Georgia
Suddenly Georgia is on everyone's mind, at least in the Western Media, where it is indeed an "old sweet song"-- the same one they have been playing since 1945.
The vocalist changes. The lyrics are rewritten a little. But the song ? That is still the same. Of course, there is a chorus, off-tune.
In a joint statement, the governments of Germany, Canada, Estonia, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Sweden and Ukraine said they do not recognize the results of the elections in Georgia. Slavyangrad
If a country elects a government that Washington doesn't like, it is instantly "illegitimate" and it’s a "disputed election" no matter how clear the verdict of the people, no matter how free or fair.
The US, as I wrote recently in my Special Report to coffeebuyers really doesn’t like the idea of the People electing their leaders.
For example, the US made unelected Juan Guaido President of Venezuela.
Kamala Harris is the unelected Democratic candidate for President. The US’ man Zelensky is unelected “President” of Ukraine. You see the pattern here?
Venezuela
The “sweet old song” was played recently in Venezuela, which probably has the world's most advanced and fairest electoral systems—certainly better than that in the US.
The recent election was reviewed by the Venezuelan Supreme Court, with the opposition given the opportunity to provide evidence supporting their allegations-- which they did not deign to do. The decision was clear: Maduro had won with a substantial majority. And fairly.
The US and the EU—and even countries like Brazil and Columbia with rightwing "deep states"— all disputed the results.
Lula of Brazil went so far as to veto Venezuelan membership in BRICS -- which shows how entrenched neo-fascist power is in Brazil and how precarious Lula's control. After all, he just got out of prison in Brazil. 580 days.
Since Maduro was re-elected, the MSM has been adamant that he is “illegitimate” – although not using that term for Zelenski who really fits that description.
The MSM (‘Merican Stream Media)
The reaction of the MSM to the Georgian election was therefore no surprise. “That sweet old song”.

Of course, the Media were at pains to highlight comments by the President of Georgia, Salome Zourabichvili —whose role is now largely ceremonial with real power vested in parliament and the prime minister, after Georgia's shift to a parliamentary system.
She was born in France to a family of wealthy anti-Russian emigres and worked previously for the French government! A wee bit compromised. She sang along with Washington.
Georgia’s president said Sunday she did not recognize the results of this weekend’s parliamentary vote, which election officials say was won by the ruling party, adding that the country fell victim to a “Russian special operation” aimed at moving it off a path toward Europe. WaPo
She is calling for people to take to the streets to protest. Something like this?
Zourabichvili claims the election was stolen - by the Russians. Biden wants to throw Trump in prison for encouraging “insurrection”, when disgruntled voters took an unauthorized tour of the Capitol. Biden, however, supports Zourabichvili . Just as he tacitly supported anti-Maduro rioters.
The Georgia Dream Party is not anti-European but it does not want to join NATO or get involved in European and American conflicts—especially with the Ukraine War winding out in Russia’s favor and Europe collapsing economically. Yet, the EU thinks the Dream Party is run by Russians. An EU Commissioner went so far as to indirectly threaten Irakli Kobakhidze, the Dream Party PM with assassination— as almost happened to Fico in Slovakia. Who does he think he is? Bibi Netanyahu?
Georgia is situated advantageously in terms of Asian trade. Europe is geographically irrelevant
The Dream Party naturally sees Georgia’s future as part of the "Heartland" -- Eurasia – as it grows economically. Just as many countries in the region do.
That said, the party is not "pro-Russian" - it is pro-Georgia-- emphasizing Georgian autonomy and independence.
Since Russia supported the breakaway republics of Ossetia and Abkhazia which Georgia claims as its own (despite the views of the locals), it is also unlikely that Georgia will be setting up diplomatic relations with Russia anytime soon.
Economic relations..well...that's private enterprise, right?
Georgia saw Ukraine. And it does not want to be another proxy in the West's games of empire.
Of course, the MSM will not give up— insisting the elections were “rigged”. Unlike American election sin 2020 of course!
You will see the same kind of allegations made about the Georgian elections as were made about Venezuela’s and later proven false with photographic and other evidence -- which were never remarked upon in the MSM….
Ballot box stuffing
Voter harassment
Multiple voting
Ballot count manipulation
These allegations are as nebulous in the case of Georgia as those in Venezuela.
Add to that the accusation of "Russian interference'—the reality notwithstanding.
However, it is clear that the West - the US , the EU, and their associated NGOs now forced to register in George — not to mention intelligence agencies, and even the Ukrainians— have been hard at work with millions of dollars to undermine the Dream Party.
Guess what?
the Georgian Dream garnered 53.91%,
the Coalition for Change – 11.03%,
the Unity-National Movement party – 10.16%,
the Strong Georgia coalition – 8.81%,
the Gakharia For Georgia party – 7.77%.
Yeah, Georgia is on my mind.
Hallowe’en.
In the Trossachs of Western Scotland, a Full Moon was known as “Macfarlane’s Lantern” because that is because the Macfarlanes would be out stealing stuff. That’s also why there are no Macfarlanes left in Scotland and why most of my family were lawyers and judges. A step up from stealing cows? Maybe a step down.
The download links for the Special Reports are good until Nov. 1. Some people reported problems with the links but if you have such problems., I can use Dropbox instead in that case. Just let me know!
Of course, coffees are appreciated . Click here to donate coffees to the Ichi and Chappy Fund.
As a Canadian we are treated by our politicians to lies, deception, Five Eyes foreign policy with high taxes to support it.
Hooray for the sensible people of Georgia to see through their disinformation presented as a liberty..
If Brazil leaves the organization it's too bad Turkeye isn't a full member yet. The members can substitute Turkeye for Brazil and we have TRICS!
