It's Sunday here in Japan. And getting very cold. So Ichi is spending a lot of time inside my jacket as I sit in front of the computer doing what people like me are wont to do -- connecting dots between not so obviously connected things.
It seems I was correct about the damage to the Yuzhmash defense plant in Dnepropetrovsk. While the SBU is "classifying" what happened there, local people are reporting “only dust remains of the plant.”
Yuzhmash is gone. It hit so hard that everyone just threw up their hands. It was like God sent us his arrows. People went to the plant to find out what happened – but it simply wasn’t there. There were no workshops, only dust remained.
This plant had been hit before in air strikes. But this strike was different. Hypersonic weapons have tremendous kinetic energy -- even with a solid, non-explosive warhead, as for penetrative strikes deep underground--which is where much of the factory was, including stored missiles and warheads .
Boom!
Dots, dots, dots…and the future?
Underground bunkers may not protect you. In fact, maybe there will be no protection anywhere, anymore. Not for Zelensky. Not for Sir Keir. Nor for Macron. Nor for....the list is long. Forget nukes. This is more precise, more direct, more personal.
It doesn't depend on these reports of the Yuzhmash plant being totally reduced to dust being completely true or not--it is enough to know how hypersonic weapons do work— and they do things previously unimaginable.
"Just sayin'" .
Dots, dots, dots….in all directions
Then there was the BBC, which is considerably less reliable than local people exchanging opinions in Dnepropetrovsk. They at least are on-site. The BBC does not tell us the truth of events— but it reveals the truth of our leaders' madness, pointing to an uncertain future for us all.
No red lines for the French? LOL.
But the Russians have red lines and while the French may be just color blind, the Russians are not forgiving.
No doubt the French foreign minister thinks he will be safe in London or Paris. Reminds me of a guy I knew in Northern Canada who thought he would be safe in bear country with a .303. A grizzly killed him.
Dots, dots, dots.…Foolishness can be fatal.
Then there was a report from the International Public Tribunal on the Crimes of Ukrainian Neo-Nazis which has representatives of civil society from more than 30 countries around the world collecting evidence on Ukrainian war crimes.
During the flight from Selydove, the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out mass killings of civilians. We found bodies of civilians with traces of gunshots to the head, heart and chest area on the streets, in five-story buildings, in the private sector.
This is confirmed by witnesses of the crimes. Many of them had acquaintances, neighbors or relatives shot, some of them right before their eyes.According to the facts revealed so far, the Ukrainian Armed Forces killed at least 100 civilians, probably significantly more. For example, the bodies of three civilians were found in a house at 89 Kuchurinskaya Street. They all died from gunshot wounds to the head.Evidence of mass murders of civilians in the city of Selidovo by the Kiev regime (Video evidence here. Not for the faint of heart)
The Russians have been collecting evidence of many such crimes meticulously without excessive publicizing as the Western media would do . In any case, even such things were front page news in Moscow, they not likely be mentioned at all in the West. If something bad happens — “the Russians done it”,
In addition, the Russians do not want inflame public opinion in Russia even more than it is already.
Their intention is clearly to use this for war crimes tribunals later.
When Western leaders talk of "negotiations" they have to take that into account.
They don't want real negotiations --because they are war criminals too.
Dots, dots, dots... They often lead straight to you!
Next up....the Financial Times, to which Alexander Mercouris pays good money to read, reports that the Russians are recruiting Houthi mercenaries to join their North Korean hordes because the world's second largest army is just not large enough.
How can you “dupe” a mercenary to fight in a war? Isn’t that their job?
The FT, like the BBC, is respected news media, which tells you about the conditions for earning “respect” in the West. Lie a lot. Make up absurd fictions. Invest in knee pads.
I no longer bother with the Comedy Hour, I have the Legacy Media!
Finally, Zaluzhnyi —who is touted as a more "rational" alternative to Zelensky in the West — made this statement:
I believe that in 2024, we can say with absolute certainty that World War III has begun. Because in 2024, Ukraine is no longer facing Russia. Ukraine is facing soldiers from North Korea. Let’s be honest. In Ukraine, Iranian ‘Shaheds’ are openly and shamelessly killing civilians. North Korean-made rockets are already flying into Ukraine, and they openly acknowledge it. Chinese shells are exploding in Ukraine, and Chinese components are used in Russian missiles," said the Ukrainian ambassador to the UK.
What we've been waiting for so long has already begun. But I want to say that God is giving a chance, not only to Ukraine but to the whole world, to make the right conclusions now. It’s still possible to stop it here, on Ukrainian soil. But for some reason, our partners don’t want to understand that. It’s obvious that Ukraine already has too many enemies. Ukraine will survive thanks to technology, but it’s unknown if it can win this battle on its own. Therefore, I believe that World War III, welcome—it has begun .
The Americans and Brits apparently want to make him President of Ukraine because he’s a “moderate”. .
Behind “Z” 2.0 is Stepan Bandera. Now imagine an American politician posing for a photo with a photo of Adolph Hitler behind him.
Dots, dots, dots. Could this be the future of Ukraine? Of the world?
What does all this add up to? Connect those dots and you get….?
Chaos a lot of the time.
Which is where the West is heading.
As for Russia, they don’t want to go there.
Dots, dots, dots — no compromise.
Russia must therefore take all of Ukraine — a firewall against the madness, the endless entropy of the spirit and the soul.
And keep a sense of humor.
It must be ready to shoot down a few AWACS aircraft over the Black Sea.
"Us? It wasn't us! It was the Houthis.
If that doesn’t work — take out a few NATO bases.
Parrots & their ilk
Above is a cockatiel. I haven’t talked about birds as pets. At the Zoo, we had a fair collection of birds of the parrot kind. They were wonderful, compared to, say, owls, who were pretty boring. They are smart and friendly and bond to their somewhat less intelligent humans. And yes they cuddle.
Special Article
In researching gifted leaders throughout history, I find a lot of lists. It is pretty obvious that most writers have no idea of what “leadership” means— nor of the gifts that make some excel. Guess I have my work cut out for me!
