The world respects only those who can protect themselves. Until we show that we are an independent and sovereign power that stands behind our interests, there will be no room for anyone to treat us as equals. Vladimir Putin. Interview with Pavel Zarubin
In my last post, I pointed to Putin’s speech in Munich in 2007, which clearly stated that the US was striving for global domination – to achieve the first, truly global empire in history, an American Leviathan assimilating every nation and culture, and redefining generally accepted concepts of national sovereignty and independence, destroying international law.
If you have read my special articles for coffee buyers you will understand that this characterization of American policy is implicit in Fukuyama’s “end of history” and “last man” concepts which were arguably implicit in American policy, if not culture back to the beginning of the nation, along with cultural supremacism.
As Putin said recently, and also in 2007, US policy has never been about ideology but always about power-- economic, military, technological and infrastructural. During the Cold War, the USSR and socialism lagged in these areas but provided a certain balance.
Once the Soviet Union ended, as Putin puts it, in a political auto da fe, there was nothing to keep the US in check – or so it seemed.
But now, Russia has risen from the ashes. China has risen as well. And Iran. And the Global South, of which Iran is emblematic, is growing everyday in power and influence.
America’s “soft power’ is limp and dysfunctional— it can no longer satisfy.
Its “hard power” is still a force to be reckoned with but growing obsolete as the Houthi have shown clearly.
In a recent excellent article, U.S. Hubris-Driven Blunders Transform The Entire Complexion Of The Wider War, Alastair Crooke writes of US “hubris” —which as you know, was Satan’s sin.
Why is the US of A called “America”anyway? It is just a third of America. There is Canada and Greenland and Mexico and the countries of Central America too. Maybe it is less than a third.
But the US feels it has the right to dictate to both North and South America, and annex whomever it likes. Similarly, it feels it has the same license to impose its will on the vast majority of the earth’s population.
But the US has just 340 million people. China, Russia, Iran and the Global South have a population of over 7.6 billion.
Feudalism on a global scale. The US anointed by God. It is the Divine Right of Washington.
Yes, Jesus was an American.
Why”
Why don’t Americans rise up?
Their compliance is ensured through education and the offer of the “Good Life”. It’s just a offer of course. You get a “free trial” and pay later with your soul ,
, Americans go with the flow—perhaps it all comes down to the culture underpinning American civilization, which it inherited largely from the British Empire – that is, an imperialist and colonialist culture, where “might” makes not only “right”but exploitation too. This is not something driven by ideologies – but a sense of entitlement, simple greed and lust for power and status.
For Adam greed was the apple. For Americans, greed means money.
For empires, it does not mean coin — but resources—which creates power which means greater access to resources and endless accumulation.
Nations can have morality and ethics, altruism, even empathy. But empires do not— because they are defined by exploitation which is fundamentally amoral— and ethics, irrelevant.
That is what the US is today-- an amoral empire. Ethically, morally, spiritually vacant. But it is in decline. And it can no longer compel the world as it once could.
Alastair Crooke has written an excellent article on this—U.S. Hubris-Driven Blunders Transform The Entire Complexion Of The Wider War —which ends, quoting one of my favorite analysts; Willian Schryver.
The empire’s seemingly endless string of hubris-driven blunders has rapidly accelerated the formation of what is quite arguably the single most potent military / economic / geostrategic alliance seen in modern times: the tripartite axis of Russia, China, and Iran …
It has astoundingly managed to jump from the frying pan of a regional proxy war against Russia into the fire of a global conflict that all three of its steadily strengthening adversaries now view as existential .
In my considered opinion, this is almost certainly the single most inexplicable and portentous series of geopolitical blunders in recorded history .
Really, there has never been anything like this before in all of recorded history. This is an empire without precedent. A war on the world without precedent. And the outcome will be without precedent also.
Please Help.
I am making good progress on my next Special Article, which not only deals with Putin but with the Death of the West. Coming soon! Help me finish.

From my view and after living in the US for 23yrs, I saw greed/terrible education but this didn't seem to worry a large amount of the population.
Americans say: "I want" the rest of the world use other ways of saying please and thank you.
Talking Politics: forget it.
So much more to say but this becomes derision.
Lesson learned is the worship of power makes you stupid beyond belief.
