The angst of the political class
The political class in Europe and the Anglo-American Empire is panicking. Nothing is going the way it is supposed to.
The problem really is that Western politicians learned everything they know in high school – not just intellectually – but emotionally too. Their worldview was reinforced after that in college.
Reality is what their friends say. It's an ontological circle jerk.
They are adolescents pretending to “maturity" – without the faintest notion of what that should be or could be. Much less integrity.
The trouble is right now they don't have any money. They are failing all the tests. And they're not getting laid. They need a little love—whatever that is!
Political Despair
The politicians look on Ukraine and despair.
As I wrote in my last article, the Russians are making steady progress, a village at a time. Like Canute, the West sees the water lapping at its toes.
Zelensky recently said that the Ukraine had lost 31,000 men since February 2022— which was taken as the absolute truth by the mainstream media.
Ukraine will have lost more than that in February 2024 alone. The Russian MoD figure is lowballed at 444,000. Most observers say 200,000 to 300,000 KIA, and as many wounded with over 100,00 permanently crippled and a huge number MIA, mostly deserters.
The Banderites therefore are now talking about a “defensive strategy”. The hard fact is they cannot defend the vast territories of Western Ukraine without withdrawing their troops from all of occupied Russian Ukraine, which means everything south of Krivoy Rog and east of the Dnieper—which inevitably cuts off of Odessa from support.
The Ukraine has resorted to using chemical weapons—gas— the use of which the Russians documented and presented to the OPCW, which sadly is under Western control and has deigned to acknowledge receiving—permitting the Americans to claim that there was “no evidence” at all.
Ukrainian use of chemical weapons would implicate the US in violating the Geneva Convention which prohibits them not only using such things but supplying them also.
The use of gas didn't turn the tide in World War I, and it won't do much good in the SMO either — especially if the fighting moves to Western Ukraine. The wind tends to blow West.
But since politicians think like teenagers they don't care about facts – they care about what the in-group thinks. That's what is popularly known as their “base”. No, not in the public but in the billionaire class. In high school, they were the rich kids.
One wonders what high schools the Banderites went to— if they went at all. In groups
The trouble is that in-groups can become out-groups.
In this regard in the US, the proverbial excrement has hit the fan. It is quite clear that Biden cannot win against Donald Trump— who cannot govern without first purging the FBI and the CIA and the State Department.
Rather cleverly, Putin has said he prefers Biden because he is more “predictable”.
He didn't say the obvious – that Biden is also the bigger moron-- crazy as that may sound-- since Trump is not the brightest bulb lighting the political toilet. In a serious geopolitical "win lose" conflict it is always better to have your enemies led by their dimmest and dumbest. That is very clearly the case with Zelensky and the Banderite regime. One mistake after another.
However, as Biden was Trump 2.0, so Trump will be Biden 2.0. Presidents are like pimples. Some are hard and scaly. Some ooze pus. You can treat them with ointment – but that doesn't cure the underlying problem-- adolescence.
Right now, the West is really, really hormonal.
Putin understands that the problem is systemic and civilizational.
On the second anniversary of the SMO, "world leaders" visited Kiev with some fanfare to assure the world that Russia would not win. By "world leaders" they meant Justin Trudeau and his favorite neoNazi Christina Freeland, Boris Johnson, Bill Blair. Biden and other major figures were absent. Freeland did not bring her favorite WWII Nazi scarf…..
“Putin cannot win,” Trudeau said in his speech. “Ukraine will see victory, just like what happened on this ground two years ago.”
“Victory, just like what happened on this ground two years ago.” A wee bit counterfactual. There was no victory for Kiev which ended up under siege until the Russians withdrew—voluntarily, as a sign of good faith— in April. But Justin was a drama—not a history teacher. It was always best when surrounded by admiring 16-year-old girls.
Not to be outdone, Macron held a summit of European leaders in the Elysees. That’ where Russian Cossacks camped out after Napoleons’ abdication in 1814. Ah...history.
Macron, who likes to consult with (Sir) Tony Blair was you know is big on wars, floated the idea of sending European troops to Ukraine. But, of course, NATO doesn’t want to do that. Nor would the public accept it. What could go wrong?
However, Emmanuel is jealous of Justin's hair.
Macron also announced a new coalition would be set up to supply Ukraine with “missiles and bombs of medium and long range to carry out deep strikes”. There was a “broad consensus to do more and quicker”, he added, saying there was also a consensus to ramp up joint production of armaments with Ukraine and boost its own military industry.
In other words, he would supply Ukraine with missiles, like the German Taurus, with the range to hit deep into Russia. That’s a red line for Russia. And could result in Russia strikes on NATO bases. In any case, the Germans have said they won’t do that.
In the end, Macron will have to send guys with swords.
Let us keep in mind the West likes to make a public display of talks and meetings generating a lot of incendiary rhetoric which is not for the Russians but rather fireworks to shore up support for themselves with a public that is finding it hard to pay the bills.
A bellweather is Starbucks which recently lost US $12 billion. The middle class is hurting and when that happens, politics gets interesting. Who believes the legacy media anymore? The public is beginning to speak out.
Will the politicians listen?
Nah, these forever-kids are too busy cheering for their favorite team, which still hasn't scored any points. Just gotten more and more brain damage.
But the more stupid pre-electoral posturing and flag, missile and bomb waving Western politicians do, the more they harden Russian resolve to expand right to the Polish border.
One wonders how the Poles and Slovaks and Baltic peoples will feel to look east and see Russian soldiers waving at them a few hundred meters away.
I know what I would do – surrender.
In 2025, Russia will have 1.5 million soldiers under arms, and a much-modernized Air Force, Navy, and missile force. The S500 can shoot down hypersonic missiles.
PS
The M1 Abrams destroyed by the Russians is not an American tank, it was transferred to Ukraine, which means it is Ukrainian. American tanks are still the best in the world! – US White House. In Washington Saturday Night Live has been replaced by Every Night Live.

Zoo Story
This is a Red Panda also known as a Lesser Panda, which is not really a Panda at all— but the single member of an animal family all its own. When I worked at the zoo, there were lots of them. Now they are endangered. They are very easy to get along with but they don't make good pets. One thing is they are nocturnal. For another, they both solitary and territorial. And they can give you a nasty bite!
Treat them right as wild animals– and with respect— and they will treat you right in return, despite your being an oversized hairless monkey and with respect.
And I really like them a lot. And never had an issue.
They are so cute. But….
I don't think they should be in zoos either. What they need is not zoos but protected habitats in the wild.
As pathetic as our octogenarian leaders are, there is no hope in sight from the younger leaders in the US, Canada and Europe who are absolute, arrogant, blithering idiots. I never quite imagined how so many leaders from so many Western countries could coalesce into one blob of hubris so vast, none have any interest in actual statecraft and diplomacy. It's all about the "rules-based order," baby!
The dog suffers from separation anxiety. He knows when its owners are leaving, and alternates between being a pain underfoot and delivering the saddest version of its eyes. But when they throw a chewy treat in the opposite direction of the door, reaction overcomes goal and he immediately races for it, and thus loses his argument for a place on the back seat of the car.
That's most of the USA and UK's politicians - childish, buffoonish, reactionary, looking for a mirror to ask "Whose the fairest of us all? Pick me, me, ME!".
Then there are the few who understand the sociopath game, and are deliberate and diabolical.
