Apologies to you all for last night’s post in which I copied an article from the Islander, a relatively new site (for me anyway) on Telegram, which I wanted to post because I thought it expressed a popular view of Trump more succinctly than I could do.
The ideas are not exactly original but I thought the writer put them together well.
But I messed up — even this simple task.
For some reason, when I try to copy on this machine, I sometimes get the same material pasted twice! Maybe it’s me. Maybe it’s the computer software. Probably both.
Usually, when I write, I leave the thing for 10 to 20 minutes and come back and read it aloud to find problems.
I can usually fix such things because I see —or hear— them right away.
I didn’t do it this time. I got sloppy. To say I was tired would be just a lame excuse! I need to do better.
Sorry for that anyway. God will not forgive me — I haven’t subscribed to his substack site because it has a paywall. But maybe you can offer me redemption.
I have updated the article, so it should read OK.
Many thanks to Fulgurite for pointing out the problem.
Also thanks to Tom Walsh and Sander for their input also!
Also to JennyStokes, Karyne and Charles Leone who appear to have forgiven my technical incompetence and commented anyway. It’s good to know that FreeMasons do cosplay.
Thank you, commenters and coffee buyers and subscribers all for your help.
I couldn’t do what I do without your support and input.

Quote of the Day:
No fate awaits Ukraine. Fate awaits the territories that were once part of Ukraine, it seems to me. The territories that were previously Ukraine will be divided, just as Poland was once divided. We do not need what belongs to others, as has always been the case. We will return what is ours, our Russian territories. The lands where people of our culture, our history, our language live, who want to live with us.

Coffee
Fulgurite recommends coffee.
Yes, I need coffee to focus. So I can do stupid things.
I cruise right by the typos all the time. Some of them give me a brief mental hiccup, but they're otherwise unobjectionable. I have a pretty good grasp of what you're trying to convey.
I checked my catechism — “venial sins include….unintentional typos….”
At worst, purgatory.
