Recently there is much talk about the Russia-China "alliance". The Americans have been insisting that the Chinese are helping the Russians in their war in the Ukraine, and using this as an excuse to sanction various Chinese companies. I say an "excuse"-- because the Americans have jury-rigged a large-scale program of sanctions designed to inhibit Chinese development and ultimately weaken China as a global player. It wants to cripple Chinese industry.
It is not because China wants to replace the US as Hegemon.
The Chinese aren't interested in hegemony—just in doing business. Win-win stuff.
But for the US, “hegemony” means absolute control – while Russia and China are advocating a kind of international democracy— the kind of globalist thing that FDR envisioned before he died --and which Truman and Eisenhower and subsequent presidents subverted. “You are free to do what you like, as long as you do what are told”.
The US is at war not only with Ukraine – but also with China.
To that end, the US is promoting a stronger independence movement in Taiwan taking control and an attempt to secede from the mother country. It wants to "Ukrainize" Taiwan.
To do that, it would have to blockade China militarily – as well as economically. that would mean war— which is stupid— because the US could only lose.
The Chinese however have a lot of smart people – and they have "respect" if you like for the stupidity of the Americans — they do not underestimate the immense capacity to do the wrong thing at the wrong time for the wrong reasons! A problem for a country with nuclear weapons.
They also recognize that while there is some sympathy in the American political Right for the Russians-- there is almost none—Left or Right for the Chinese.
Tucker Carlson, for example, is pro-Russian but virulently anti-Chinese. He is rational as far as the Russians are concerned. but when talking of the China, a quasi-racist switch flips in his head.
The Russians and Chinese have no formal alliances militarily such as the Americans have with other countries—NATO being the prime example—which creates “partnerships” of nations, obeying just one —the US.
But, with the Americans insisting the Chinese and Russians have a de facto alliance—and with them acting to punish the Chinese, it makes sense for the Chinese to set up real and effective military cooperation with Russia – especially now that the Americans have turned the Philippines into another vassal state the Americans doing more and more stupid things
The US threatens China using its bases in Japan and the Philippines backed up by bases in Guam and Hawaii and of course Alaska.
But the US does not control the Asia-Pacific region— just a few countries there.
The Russians, for example, have been building up their naval resources in the Pacific and have even conducted exercises not only near Japan but near Hawaii.
American bases in Japan as well as in Alaska, Hawaii, and Guam are all vulnerable.
Take a look at the map. The North Pacific is a Russian Lake. All the bases in the main islands of Japan are vulnerable as are Guam and Hawaii from the north.
The Russian Navy can fire hypersonic Zircon missiles from almost all of his ships in the Far East as well as from submarines. These are hard -to -detect, 9-mach, 1000 km range, maneuvering cruise missiles with 300 kg warheads and at least double the destructive force in kinetic energy.
The Americans should be afraid of the Russians and Chinese teaming up. Why then do things that forced them to do that?
Stupid is as stupid does.
A Chinese-Russian NATO?
Will the Chinese and the Russians create an alliance like NATO with something like article 5?
Somehow I doubt it. Or if they do do it, it will have to be different. And to get the Russians involved in that case, the Americans would have to do something really stupid. But we know the really good at that
NATO was always an instrument of US hegemony. It was never an alliance between equals. It’s always a case of stupid following stupid.
Stupid is as stupid does.
Russia and China however are smart.
Military cooperation between the two would be on a more equal basis
Economically – well, Russia has resources and China has technology and a huge industrial base. the Russians would not just go along with something the Chinese wanted to do if they thought it was wrong, the Chinese wouldn’t follow the Russians if they disagreed .
That’s the kind of alliance we see forming now—an intelligent,
strategic alliance.
Speaking of “stupid”
When I write, I am like a not-too smart dog with a bone. I can't let it go. I just gnaw.
I see contradictions and problems and try to resolve them. That keeps me awake late. I even dream about this stuff. I'm sure many of you have experienced something like this. It is partly a result of “hyperfocus”. It has advantages if you use it right.
But obviously I’m not that smart. Stupid is as stupid does.
So sometimes I just get exhausted. Saturday I was sick with a fever, hardly able to walk, unable to eat until the evening today (Sunday).
Now I’m, better — back to good old-fashioned obsessive behavior! Back to stupid!

Oh, all part of the 51st state's plans, and with Zyklon Blinken and Final Solution Wailing Wall White House, China and Russia, beware.

I'm glad you mentioned Carlson's open mind to talking with Russia and promoting Chinaphobia. It is much like RFK Jr.'s coming to a more open mind on the war in Ukraine while giving blind allegiance to Israel. It is also like the border-wall-building fanatics who refuse to ponder the sanctions policies against Venezuela, Cuba, et. al., which bring the desperate to our border in the first place. We have educated people right into stupidity and all too many of them have the microphone.
