I have argued that Donald Trump is not going to be any better than Biden— at least, on the basis of his performance in his first term as president!
Some of my readers have called me to task for this assumption –pointing to certain facts that really need to be considered and might contradict my conclusions.
The most obvious point is simply that Trump took office in 2016 in a very weak position.
He did not win the popular vote. Institutional Republicans didn’t actually like him that much.
The Democrats immediately began a campaign which amounted to political insurrection-- orchestrating media attacks , both political and personal—accusing him of being a Russian agent, a would-be dictator, corrupt—you name it.
In 2018 things got worse as the Dems took control of the House and Senate.
Trump's political power was constantly compromised—by ambivalence from the Republican political class— who were dismayed by his promise to "drain the swamp"-- that dirty pool in which both Democrats and Republicans swim. The politicos are not the entire "Deep State"-- but represent a significant part of it.
Ultimately the real problem was that Trump was inexperienced. He was not a politician. He was a businessman who tended to rely on others for direction and advice. He didn't even read much—which contributed a certain narrowness of thought.
He brought in rabid Neocons like Bolton and Pompeo and Haley and Mike Pence and others—who, of course, eventually turned on him. Rabid animals do that.
Trump now, as then, is the GOP nominee.
In the US you can't get to be president unless you are nominated by one of the two parties. In other words, you must be acceptable to the "Deep State"—meaning the political status quo. I have my doubts that Trump is really a Republican. And I suspect many Republicans think the same way.
Certainly he is conservative in certain respects and his views align with the Republicans— more or less —but he is not ideological.
As I said, he's a businessman. He worships the "Deal" and he is very proud of his ability—to talk to and get along with people like Putin and Kim and Xi He’s a wheeler dealer.
Since the assassination attempt, some say he has changed. Donald Trump Junior for example.
And not just Junior.
Just look at what Trump has said since the shooting, and it sounds like a different Donald Trump,” said former Sen. Rick Santorum (R-Pa.) “There’s something going on in there. How long does this last? I don’t know. He’s not going to be a new man. He’s not all of a sudden going to become Ben Carson.
Is he really? He could be.
After all, Trump is older now and in speaking as an older person, near death experiences can force reevaluation of values and goals.
Then there were the last four years of trials (literally) and tribulation and betrayals by former advisors and people he counted as allies. Bolton, Haley, Pence — and others.
One term presidents are rare in American history. Even rarer —never until lnow —are presidents convicted of felonies in the courts – for, well, being president! —not that Trump's convictions will stand in the long term-- and will certainly be set aside if he becomes president.
Suffice to say, no president in history has experienced the kind of backstabbing and enmity and calumny that Trump has — with coordinated media attacks vilifying and demonizing him in every aspect.
But the attempted assassination, along with Biden’s inept policy making and chaos in the Democratic Party have conspired (pun intended ) to all but guarantee his re-election. Along with growing popularity in new groups that traditionally do not support the Republicans – young people, Blacks, and Hispanic— people who feel left out and angry.
Is he accommodating this newly expanded and more diverse "sociopolitical" base? Is he reflecting on his legacy. He has a terminal disease. It’s called “old age”.
Or is it just an act.
As I have written recently his choice of JD Vance-- who is also a conservative aligned with Republicans without necessarily subscribing to their ideology—as a VP candidate— speaks volumes.
As I said, Trump is not really a Republican-- he is Trump!
Maybe – just maybe he has learned something.
But will it make any difference?
The Democrats problems with the Biden candidacy reflect poorly on the competency of the party as a whole —which will affect the congressional elections in 2024. There's a good chance Republicans may take the Senate-- and expand their five seat majority in the House of Representatives. To do that, they need Trump’s support,
That will make Trump's appointments a lot easier—and give him the edge in replacing key figures such as the Attorney General.
On the other hand, the Democrats still control the mainstream of the Mainstream Media. And the Big Lies that the MSM has brainwashed the American public with over the years remain like stains on the wall.
However, by the time Trump takes office the consequences of four years of Biden may change a lot of things—the chickens will come home to roost— shit all over everything—from foreign-policy to economics—and die of some new virus.
Russian success in Ukraine, dedollarization, alternative financial systems, the implosion of the ZioNazi state, etc, etc, etc— Trump will blame it all on Biden.
But he won’t be able to fix things. Because it’s not really Biden — not even the “Deep State” — it’s the System that is at fault..
No one man can change the course of civilizational decline .Nothing will fix that — except fundamental change.
Already we see indications.
Cultural division in the US is rising— as indicated by outright separatist sentiment in places as diverse as California, Texas and Alaska. I might add that it is also rising in Canada. People in British Columbia have a lot more in common with Alaska, Washington state, Oregon and California than they do with Ontario or Québec. East-West is not working in Canada— with economic relations primarily North-South.
Witt North America changing socially, culturally, and politically, the best Trump can do is ride the wave and hope not to drown.
Special Report
As I have mentioned, the first installment of my special report (special article) on the new, emerging world order is finished. And I am working on a mailing list. It covers a lot of territory. I hope you will like. My first proof read found a LOT of typos and errors which I fixed. On or two more times—and it should be ready.
Yes, the new world order is the elephant.
I read J.D. Vance's book - very interesting. I'm a 74 yr.old, life-long Democrat, but, IF he could change his opposition to abortion (I'm also female), I might consider switching sides. I expect the Republicans will win this election, and JD will eventually go to become president. I am sick to death of the Democrats' war-mongering; something's got to give....
You're right. Trump can't save us and all we can do is ride the wave. Smart people see the wave coming and we have to adapt.
The Anglo-Zionist Empire is at its end as is its bogus "Rules Based International Order".
