In yesterday's post, I wrote about how Russia is using negotiations, knowing that even under the best circumstances such talks cannot not yield any kind of results within the next year or so, and that American involvement is meaningless.
But I left out the most important thing.
Regime change
It's "regime change".
Zelensky's incompetence has once again proven its worth to the Russian side.
By demanding a one-on-one meeting with Putin when the Americans and the Russians had already agreed on a different format for the talks, which was to be between delegations from both sides, Zelinsky thought that Putin's obvious refusal would be of some advantage in PR terms, indicating that he, Putin, was not serious about resolving the conflict!
The Americans of course were upset by this tactic – and made sure that the Green Gob knew it. Trump can play games. But the Gob cannot.
As a result, Ukrainians did eventually send a delegation, all of them Russian-speaking, none of them with any power to decide anything other than a prisoner exchange, which included civilians that Ukraine had taken hostage in Kursk, a verifiable war crime.
Interestingly enough, the Russian translator on the Ukrainian side, disappeared as soon as he got to Istanbul, no doubt soon to pop up in Moscow!
Ukrainian support for the Neo Nazi Regime weakening
The Western media assume that the Ukrainians are of one mind.
That is certainly not the case – not at least, at this point – with Russian victories all along the line, and enormous casualties for Ukraine – as many as 1.5 million – between 10 and 20 times as much as for the Russians.
In 2014, the neo-Nazis and various neofascist groups carried out a coup and immediately set out to infiltrate public institutions, not just the military, the government and the like, but also education and the media – just as the Nazis did in the 30s and Germany. That said, the Ukrainian civil service and bureaucrats at the local level were non-ideological and just did what they were told.
The new Ukrainian powers that gave the orders got immediate support from the US and its European client states, which meant a lot of money flowing in to the chronically corrupt Ukrainian state and state actors at the top ensuring their loyalty. Fascism, as you know, can be profitable. In the West we call it “capitalism”.
As they say in the movies, "just follow the money". If you do that you will see that the millions of dollars from the West benefited the already well to do in Kiev. Just the nothing for people in the countryside, who were expected to volunteer to fight the Russians and die, with little ammunition, few weapons, and neo-Nazi brigades behind them to shoot anyone apparently lacking enthusiasm.
Freedom requires sacrifices. Blood sacrifices.
Ukrainian media are still trumpeting Ukrainian victories on the battlefield. Ordinary people can see there is no room any longer in the cemeteries. And millions have voted with their feet by fleeing West or East.
Ukraine 2025, however, is not Ukraine 2013 —not by any stretch of the imagination. It is a land without hope, even delusional hope.
The Ukrainian public must know, as much as they probably want to deny it, that Zelensky does what he does because he fears someone in the wings, putting a 22 caliber round in his head when he goes off stage to take a leak. He is a puppet.
For the elites, there is less and less money now to graft. They could go to Europe except the Europeans don't want them – and that awful flushing sound you hear is Europe going down the pipes. Economic dysentery.
By contrast, Russia's economy is growing by leaps and bounds – certainly doing better than the US or the West, and with the lowest debt levels in history able to withstand the coming global economic collapse very well.
People in Moscow live in what is now one of the world's most advanced cities, clean and beautiful, enjoying advantages that were promised to Ukrainians in 2014 but never delivered.
Poor unhappy Russians
Winners and Losers
Russia is a winner. The West is a loser.
Who would you want to rely on?
Russians are fully aware of what is happening in Ukraine. Ukrainian propaganda portrays Russians as less than human — violent and rabid.
Putin's willingness to negotiate and do deal with the situation in an organized rational manner from a position of strength, along with his proven honesty, humanity and ability to make effective compromises, says the opposite and wins trust.
Who can trust Zelinsky? Who can trust Trump for that matter? Who can trust the Germans or the French or the British?
The delegation that visited Istanbul will have returned to Kiev and will be talking to others – privately – about their experiences. The Russians treated them with courtesy and respect.
If there is going to be regime change, Putin will need Ukrainians to administer the country. He will have to do as the Americans did in Tokyo in 1945, and use existing elites, watchfully, making them prove their loyalty as they put in place reforms.
The Japanese Solution
In Japan, the SCAP recruited civil servants, technocrats from the Japan’s industrial oligarchy— the Zaibatsu — and local bureaucrats without obvious military or ideological orientations, plus a few compliant politicians. They didn’t automatically trust them much so they made it clear they had to prove their loyalty with actions, not words. It turned out to be a win-win.
The same happened in West Germany after World War II, when the allies enlisted ex-Nazi sympathizers – once again making them prove their loyalty and rewarding them when they did.
You can expect Ukrainian military to collapse and the Russians to lay siege to Kiev. Already, the Russians are experimenting with fiber optic FPV drones hunting down the Ukrainian military in the city of Kharkov. Expect the same in other major cities when the Russians get close enough. Odessa, for sure. And Kiev.
More about that tomorrow!
Sooner or later, the Russians will want to remove Zelensky, who likely will flee to the West along with his puppet masters, fearing retaliation for crimes against humanity. In the West “genocide” is just another word for “business”.
A New Ukraine
When the Americans took Tokyo, they immediately purged more than 200,000 people in government and industry.
That will leave a power vacuum, which has to be filled. Moscow already has some contacts already. It's comportment in Istanbul goes a long way if we think about their need to enlist Ukrainians in the creation of a new Ukraine-- a pluralistic democratic, neutral Ukraine returning to its roots in the Russian family of nations.

Unfortunately, many of the former NAZIs the US brought to power were guilty of some of the most egregious holocaust/war crimes ever committed. We executed some but let others go, once we had pivoted from "Russia good!" to "Russia is source of all evil". Killing Jews was a crime to be hammered home by AIPAC, etc. Killing Russians was forgivable. Americans are still being taught this bullshit. Rootin for the Russian people, rootin for Putin.
Thank you for this Julian.
The future of what we used to call Ukraine, after subtracting the parts that will return to mother Russia, will depend on what policy the US will follow the next 3½ year. Will the Administration (be forced to) return the Biden Neocon Policy and support the Monster that now rules EU+NATO, or will it become a more neutral force in Geopolitics under Trump ?
Nobody can see the future. But looking at the NOW in wordless reality can give you an impression for what could become of Ukraine - and in Palestine, for which a large, worldwide Class Battle is mounting currently -
I found this recent Judge-Napolitano - Professor Doctorow video: 'Trump/Putin: Who Has the Upper Hand?' But its most important part is Doctorow's vision on Trump. He is confirming my sensing of Trump as blowing a lot of noise and smoke around to prevent the Monster to create an attack with its tentacles within the Deep State, the MIC and the US-Zionists on what he tries to accomplish, because it is never absolutely clear what his intentions are (when you think in the words Trump uses to confuse everybody.

Just listen carefully.
If Trump loses, the most likely outcome for Ukraine is to be defeated and the NAZI-Coup-Regime supporters flee to a European Country to form a 'Regime in Exile', preparing a 2030 Attack on Russia. And Iran will get its chance to prove its strength.
If Trump Wins and the MAGA movement will win the next Election, it will look much different: US could be in BRICS or at least have good economic connections with them and the ICC will try to arrest the Zionist Criminals in a peaceful West-Asia.
Just saying.
