Dr Bob on Power
And the Powerless
Dr Bob wrote me and I asked him for permission to post his comments. Thank you Bob.
What your Mommy never told you about the world
I don’t agree with everything. Just 99%. The 1 % are quibbles.
For example, the world of humans does work on power and power alone — that is, the present world— the modern world. Hunting and gathering societies are usually egalitarian, “reverse dominance” societies but any society larger than the Dunbar Number (150 people) is hierarchical and therefore some dominate others. Blame society, not human nature.
I find it hard to disagree.
I thought that that Bob was absolutely right about the Revolutionary War not being “revolutionary” - but a capitalist coup, the kind of thing Adam Smith warned against when he wrote about the “Vile Maxim”. That’s sheer genius, if you consider the ramifications.
As for Trump doing what he is told. It’s not like he is obedient to others. He is so narcissistic he thinks every idea is his, even if it contradicts something he said moments before. He is intellectually empty, a mental chameleon incapable of critical thought - rather like an unfortunately large segment of the public. That’s a semi-quibble. OK…I’m reaching….
As for the “globalists”, they don’t just not give a shit about America or Americans - they don’t give a shit about anyone other than themselves. Damn. Finding quibbles is hard!
As for bullies and the playground. Kids learn to avoid them because bullies almost always have gangs. Separate a bully from his gang, however, things can change, if they think you can fight and hurt them. Now, the US is afraid of Russia. It cannot rely on its gang in Europe obviously. It is also afraid of China. But not Honduras….
Bob is right. Governments are infantile. But babies are cute. Maybe governments are more like horny adolescents with zits and the clap.
Where bullying doesn’t work — bribery does. The glittering baubles of tech’ have made us lazy. Bob’s right about that too! “My kingdom for a horse!”. Richard III cared about his kingdom, not the horse, which was a means to an end
These days, things have gotten twisted and banal. “My home, my family, my kids for a smartphone”. We don’t care about the home, family and kids - just the smartphone.
Dr Bob’s conclusion is depressing.
No, revolutions don’t work anymore, not that they ever did. Nor even wars.
So how do we take back power? Russia and China have the right idea: autonomy. Breaking the ties — that bind us, hogtie us.
Ironically, Western aggression, including efforts at subversion and sanctions cut forced these countries to cut themselves off and development, leveraging cultural and civilizational values. With re-creation comes power - the power to confront—and freedom from the rules of the aggressor. I should mention that without equality and autonomy there can be no creative cooperation and collaboration.
Dr Bob’s Lesson. (Please take notes)
The world of humans (and probably everything else) works on power and power alone.
Who has the power does everything that power permits them to do. Those who do not have the power get done unto.
The US is an empire and always was intended to be one since well before the so-called “Revolutionary War” (really, perhaps the first capitalist coup). As it has gained in power, it has become more of an empire.
Nothing that the Trump Administration is doing is new, except that they can’t keep their mouths shut and are so full of themselves that they openly boast of their crimes. But they are probably right: no one is going to hold them to account for those crimes, and much of their base actually gets their rocks off on the boasting. They live vicariously through Trump, who they mistakenly think is powerful and manly. He is a powerless putz. He does what he’s told.
Nothing, nothing, nothing else has changed. And it will not change until the US — really a vicious, transnational, super-parasite class of “globalists” who give zero shits about America or Americans — is utterly FORCED to change it.
And that’s not happening anytime soon. Every other government is out for themselves — criminals all — and there is no unity or solidarity, BRICS be damned. Watch kids on a playground. Do they gang up to stop the bullies, or does everyone kowtow to the bully? Governments are infantile. Works the same way.
Tech has made humans lazy. No one wants to risk the goodies. Revolutions are so 19th Century. So everyone, in the US, Europe, Latin America, and parts of Asia and West Asia, is just going to roll over for it.
So you can ignore all claims that the US is changing its stripes. As it fails here, it just moves over there to try again. Ukraine a no go? OK, maybe Taiwan. Or Venezuela. Or Honduras. Gotta get a winner sometime.
It will not change until they are absolutely forced to change it. Power does not yield to a “demand”. It yields only to a greater power — because it has no other choice.
Rare Footage : Pallas Cat
Pallas cats are native to central Asia and are very shy and do not tame! But; they can be friendly. If they are hungry, I guess.
I can be friendly if am hungry too. But I am not as cute. But relatively tame, although poorly house-trained.
Like the cat, I beg a lot. As with https://buymeacoffee.com/julicow. Just buy me a coffee and I purr.
You can also help by posting urls to my articles to websites and podcasts and so on. I really need to build my subscriber base. On “X” I have just 300 followers!

which came first, the chicken or the egg?
... one thing is certain, however, that the whole world is reflected in children, in ourselves (and vice versa) ...
so everyone can only be responsible for themselves, whether for progress or for laziness and devotion (self-sacrifice/self-destruction).
It is difficult to take a step forward when the majority is going backwards ... it is always easier to take a step together with them, especially if one also receives an award, recognition.
A crisis should wake people up, and this is indeed happening to many, but unfortunately not to the extent that it can be called prevention for the future.
As the times are, so are we ourselves, in fact, time can do nothing for anything, only us. And who would dare among those who have climbed high to admit that they were wrong, that they have lost themselves, that they no longer have the essence in themselves, that they may no longer even recognize other diseases than surgical ones.
They all seem to be doing too well, full of happiness at the expense of others who they constantly exploit.
This disease, perhaps bigger than the world we perceive, nevertheless appears invisible and untouchable. And the cancer cells of this disease are those who, out of laziness, associate themselves with successful superiority, not only to feel better, but also to have a common voice. Together they scream with full hatred at the unsuccessful, from whom they also take bread from their hands.
Children know this, but they soon adapt if they do not have parents who have already woken up.
Thank You Julian
