Thank you Julian. The US military has long known it would get its ass kicked in a Persian Gulf tussle with Iran following the Millennium Challenge 2002 wargame and the brilliance of "Iranian" commander Marine Lieutenant General (ret'd) Paul K. Van Riper. Up against a USN armada headed by two carriers, he launched a massive cruise missile salvo and swarms of small boats. In the simulation his opening attack "sank": one CVN, 10 cruisers and five amphibious ships.
That was roughly a quarter century ago. Today Iran has unstoppable ballistic missiles, a variety of land and sea cruise missiles, thousands of sophisticated drones of about a dozen different types, hundreds of missile armed speedboats, subs, mines and satellite surveillance (it's own and "foreign" nudge, nudge).
What chance would a 30-knot supercarrier and its escorts have against a massed attack of ballistic and cruise anti-ship missiles backed up by hundreds of drones and pissed off IRGC guys in
Centuries ago the British Navy said "A ship's a fool to fight a fort." Iran apparently learned the lessons of the Millennium Challenge whereas the U.S. still operates like it's 1944.
While the rest of the world is behaving completely crazy, You keep all roads open, Julian.
NATO is preparing to provoke Russia, with the blessing of the US, after which it will slowly sink, leaving the US in an empty ocean.
In a TV monologue Trump seems very angry and indignant and i sensed he was angry at Bibi and his animal fellows, that they wanted a hard strike on Iran, but maybe I might have been mistaken about that.
So i will be awake early tomorrow, to find out what happened.
For those who are curious i recommend @Transition_Protocol,
“Death to America” is a slogan, not a threat or a plan; hardly the basis for a major military operation.
The US has a big problem in the form of nuclear-armed Israel, which refuses to be brought to heel. Iran knows the Izzies will turn parts of Iran into parking glass-paved lots if Iran decides to end Israel as a thing, so they proceed with caution. The US knows it has this problem too, as well as the vieled threat that the Samson Option already has many of the European and several other world capitals on the target list.
But another problem for the US is two-fold: It lacks magazine depth, which is why a few weeks of stand-off bombing inevitably leads to the US (and Israel) begging for a cease fire just as it looks like Iran has both on the ropes, and even if the US has remaining stockpiles to re-arm, it has no friendly ports at which it can reload its fleet ships with defensive and offensive missiles. Apparently some genius in the ‘90s decided the US was so mighty that it would always have “friendly” ports in the region, so they cancelled systems to re-load at sea. Oops.
So, the question is, “When will the Iranians get tired of the Kabuki and start playing for the win?” I guess one can ask the same of the Russians. It must be galling to the powers that be in DC, London, and Tel Aviv that their adversaries aren’t taking the bait. Then again, most of our nukes have been sitting there, essentially decomposing because their components have a finite shelf life, and the US hasn’t been making as many as it did during the Cold War 1.0, so only a fool would think that they might actually work if used in anger.
Not to mention that first-striking people with state of the art, next-gen warhead delivery systems using your 50+ years old, poorly maintained, rusty and leaky nukes handled either by diversity hires with a degree in gender studies or half-senile retirees begged to come back for a while 'cause nobody knows how to use the 8 inch floppy disks with the launch codes on, might not be the smartest idea. Then again, Trump and his buddies think that "smart" is the name of a sugar-coated candy.
Jokes aside, Israel knows perfectly well the US might bring it to heel in seconds, not even minutes, just by turning off the money tap; that's why they've been infiltrating every layer of the American political, economic and military institutions with honeypot traps. That's the actual Samson option: American elites, touch Israel and you'll go down with it.
Well, I can see agent Trump and his team are doing a spectacular job of making sure the American monster finishes itself off. Every time there's even the slightest risk of things calming down, or - oh, the horror! - thoughts of actually using diplomacy instead of bombs, agent T knows exactly when and how to intervene and cause maximum chaos, pushing the US further down the steep cliff it is falling off. Absolutely starling job, when all it's said and done, he'll be surely knighted by the King as thanks for an oustanding effort in securing the British interests. MI6 could not have trained a better agent, James Bond be damned.
(DISCLAIMER: It's sarcasm. It should be self evident, but with the functional illiteracy epidemic one can never be sure)
As an American living in France, I kind of find your pessimism annoying. To paraphrase Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, there is no point to the world if there is no Western Civilisation.
People of White European descent, circa 10% of the world population, have done more to better the lives of the other 90% than any of the several billion mud-hut or stone-hut dwellers now clamoring to come to our shores.
Come on, Jenny, own up to the fact that as bad as our forefathers might have been by modern standards of righteousness, they were better for the world than the wretches to whom we are now surrrendering our posterity.
No, Israel started all this, and Israel is the creation of the City of London, from which most of the ills of the world stem. Paris, Brussels, and Berlin are added to get at the other Rothchilds.
Negiotiations through warfare make the MOU look like a quaint aspiration for the civilized . Suspense as Will says so well . As The Forever War gunslinger with his Gang finally bites the dust.

Yes. Transition Protocol is good butt I have absolutely no faith in Pakistan.

Not every Country does war like the US/Western World.
Many countries try NOT to kill civilians but Americans have no idea about different cultures.

When a country is ruled by genocidal pedophiles, chanting for it's death seems like an obvious reaction
It’ll turn out he’s just personally aggrieved that the Ayatollah’s funeral pulled bigger numbers than Trumpdom 250.
I think it's time the USA is bombed!
How about a few warm-up trials on London, Paris, Berlin, Brussels, and Tel Aviv first?
I a in France...........and I simply do not care anymore as long as the Western World is abolished completely.

US started all this. People in the US go about their business understanding that geopolitically they are thousands of kilometers away! Hmmmmm
No, Israel started all this, and Israel is the creation of the City of London, from which most of the ills of the world stem. Paris, Brussels, and Berlin are added to get at the other Rothchilds.
BUT how come the US is now owned by Israhell. Did they have to do what London said?
So please tell me the US is not complicit?
