The Duran kids were talking up the phone call between Trump and Putin. Like everybody else, they noticed that Putin gave absolutely nothing away and did not actually agree to anything-- while allowing Trump to grandstand for his Trumper-Pumper audience. Putin's response was lawyerly, diplomatic, and civil-- but unyielding.
That said, as usual, the two A’s have faith in the Donald—that he will make Peace again. I love these guys - but — really?
Putin’s Response
Yes, there is a Putin comic book. Putin is (apparently) the Bad Guy
Here is the text of the response from Putin’s own site to Donald’s call.
The leaders continued their detailed and frank exchange of views on the situation surrounding Ukraine. Vladimir Putin extended gratitude to Donald Trump for his striving to achieve the noble goal of ending the hostilities and loss of life.
Notice the term “loss of life”-- which naturally encompasses not just military casualties but civilian casualties. Comrade Vladimir is subtle.
While Ukrainian military casualties have been 10 times greater than Russia’s, the Ukrainians have been deliberating targeting schools, hospitals, shopping centers, and homes since 2014 – with mercenaries and Nazi brigades massacring men, women and children in occupied villages indiscriminately. The Russians take care to minimize civilian casualties.
Confirming his fundamental commitment to finding a peaceful resolution to the conflict, the President of Russia expressed willingness to thoroughly work out possible solutions in cooperation with the American partners, aimed at reaching a settlement that would be comprehensive, reliable, and lasting, and, naturally, take into account the essential need to eliminate the root causes of the crisis, as well as Russia's legitimate security interests.
Next-- "comprehensive, reliable, and lasting". As if…. Russians have a sense of humor,
Those things are a tall order —impossible to achieve without a new constitution, referenda and elections, and the banning of Nazi ideologies, as well as war crimes trials.
What are "the root causes of the crisis?" One could blame it all on the Banderites. But responsibility really rests with American policy and subversion, as well as the activities of MI6.
“Russia’s legitimate security interests”? That would mean removing NATO bases from Poland, the Baltics, Scandinavia, and Eastern Europe. Not gonna happen.
In other words, Russia has to continue the war, build up its forces, and watch Europe collapse under the combined burdens of American induced de-industrialization and American ordered militarization.
Concerning US President's proposal to declare a 30-day ceasefire, the Russian side outlined a number of significant points regarding ensuring effective control over a possible ceasefire along the entire frontline, as well as the need to stop the forced mobilisation in Ukraine and rearming the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It was noted that some serious risks exist pertaining to the intractability of the Kiev regime which had repeatedly sabotaged and violated negotiated agreements. An emphasis was made on barbaric acts of terrorism committed by Ukrainian militants against civilians residing in the Kursk Region.
Sure— a ceasefire is dandy! But the UAF is depleted. An end to forced mobilization will further reduce its forces, perhaps as much as half. What then happens after 30 days?
The Russians anticipate that Kiev will renege on any agreement and continue its policies of atrocities. In other words, no agreement is really possible without a reconstructing a Western Ukrainian state on a completely different basis. Personally I think Elon should ship them all off to Mars… On the other hand, the Russians have some great Mars analogs in Siberia,.
It was pointed out that a complete cessation of providing Kiev with foreign military aid and intelligence must become the key condition for preventing an escalation of the conflict and making progress towards its resolution through political and diplomatic means.
Since long-range Ukrainian strikes use NATO ISR – specifically American ISR— not to mention mostly American weapons— the subtext here is :” we have put up with this for a long time but with our growing strength, and new systems being deployed we don’t have to. We have killed a lot of your ‘advisors’. Next we kill satellites (goodbye Starlink) and AWACS.”
Referring to Donald Trump's recent appeal to spare the lives of the Ukrainian servicemen surrounded in the Kursk Region, Vladimir Putin confirmed that the Russian side was willing to embrace humanitarian motives and guaranteed that the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine would live and be treated fairly in accordance with Russian legislation and international law in the event of surrender.
As I pointed out in an earlier article, Putin has been clear that he will follow international law – although, of course, the Americans do not, as they continually demonstrate.
During the conversation, Donald Trump put forward a proposal for the parties to mutually refrain from strikes on energy infrastructure for 30 days. Vladimir Putin responded favourably to the proposal and immediately gave the relevant order to the Russian troops. Just as favourable was the Russian President's response to Donald Trump's suggestion to implement a well-known proposal regarding the safety of navigation in the Black Sea.
These strikes are timed every 3 to 4 weeks. So this is not a concession at all—and it’s springtime when energy needs are low. The Ukrainians will never comply and the Russians will increase the force of their attacks—on other assets and infrastructure.
How do I know this?
A few hours after the end of the negotiations between Putin and Trump, Kiev attacked an energy infrastructure facility in the village of Kavkazskaya with three drones, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
The facility provides for the transshipment of oil into the pipeline system of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium. When the UAV fell, the tank was depressurized, causing a fire of 1.7 thousand square meters, and firefighting is underway. The Russian Defense Ministry
As for the Black Sea, the American idea is “freedom of navigation” which, as we know from their naval operations in the South China Sea, means they get to send aircraft carriers and destroyers into other nations’ coastal waters. But the Russians are talking “safety” of navigation, which is quite different. Military vessels are not “safe”—they are platforms of destruction.
Rather, the Russians would want to safeguard Sevastopol and other ports
For the time being, the Trump proposal would mean preventing the Ukrainians from using Odessa for drone strikes. Then the Russians could stop killing NATO operators in Odessa every week or so. But Vlad knows the Ukrainians will keep on doing wha they do. Which would end the ceasefire. Not that he spelled it out.
As I have said, Vlad the Bad is subtle.
In any case, the Russians are making progress in both Zaporozhye and Kherson. The Russians want to avoid attacks on large cities and focus on the destroying Ukrainian military resources, including manpower and destroy their ability to supply their troops. At some point, they will be able to isolate Odessa.
Who controls the food supply, controls the people. Henry Kissinger.
In addition, there was some of small talk also about hockey games in future, that kind of thing.
Conclusion
In general, it is clear that the US is offering to “normalize” relations with Russia to pre-Obama days.
But, as you have seen from my other articles, Putin has been on the scene since 2000. There has never ever been peaceful, “normal” relations between Russia and the West—not really the last 100 years—certainly not after the Fall of the Soviet Union.
Russian has faced continuous subversion –often subtle and insidious-- but dangerous all the same.
Talking to the RSPP Congress the other day, Putin said:
This is evident, and I have emphasised it repeatedly: a return to pre-existing conditions is impossible.
He was talking about sanctions of course— but the meaning is wider — there is no “normal” anymore— so no return to “normal”.
Regardless of global developments or shifts in the international order, our competitors will perpetually seek to constrain Russia and diminish its economic and technological capacities.
Moreover, whereas the so-called Western elites previously attempted to cloak this confrontation in propriety, they now evidently seem to no longer feel the need to be concerned about appearances, nor do they intend to be. They not only routinely threaten Russia with new sanctions but churn out these packages incessantly. One gains the impression that even the architects themselves have lost track of the restrictions imposed and their targets.
Here, the Ministry of Finance has tallied them. I state with confidence: 28,595 sanctions against individuals and legal entities. This exceeds – by a significant margin – all sanctions ever imposed on all other nations combined.
But economic warfare is as real-- and as dangerous – as any other. Think of the millions of women and children who have died because of it —500,000 in Iraq; perhaps 50,000 to 100,000 in Venezuela. There are many other examples.
Putin gives an example:
Even if there is some gesture from their side – say, they propose to lift or ease something – we can expect that another way will be found to exert pressure, to throw a spanner in the works, as was the case with the well-known Jackson–Vanik amendment. The Soviet Union, against which it was originally introduced, no longer existed, and relations between Russia and the United States of America were at their absolute best, as good as they could possibly be. Yet the amendment continued to remain in force. And when it was seemingly repealed, it was in fact simply replaced with another restrictive instrument against Russia. Recall this: repealed, then supplanted.
In other words, the US cares only about primacy and domination. And MAGA — Make Assholes Great Again — is toxic nationalism.
Canada is learning now that is does not pay to be a friend of the US.
In any case, “peace” is far, far away in another galaxy.
The Comic Book Putin
Putin appears in Valiant Comics Divinity and Harbinger series.
By and large, American comics and cartoons are not kind to Putin - and also to Xi Jinping.
We have to get to impressionable young minds — meaning all American minds under the age of 95’—before Putin and Xi do.
I ran across this kind of imagery when I was researching Russophobia and Sinophobia for my Special Article in the making—which covers a lot of things.
Who’s this? Hint he’s a cobbler’s son, a poet, and a seminarian, who became something different.
Stalin, of course. Funny how pictures shape our feeligs.

Young Koba the Dread! 8-)
What strikes me is, every time the US and MSN puts the focus on the Russian SMO, the Middle East gets bombed big time again!
If zion Don wanted peace he could just start there.
But someone who is currently the biggest genocide sponsor on this planet does not qualify as a peacemaker in my book!
