Is Putin Russia’s FDR?
I finally finished that special article for coffee buyers.
After more than a dozen rewrites, it turned out to be quite long— so I have broken it into two parts.
Many thanks to the messages which people sent me – keeping me working.
The first part – Part One – is about 2600 words.
It deals largely with Putin's over two hour Address to the Federal Assembly and his SixYear Plan for Russia, which I have elsewhere called Russia's “New Deal ” and offers an interesting comparison with FDR's policies.
I've also referenced Putin's recent interview on Russian TV, which is an hour and 1/2 long. Not to mention both American and Soviet history.
The article is pretty complicated. Maybe too complicated for my atrophying brain. So naturally I had to render it in terms that I could understand – with pictures.
I just finished doing one proof-read. And, of course. uncovered a zillion typos and other evidence of senility which began when I was five years old and discovered that spelling was the work of the devil.
Part Two has been written – and rewritten a couple of times— so that should be available hopefully next week. That one deals with Biden and US policy. Many thanks for your support and your patience.
After a second rewrite – and checking links— which sometimes don't connect, kinda like my brain— I will email a zip file with both a Word document and a PDF.
If you have about me a coffee recently a new want to read this article, buy me a coffee here and I will add you to the list.
If you don't get an article, please please use Substack’s direct message system to let me know.
Thank you!
Just an fyi...while you were busy writing, Yemen successfully tested its hypersonic missile. They plan to manufacture in Yemen.
The recent threats were not just empty words.
