It appears to me, in my Wordless Sensing, that Sy doesn't write these propaganda.

Has anyone seen him lately ? Did he get a Stroke and is someone making his articles ?

Is het maybe blackmailed ? Had he an epileptic attack ?

Just saying.

He may not be alive or in a rest home .

I thought that screed looked like something he was handed by the CIA and didn't change a word of.

What next? An article on the imminent collapse of China? Maduro the dangerous drug lord? It sounds like they're counting on his reputation to push the propaganda through. Because I can't believe he believes this so easily disproved rubbish. And I'm not an investigative reporter.

Trump as Abe Lincoln reborn. ?

Noticed a while ago that Sy is not reliable anymore and stopped following him. Wonder if he is being used by his sources or blackmailed in regards with a certain well known list.

Good point. The real Sy provides details from his sources without exposing them, like he did with Nordstream. His last piece made me cancel my meager subscription

Sy Hersh may at one time have been a great journalist. Now he’s just where the CIA “wash” their stories and narratives.

My question is not whether or not Seymour Hirsch is a crooked corrupt CIA asset but rather how long has Seymour Hirsch been a crooked corrupt CIA asset?

Maybe this is really what the US intelligence, deep state, etc etc actually believe! Witkoff and co are scurrying back to Moscow, maybe to try to save US assets in Ukraine is what I think, but maybe they are offering President Putin an ultimatum because he's losing. The US is really floundering around now - get ready for the collapse.

Julian Macfarlane's avatar

You may be right. Ummm....I keep on harping on "System 1" vs "System 2 thinking. That's because institutions and the people that work there must "adjust" their thinking to fit institutional bias - not realities or facts. Heuristics are not logical -- just expedient. Neanderthals were good at System 1 (heuristics) -- bad at logic, pattern recognition, etc. They went extinct.

The Russians are winning. But that can't be right - winning against the US/Nato - impossible. The CIA is crawling around in Ukraine and must know what is happening, they just can't believe it.

What do you expect from a neocon like?

Thanks Julian for expressing my own disappointment in Sy. Already lost faith in his reporting for some time now. I guess the last report that I liked was the one about nordstream. It feels like they have become worse over time. This one was clearly bs.

He's just another Jewish lecturer, a pro-American, a lover of Jew York City, and alas, we just valorize these fuckers, man, when we have so many on the ground reporters from around the world doing the hard work.

Oh, those insider informants, oh these undisclosed sources, oh, those anonymous bang up reliable whistlerblowers.

Russia is bleeding, for sure, and, alas, the proving grounds for weapons in Ukraine, well, that's the ticket for the axis of Evil -- USA/Israel.

Semen Drip Trump just opened his fucking anus in Switzerland, and alas, he's as dumb as a bag of rocks, but he's got milk. Military bases, man, that's the ticket.

from: https://davidswanson.org/europe-pretends-to-talk-about-self-respect-while-coated-with-u-s-military-bases/

Dear European governments, look at the map of U.S. military bases above and tell us again about your self-respect, about how you’re going to fight Trump in Greenland (where he also has a military base), about all the military violence metaphors in your newspapers’ columns about trade policies, but understand that we know about the thing you’ve never mentioned: the empire of bases. You don’t even issue self-respecting threats to evict foreign bases like the president of Honduras has done.

Pieces of your land are not yours. You cannot know what is in them. You cannot ask what flows out of them into your poisoned water and soil. You cannot enforce your laws against the people who emerge from the bases, drunk and disturbed. You can let your people do menial jobs there, as second-class citizens in their own countries, but you cannot decide where new bases are built. You cannot complain about the targets the bases place on you, about the weapons of mass destruction they contain, or about their use in distant acts of evil. You cannot even suggest that the use of U.S. bases in Europe for distant wars is gratuitous, because we all know that you know that it is, that the point of keeping the U.S. military in Europe is not to protect you but to control you.

Dear European governments, I say this as a U.S. resident who has lived in Europe and loves Europe, regarding the topic of democracy, please for godsake shut the hell up. None of you has ever once asked the people of your country or any subregion thereof whether they wanted a military base built — not in the case of a single one of the bases you see on the map above. The Czech Republic was once compelled to let people vote — as the people of Ecuador just voted — but we know how that tends to go, so you carefully avoid it. You let the U.S. government avoid its own people and the basic rule of law by providing it off-the-books secret sites on which it can do what evil it pleases to whom it pleases. Do you serve the CIA or the people of Europe? You let the U.S. violate the Nonproliferation Treaty by putting nuclear weapons in your countries and justify it through the legalistic legerdemain of suggesting that it is not really your land. It’s Donald Trump’s. You can blame the U.S. public all you want for him — we richly deserve it — but you cannot pretend he acts in our name — nobody believes that.

Agreed, this is sad to see, a once great journalist now a propaganda mouthpiece.

What happened? Has Sy changed? Been corrupted? No, Sy has been suspect since he penned "The Dark Side of Camelot" hit piece book on JFK for $1 million up front (according to Daniel Ellsberg) as a favor for his CIA buddies. His favored "Insider" revelations? Come on folks. There are no good-guy insiders feeding stuff to folks like Sy. The CIA is water-tight. What is leaked is approved and serves the Agency. And his stuff on Israel has been appalling. It's about time he was outed as the tool he's always been. Just saying.

I knew Hersh was an "asset" when he pitched the "USG killed Bin Laden" fantasy.

It was such obvious BS - I couldn't believe anyone fell for it

Thank you so much for this post. I had a similar reaction to Sy’s last post & worried what may have happened to him. There have been questionable remarks in some his earlier posts that gave me pause, but this one was just over the top wrong.

He used to be respectable but that was before the SMO started. Every single thing he's wrote on the subject. Including his exclusive NS2 scoops. Have all been proven to be total BS. Today his legacy is as just another deep state propaganda vehicle. He's not cared he's obviously only bothered about the money nowadays. You'd have thought he'd done pretty well for himself. But Im not aware of his spending habits. So I'm unaware of his financial situation. It's the only reason I can think of, unless he's suffering from what Biden is. It's pretty common apparently in US political circles. That being bought off, drug abuse, corruption, lies, sex scandals, more lies & prostituting themselves out.
