I call my coffebuyer Bob, “Dr Bob” on account of his having the equivalent of at least seven PhDs from that most prestigious educational institution of all — Real Life.
Dr Bob is one of those rarities — a genuine polymath and autodidact (autodidacts don’t have to be polymaths but all polymaths are autodidacts), who knows a lot things I don’t.
In any event, he sent me the following comments as an email and I asked him for permission to post it since it expresses a very straight forward point of view that you are unlikely to get in mainstream blogs or podcasts such as the Duran. I have added a few photos here and there because I like pictures.
I thought the timing of this article was good. July 1 is Canada Day which celebrates Canadian Confederation a couple of days earlier than July 4 in the US. Snarky, very snarky.
Dr Bob Speaks
The US is going to collapse, but how it collapses is of intense concern to all life on Earth. It could go out with a whimper, but it is equally or more likely to go out with a big, big bang.
This is why I keep trying to explain to people—who shut me out immediately because they are utterly brainwashed (how sad)—that Xi and Putin are the greatest statesmen who have ever lived. By a large margin.
The US has been attacking Russia, then the USSR, then the Russian Federation steadily all through the last century and more. WWII (in Europe) was actually an attack on the Soviet Union using Nazi Germany as a weapon. (It was also the US seizing the British Empire for itself.) In the Pacific, it was an attack on China, with the US hoping not to free China, Korea, etc. from Japan, but to take over from Japan. World domination. That was always the plan. Didn’t quite work out.
In the 1990s, the US thought they’d finally achieved it. The “unipolar” power! The HEGEMON. We rule! They proceeded to loot and plunder the new Russian Federation and to peel off pieces, the eventual goal being to break Russia up entirely into small statelets (as it did with Yugoslavia), to pit them against each other (divide and conquer), and then to bleed them dry. Same as everywhere. Millions of Russians died thanks to the US and “shock therapy” between ’91 and ’99.
Then along comes this Putin guy and he pulls Russia out of the fire. He gets control over the American-created “oligarchs” (read parasites) who are destroying the Russian economy and causing capital flight to the West. He restarts the arms programs put on hold by Yeltsin. He rebuilds Russian industry. And he retains a calm and measured hold on the corrupt Russian society, slowly rooting the rot out bit by bit.
In 2014, after the regime change efforts by the US in Chechnya and Georgia had failed, the US overthrew the Ukrainian government and installed the Ukrainian equivalent of ISIS as the new, illegitimate government. Note: both al Qaeda and ISIS and most other muslim terrorists groups were invented, trained, armed, and funded by the US and do the bidding of the US. They are proxy weapons. The current Nazi Ukraine government (using “Nazi” broadly) is a US proxy. It will be expended—no concern whatsoever for what happens to the Ukrainians—to destroy Russia. The US will never stop this effort until it succeeds or is crushed.
The Russians are winning this war hands down. No contest. They are not just beating Ukraine, they are beating Nato. The US can’t afford to get in a direct conflict (and neither can’t any of the states protected by Article 5), so they arm, fund, train, and control Ukraine. Best guess: more than a million Ukrainians dead. Russians? Between 100-130,000. And the current ratio is as high as 20:1 Ukrainians to Russians. Ukraine will submit by early next year if not sooner. There is nothing the US/Nato can do to prevent it.
But the US has crossed one after another of Russia’s “red lines”, including providing long-range missiles and allowing them to be fired deep in to Russia (all the way to Moscow, threatening the Kremlin), providing advanced weapons such as F-16s, Patriot air defense systems, ATACMS missiles, Abrams tanks, etc., and conducting terrorist attacks inside Russia (Crocus City being the worst). Each time the Biden administration hesitated, fearful that the Russians would respond by attacking Nato directly, but then the neocons won out (they have zero restraint) and the lines were crossed.
But Russia did NOT attack the US and Nato directly despite enormous pressure inside Russia to do so. Putin demurred. Attacks on Ukraine (and Western forces in Ukraine) were ramped up slowly but steadily, but no American ships were sunk, no American or Nato bases attacked, no American AWACS planes shot down, no American satellites destroyed. All this despite that Russia easily has the capacity to defeat the US in a conventional war fought on Russia’s doorstep. And to do horrific damage to the American homeland with submarine-based conventional missiles. The US carrier fleets are sitting ducks, and they know it.
Unfortunately, this patience and restraint was read by the vacuous neocons as “weakness”, which just spurred them to greater heights of insanity. Frankly, MI6 is the worst. They are literally out of their minds.
And if it goes nuclear, everyone loses. The Russians have the most powerful and modern nuclear force of all.
Similarly, the US has been baiting China by sending US forces to Taiwan, arming and funding the separatists there, etc. There were (maybe still are) US soldiers on an island just a few kilometers off the coast of mainland China! Just imagine if the Chinese had soldiers on Martha’s Vineyard. Or even in Jamaica.
Taiwan is not a country. It is a province of China. The Communist Party of China (the CPC, not the “CCP” as US media insist on calling it, hoping to tar it with association with the old CCCP Soviet Union) is the ruler of all of China, including Taiwan (and Xizang, which the West calls Tibet—get over it). So the US interference there is literally the same as if China were arming and funding a militia in Texas that had seized control of the local government.
The US is trying very hard to goad China into moving forces into Taiwan to force the “separatists" out, which the US media will frame as a vicious and unprovoked attack on the “independent” Taiwan. (Note: all but a handful of countries agreed to the “One China Policy” including the US long, long ago. There is only one China, Taiwan is a province, and the legitimate government of China is the one in Beijing. Period. The US is playing with fire.)
Another note that no one seems to get. The “separatists” in Taiwan are not separatists. That government is the remnants of the old government of China, pre-Mao, under Chiang Kai-shek (Jiang Jieshi) who died in 1975. They consider themselves the rightful government of all of China, not just Taiwan. So you can see that everyone in America is utterly disinformed if they are informed at all.
But Xi has been incredibly patient. He says that Taiwan will be reunited peacefully in 2049! That will almost certainly be long after Xi is dead.
So you should say thanks to these two key statesmen every night and every morning that you wake up not dead. If the US ever does succeed in killing or overthrowing Putin—something they have tried to do dozens if not hundreds of times already—the most likely replacement could well be a hardliner who yields to the pressure to use tactical nukes in Ukraine in revenge for Ukraines attempted genocide of Russians. Or who decides that it’s time to punish the British, the French, the Germans, and the Polish with direct missile attacks on their territories. And if that happens, well, the snake is out of the basket, isn't it?
Many Thanks to Supporters
I have to express my thanks — and those of Chappy and Ichi— to my supporters who donated coffees to help us survive June.
Now it is July. Tokyo is melting and I hope my air conditioners hold up.
I also appreciate all the messages and ideas and comments.
As I have mentioned, I reply to each donation personally. Yeah, I know I am kind of chatty. So it is taking me a while to catch up with everyone!
However, I am determined to write a reply to everyone donation.\
There are soooooooo many interesting people out there who think for themselves.
You guys give me more than coffee — you give me hope.

Absolutely agree with most of it. I could have written it myself but I work mostly in long soundbites.
Hats off to Bob and Julian for posting it.
As an American, I hope this iteration of the US is fucked. Not only is it violent, extremely greedy, stupid, evil, and soulless, it no longer has ANY idea about how to improve life FOR ITS OWN CITIZENS. I'm 67. I don't give a shit how the US dissolves or implodes. Unlike the 20th century US, it's WORTHLESS.
