The attack on Tower 22 occurred on 28 January,
Three people died.
Who killed them?
This is who.
The Hypocrite in Chief is responsible for these young people being in a place they never should have been, involved in illegal operations – namely the occupation of Syria— a crime under international law— and helping provide support for ISIS terrorist groups, now making a resurgence in the region.
The US has occupied the nearby Al-Tanf Base on the Syrian side of the border since 2015 and has used it to arm and train ISIS militants. The US and allied intelligence agencies used ISIS to attack the Syrian and Iraqi armies as part of its effort to effect regime change in Damascus starting in 2011 and to depose Iraqi prime minister Nouri al-Maliki in 2014.
Joseph Biden has blood on his hands. The three soldiers—and thousands of women and children and infants in Gaza, not to mention innocent civilians in Ukraine and Russia.
This monster is running for reelection-- and if he becomes president again – well then the country deserves him.
In order to look tough, Genocide Joe ordered retaliatory strikes "against Iran" – which he said were in the interests of peace, Iran being the Big Bad in the script.
Of course, the US did not attack Iran itself. There were 85 strikes on seven sites in Syria and Iraq, targeting Syrian and Iraqi forces using Iranian weapons. They also US weapons sold on the black market by Ukrainians. But you don't hear much about that, do you. Wonder why?
Ironies abound.
The support provided by Iran is far less than the support offered by the US to the neo-Nazi regime in Ukraine.
The Syrians want the Americans out. The Iraqis want the Americans out. The Americans are staying in, violating international law. Call it “International Home Invasion”. If an ordinary person does it, it's a crime. If the US does it, it's politics.
January 29, one day after Tower 22, the US announced sanctions on Iraq's Al-Huda Bank which does business with Iran, accusing it of financing terrorists.
The Finance Committee in the Iraqi parliament made a statement on 31 January calling for the sale of oil in currencies other than the US dollar, aiming to counter US sanctions on the Iraqi banking system.
As you know, the dollar became a reserve currency thanks to its use in the oil trade. If Iraq ditches the dollar, it separates itself de facto from the US financial system and will need support in BRICS. But the dollar’s status will be weakened.
January 18, Iran and Russia concluded a 20-year mutual cooperation pact which provides for transfer of military technology and assistance.
This comprehensive agreement encompasses crucial provisions facilitating the transfer of cutting-edge military technology from Russia to Iran. Specifically, designated personnel from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) will undergo advanced training on a range of sophisticated Russian missiles, including but not limited to the Kh-47M2 Kinzhal, the Iskander M, the RS-26 Rubezh, the BrahMos3, and the Avangard. This transfer of knowledge and weaponry is poised to elevate Iran's military capabilities significantly. A noteworthy aspect of the deal is Iran's strategic objective to domestically manufacture 30 percent of these missiles, a move that not only bolsters its self-sufficiency in military production but also marks a substantial enhancement in its overall military prowess.
The 21st International Meeting on Syria, held in late January in Astana in Kazakhstan between Iran, Russia and Turkey with observers from Jordan, Iraq and Lebanon as well as the UN, called for Israel to cease attacks on Syria and American withdrawal.
No matter – the US will likely double down on its failures even more, with predictable results. But the Pentagon will never allow a full-scale war which it would lose – whatever wet dreams Tony Blinken, Sullivan and Nuland share.
The retaliatory strikes therefore were really just election-year PR. They accomplished nothing of strategic or tactical importance and led to three strikes by the IRI just hours later.
.
There are no verified reports of Iranian personnel dying in the strikes—and it seems the resistance forces suffered very little damage, forewarned by the Americans themselves. Most of the dead were likely civilians.
Yes, Biden is a monster. But is Trump any better?
This brazen attack on the United States is yet another horrific and tragic consequence of Joe Biden’s weakness and surrender… Three years ago, Iran was weak, broke, and totally under control. Thanks to my maximum pressure policy, the Iranian regime could barely scrape two dollars together to fund their terrorist proxies… Donald Trump. Nevada.
It was Trump who ordered the assassination of Qasem Soleimani, a brilliant strategist and commander— but, in the end, just one man and the attack— which violated international law, US law, and international norms—led to a hardening of Iran’s resolve. Teheran intensified weapons development and support to resistance groups throughout the Middle East, with new and just as competent leadership in the IRGC.
West Asia has always been riven by tribal rivalries and sectarian hatred— but suddenly everyone is agreed on one thing— the US has to go.

Personal Note:
Never act your age
When I was six, my mother would say. You’re six— not five— act your age!” When I was 12, it was “You’re 12, not 10”. I got told to “act my age” throughout my life in this way. I am still being told to “act my age”.
Never, ever act your age!
You are not designed for it.
Born to be Young
This is why:
Neoteny.
Neotenous animals retain juvenile characteristics.
We could interbreed with Neanderthals—but we were different—with smaller but more developed brains, especially the cerebellum, weaker jaws. We were more social, more creative, more playful. Certainly more imaginative. Homo Sapiens Diversus, as Occupy Schagen says.
Neanderthals appear to have been violent predators and carnivores. In contrast, modern human beings are omnivores with the bulk of their nutrition from foraging rather than hunting.
Whether or not Neanderthals were capable of speech at the same level as human beings is still being debated. There are many questions but one thing is sure: In other common stereotypes about the brutishness of prehistoric human beings likely apply more to Homo Neanderthalis --not to Homo sapiens.
The most recent genetic studies cited, seem to bear this out.
Putting all that aside, one thing that our ancestors had that Neanderthals did not-- and which gave them an edge over their muscle-bound cousins was dogs. Human beings and dogs bonded up to 50,000 years years ago— at least 30,000. They are our oldest friends. The helped us hunt, they protected us and they kept us warm at night.
Our relationship with them is a measure of our neoteny – and also of theirs. By and large, with only a few exceptions. only juvenile animals are capable of interspecies relationships.
And human beings stay young – in this respect – forever. As do their doggy friends.
So— as Jethro Tull says.
You never too old to rock 'n' roll
if you're too young to die
Glad to have read your insightful articles which I saw on the Duran.
You will notice the Neanderthal has more brains than us. Violent ?
Terrific adaptations to living through the 2 million years of ice ages is most likely why.
Incredibly strong physique these people.
Socially we are incredibly mixed up species hardly able to grasp reality. Hubris reigns supreme sacrificing the observations about reality.
More adaptation for our era !
Descent of the Child “ by Elaine Morgan gives a new meaning to what neoteny is all about.
World of Perception by Ponty utterly ignores the physical nature of living creatures upon a living planet.
A weirdly philosophy of its times deeply rooted in the abstract as if we aren’t alive.
