The Beginning of History

My Special Report is finished.

It is about twice as long as any previous “special article” since it provides answers to a lot of the questions I raised in my last two – as to the political and economic future of what I call “the American Collective” – the Disunited States of America.

You will notice that my writing style is designed for easy reading of complex ideas.

Hence, a lot of short sections--chunks--with headings and pictures (I am a visual thinker), but everything connected (hopefully).

The idea is that a lot of people need to be able to read a bit at a time, on a tablet or laptop or mobile device-- and then come back to it. Intellectual snacking.

However, given the length of this report, I may divide it arbitrarily into two or more discrete sections to make it more readable still. .

I begin with the End of History concept, which is often referred to by critics such as Michael Hudson, and which is important because it encapsulates the assumptions that are the basic to the shortsighted neoliberal /neoconservative narratives arguing for American “democracy” and hegemony.

Fukuyama is wrong. It is not the “end” of history. Liberal democracy has failed. And with it, American hegemon. That augurs a new beginning to history.

For us, the events which took place between 1500 and 1800 on the soil of Western Europe constitute the most important third of “world” history; for the Chinese historian, on the contrary, who looks back on and judges by 4000 years of Chinese history, those centuries generally are a brief and unimportant episode, infinitely less significant than the centuries of the Han dynasty (206 B.C. to 220 A.D.), which in his “world” history are epoch-making.

In in this article, I end up talking about the civilizational shift we see as the world moves from unipolarity to multipolarity, and how that fits historically— and the factors that mandate it.

There is really a LOT in this report….I learned a lot writing it! One thing was very clear to me was that….

The US is a torn country. Riven by greed.

Forget the politicians. The politicians are put there to give you the idea you have freedom of choice. You don't. You have no choice. You have owners. They own you. They own everything. They own all the important land, they own and control the corporations that've long since bought and paid for, the senate, the congress, the state houses, the city halls, they got the judges in their back pocket, and they own all the big media companies so they control just about all of the news and the information you get to hear. They got you by the balls. They spend billions of dollars every year lobbying to get what they want. Well, we know what they want.

They want more for themselves and less for everybody else. But I'll tell you what they don't want. They don't want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking. They don't want well informed, well educated people capable of critical thinking. They're not interested in that. That doesn't help them.

The irony is that there have always been alternatives to its present self-destructive course. There still are. Back in 2008, there was Dennis Kucinich. Today, Jill Stein.

But the House of State must be demolished before it can be rebuilt.
