The Disinformation War
I have written a few articles recently on Iran. You may think I have been not providing enough sources for my analysis of events, which are contrary to media narratives.
To be frank, however, the American /Zionist disinformation campaign is so huge and extensive, it is hard to know what’s what. “Sources” often turn out to be skewed in some way or another. Sources of propaganda rather than truth.
A good example are the huge discrepancies in the numbers of casualties and accounts of who killed who, with Western sources saying the “regime”, a word they use for “those evil bastards in charge”, have been murdering protestors — killing innocent women and children. Iranian sources attributing the violence to Israeli and American backed terrorist teams.
You find my last article, which featured an interview between Christiane Amanpour and Professor Marandi instructive. I find the Western take on things, as expressed by Amanpour, among others, counterfactual.Professor Marandi’s analyses on the other hand are logical, and backed up by evidence.
For the time being, a strike on Iran is off, if only because the Israelis don’t want it now.
They had been hoping they could destabilize Iran from within with their Starlink organized campaign— but saw their efforts come to nothing when the Iranians shut Starlink access down while destroying local MOSSAD networks— once again, building on their success in counter-terrorism in the 12 Day War.
Local support for the Iranian “regime” actually soared and there was talk of “pre-emptive strikes” . The Israelis had depleted much of their stock of AD missiles during the 12 day war and still haven’t replenished it to previous levels—not that that would make much difference since Iran now has a lot more new and more capable hypersonic missiles and advanced technology drones. Israel could not go mano a mano with Iran and hope to survive without full-scale support from the US.
You may have seen my disagreement with Ismaele about the possibility of a “pre-emptive” strike by Iran on US bases.
I agree with the much respected Ismaele that there is no concept of “pre-emptive strike” in Islam as it is understood in the West.
There is, however, jihad al-talab which allows what Westerns would call “offensive warfare” under certain conditions, specially where there is clear threat or to prevent further violence. From an Islamic point of view, this is actually defensive. Of course, there is much debate among Islamic scholars about what all this actually means in practice.
Complicating issues is that Iran is still technically at war with both Israel and the US. There was no peace agreement at the end of the 12 day war and US and Israeli efforts to provoke violence inside Iran recently are clearly acts of war.
However, Ismaele has kindly sent me this article:
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baghaei stated that recent US claims suggesting Iran is preparing to strike American targets in the region are aimed at provoking tension and instability.
Speaking on Saturday, Baghaei emphasized that Iran will respond firmly to any aggression that targets its national security. He described the US statements as part of a broader strategy to sow unrest across the region.
“The United States’ statements and claims that Iran is preparing options to strike American targets in the region are part of its ongoing policy of stirring up tension and unrest,” Baghaei said.
For an even more comprehensive treatment, I recommend the Gray Zone’s recent article.
Here is the last paragraph….
Locked and loaded’
Iran’s latest round of anti-government protests has predictably received hearty endorsements from a host of Western leaders, including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump.
“If Iran shots [sic] and violently kills peaceful protesters, which is their custom, the United States of America will come to their rescue,” Trump announced. “We are locked and loaded and ready to go.”
Days later, Trump threatened Iran again: “You better not start shooting [protesters] – because we’ll start shooting too.” Then, on Jan. 12, Trump decreed that any country caught trading with Iran would face a 25% tariff on goods exchanged with the US.
Now, Trump is reportedly mulling an attack, considering options ranging from cyber-warfare to airstrikes. However, the pace of the anti-government protests appears to have slowed, with relative calm returning to major cities.
As the dust clears, millions of Iranian citizens are pouring into the streets of cities from Tehran to Mashhad to express their indignation at the riots, to denounce the foreign elements that helped spur the regime change rampage, and to proclaim their support for the government. But in newsrooms across the West, giving voice to these masses of Iranian demonstrators seems forbidden.
It’s a great article.
How reliable is the Grayzone? Very!
The Grayzone is an American news website and blog described as fringe and far-left by numerous sources.
It then goes on to accuse the site of all sorts of sins, and cites the debunked Washington Post smear of Grayzone editors being in the pay of the Ayatollahs. This is a good reason to treat Wikipedia articles on geopolitics the same way that you treat responses from LLMs—with a pound or two of salt.
Of course, the GrayZone responded:
I mention these things to validate the Grayzone’’s reporting. It’s a must-read site.
As I have said, I do not think the Israelis are ready for a real war. For that matter, neither are the Americans, who have always shied away from peer-level wars. If they really have to do fight they choose a sneak attack on a weak enemy in the dead of night, or use proxies.
War is not what it used to be.
But the main weapon in their drive to conquer and dominate is information — or, rather, misinformation. The US is the Empire of Lies.
Autism
As you know, I am autistic. Technically, a “2e” Autist.
Simply put. I think divergently , umm… from the bottom up, left and right in all directions, working logically through patterns. There are advantages—but also huge disadvantages. Fortunately, some of my supporters are autistic or have family member who are and they are a constant source of support and encouragement. Many thanks to all of you .
Yes, I am still working on the Special Article. Hopefully, I will finish soon.
I get by with a little help from my friends.

I don't suffer from any type of autism to my knowledge. But I do suffer from bipolar disorder. Which means when people label schizophrenic actions by leaders. Jumping from position to another contradicting themselves as being bipolar. Pisses me off a little I must admit. Supposed educated people do it all of the time. Bipolar is a condition where the sufferer, may be on the euphoric mood position for 3 or 4 months. Then swing to a low or depressive mood for months. Luckily I'm pretty much under control, not through medication. But eating the right diet & not drinking alcohol has stabilised me massively. I did tend to be mainly on the euphoric & bit manic side most of the time. Never did I get to a suicidal low level. Just reclusive & a loner. They were my most severe low traits. But it caused me all kinds of trouble in my younger days. You cope really well with your autism it must be said & your writings are greatly appreciated.
The Anglo-American Militarist Empire is doomed!
Their psychological warfare against Venezuela and Iran has flopped. Trumps' Gaza Peace Board is dead on arrival. Trump has nothing to show for his MAGA cult followers but a fascist
police state.
NOW is the time for a Renaissance of humanity. The BRICs alternative led by Chinas' Xi Jinping and Putin, without letting its guard down, can march forward with the idea of Progess, a John Kennedy - Martin Luther King New Deal for America. The Peace Corps.
