My next special article for coffee buyers has turned into two articles, with events in the US and the rest of the world unfolding quickly and becoming more complex.

What is the article about?

It is my opinion that the US and its satellites constitute a kind of empire.

All empires collapse eventually. It seldom takes longer than a couple of centuries. And for the US it's pretty much "time". In that sense, Biden is a fitting avatar of this geriatric state we call “America”. Neither he nor the US are really in touch with reality anymore.

Trump will take over of course. Another avatar for imperial failure.

Questions

There are many questions as to when and how the US will meet its end—but no one really questions that that end is coming.

Consequences?

When Rome fell, the world did not end – but it changed.

When the US falls? We just don't know. But we can expect global challenge. And as with the Romans, it may be the barbarians and save us!

So in this next article I hope to deal with with the symptoms, indicators and mechanisms of collapse already evident.

In the companion article that follows I hope to deal with the possible consequences and effects. And maybe the barbarians!

Naturally all this takes – and has taken – a lot of research. I want to put things in terms that the average person (Me!) can understand more easily.

Anyway… It's late at night here in Tokyo again and I'm getting tired. But I hope to finish the first of these two special articles next week for you.

These are my closest relatives in the animal kingdom, sharing about 99% of my DNA . 99% of yours too. They are called bonobos – sometimes "pygmy chimpanzees" . Unlike ordinary chimpanzees, they are matriarchal and avoid violence .

They resolve tension and conflicts by sex, better known as Bonobo Handshake . Naturally they are endangered . Good guys finish last.
