Many thanks to all those who contributed coffees to help me get a new air conditioner to replace my antique that was dying . Air conditioners are horribly expensive. I didn’t have one the first few years in Japan — didn’t need one. Now, however…..
During the Vietnam War, I somehow never thought about air-conditioning. Guess I was young then.
The new one arrived just in time— works just fine and is much more energy efficient than the old one -which will save me on energy bills, too.
So, once again, you guys have saved my worthless life. But also Chappy and Ichi’s very worthy lives.
THANK YOU!
Other stuff
I cross posted a long and excellent article by “Indie” today. I will comment on that another time.
I thought it was better if I offered it to you, unsullied by my thoughts—so you can do as I did — think on it.
Otherwise, I spent the day fixing my audio system for SouthFront videos and researching Russian sources on the KGB and NKVD.
Apart from that the Charlie Kirk story is getting interesting. Only in America!
Tomorrow….and tomorrow ….and tomorrow. .
Congrats !!
I need an air conditioner too. But i rent a house from a social cooperation (typical Dutch). And the walls, windows and such things are made to keep the warmth inside, to spare money on Gas for heating.
That is fine. I pay € 160.= ($ 190,=) per month on energy, so that's low.
But an air-co needs to blow hot air out, in summer, so hole(s) drilling in a wall and that is a problem. When i die (i heard that will come unexpectedly, and they heard that too), nobody will pay for repair of that hole or the holes... So: No sir, no Air-co's...
Luckily this summer there were just only a few days with above 30 °C and that meant i had just 2 nights that i couldn't sleep in my own Bedroom... But what about next summer ???
Why is all in this life so terrible complex...
