: Known as the “breadbasket of Europe,” Ukraine’s fertile soil, or “chernozem,” is highly valuable for producing and exporting grains like wheat and barley.
Energy Sector: Ukraine has had significant reserves of hydrocarbons, including coal, natural gas, and oil. Its abundant water resources also provide hydroelectric power.
Geostrategic Location: Ukraine’s position near European markets is an asset. Incorporation into the Russian Federation gives it access to new transportation routes in EurAsia and the Arctic.
Human Capital: Ukraine possesses a diminished but skilled workforce.

Doctorow has puts his card on the table:
"For my part, after reading through the plan, which The Financial Times published several hours ago and which I reproduce below, I say ‘bravo’ to the American President, whose team has cobbled together a road map to long-lasting peace not just between Russia and Ukraine, but between Russia, Europe and the United States. Those determined critics of Trump in both Western mainstream AND in Western alternative media who have predicted the same kind of faux peace that was imposed on Hamas and Israel will ultimately have to admit that The Man does some things right when he and his close advisors set their minds to it."
So he’s for:
14. Frozen funds will be used as follows: $100 billion in frozen Russian assets will be invested in US-led efforts to rebuild and invest in Ukraine. The US will receive 50% of the profits from this venture. Europe will add $100 billion to increase the amount of investment available for Ukraine’s reconstruction. The remainder of the frozen Russian funds will be invested in a separate US-Russian investment vehicle that will implement joint projects in specific areas. This fund will be aimed at strengthening relations and increasing common interests to create a strong incentive not to return to conflict.
21. Territories: a. Crimea, Luhansk and Donetsk will be recognised as de facto Russian, including by the United States. b. Kherson and Zaporizhzhia will be frozen along the line of contact, which will mean de facto recognition along the line of contact. c. Russia will relinquish other agreed territories it controls outside the five regions. d. Ukrainian forces will withdraw from the part of Donetsk Oblast that they currently control, and this withdrawal zone will be considered a neutral demilitarised buffer zone, internationally recognised as territory belonging to the Russian Federation. Russian forces will not enter this demilitarised zone.
26. All parties involved in this conflict will receive full amnesty for their actions during the war and agree not to make any claims or consider any complaints in the future.
Point 26 means no accusations of and investigations into war crimes perpetrated by Banderite Nazis.
Well “bravo” to that, Dr.Doctorow!
Does Doctorow really believe that the orange blowhard’s “deal” really will include a Hague, International Court of Justice “Get Out Of Jail Free Card” for Vladimir Putin?
For what it's worth, I don't think the peace plan was designed to work... It just buys time to finish off the country. Not sure how the Europeans can ever think of "occupying" Odessa ... the city/port is being frequently hammered. There would be no distinguishing between Euro Vs Ukrainian troops in Odessa and other Black Sea locations. Wherever they are they'd be popped... IMHO 👊
