If you thought the US was a republic think again. It is, for the time being anyway, a monarchy – a mad kingdom, with a mad, shameless King named Donald.
King Donald can do as he likes. He can advocate for genocide, as he is done in Israel, encouraging the Zio Nazis to continue their Palestinian Holocaust, which is arguably bloodier and more brutal than that of that squeamish fellow Adolf who just used gas.
He can wipe out civilians attending a tribal meeting, including probably children – and boast about it.
He continues a proxy war in Ukraine, which he could end literally in 24 hours— if he had a mind to it.
But then Trump has no mind. Not that Biden had one either – his mind just deteriorated. Trump's mind is off-line by choice.
On the other hand, while King Donald can be blamed for many things-- he did not seize power – he was given power. Who gave him power? The American people.
In the end, it is the ordinary American who is to blame – not that they notice or are aware. They are unfailingly optimistic. One of the weaknesses of congenital optimism is that your house can burn down all around you and you just think about roasting marshmallows.
Yes, Biden was a halfwit and demented. Trump is witless and mad. But they are manifestations of public incompetence if not political incontinence .
The body politic is the people. And this body has cancer. Stage 4.
Its electoral democracy needs radical surgery .But is there hope?
There are all kinds of democratic systems – the US just happens to have one of the worst.
Right now, Trump is waging an economic war— against the whole world, some say.
But his real target is is China – which has surpassed the US in almost all areas and has a total population bigger than the entire G-7.
Trump first applied tariffs to every other country on earth – with the highest on the poorest countries . Just to show he could. Waving his economic dick around. Like his dick, it is not impressive.
That resulted in a major downturn in the stock market . Some people, notably Elon Musk, weren’t happy. Then he reduced the tariffs. Except for China of course,
Trump also announced a 90-day pause on many of his new reciprocal tariffs, but hiked them on Chinese imports to 125% from 104% on Wednesday. Beijing had slapped 84% tariffs on U.S. imports to match Trump's earlier levy. Reuters.
Cui bono. That’s Latin for somebody got screwed.
As you can see, there was a bounce in the stock market, so the billionaire class— “friends with benefits” , many of whom and sold short in anticipation of the downturn, made money. The rich get richer and the poor get screwed.
Here is the problem .
The US has no other sources for a lot of the things that China sells to it – for example, the materials that its electronics and defense industries depend on. But also pharmaceuticals and other essentials.
China, with its huge population, and its ties to ASEAN and the global South can diversify its global supply chains. Yes it's GDP will take a hit. But it will be temporary. maybe two years in a country that thinks in 5 year plans.
And government controlled and subsidized industry provides it with enormous adaptability. Private PLUS public is a winner.
The US is monopoly capitalism all the way. Yet it cannot re-industrialize without governmental support for the development of social , educational, technological infrastructure which it needs but does not have -- which depends on more progressive tax rates, as was the case under FDR .
Trump doesn’t believe in taxes.
That means re-industrialization probably never.
No matter. The Donald believes in “beggar thy neighbour”. Or is it “bugger thy neighbour”.
Also doubling down on stupid.
So right now Trump is privatizing everything, gutting the government's ability to provide the kind of support that the Russian and Chinese governments provide in their societies and makes them so successful. At the same time, he is trying to extort his trading partners and allies.
This is not an ideological issue – despite what you may think – it is simply an exploitative mindset.
However, if you're a guy who got half $1 billion from his dad to start businesses, which he managed to bankrupt one after another-- and still survive – you know no better.
Still, behind Trump and his wrecking ball is the force of history.
Empire in terminal decline throughout human history has suffered from dangerous desperation. In the 21st century, the US represents a modern-day empire in terminal decline – one armed with nuclear weapons, a global-spanning military, and in control of global economic tools capable of destroying the entire global system rather than concede its role placed above it. The goal would be to survive the controlled demolition of the global order it has presided over for decades and emerge the strongest player, best positioned for establishing itself once again as “the world’s dominant superpower.”
This is something I have written about in various “special articles” in detail. It is nothing new. History is full of examples.
Trumpty Dumpty will likely have a great fall from that wall, and with him his kingdom.

Horribly beautiful illustration, Julian. The a average American has a fatal overconfidence. It's because they're propagandized and mediocre (synonymous with average). However, they're confused and it's by design.
You say the body politc has Stage 4 Cancer and I agree. To save our nation we must excise the cancer. The cancer is
AIPAC🇺🇸🇮🇱. It's killing our nation on behalf of the zionists🇮🇱. The neocons 🇺🇸🇮🇱 and zionists🇮🇱 of AIPAC🇺🇸🇮🇱 have turned our nation into the world's foremost terrorist state🇮🇱. 🇮🇱 This is our true flag along with the nazi swastika.
If it keeps going this way, we will end like that other nation destroyed during the 1940's. We'll deserve it just like them.
I fanticised about a revolution where the awakened people overthrow the monarchy. The Plutarchs are executed and the Oligarchs have to give up 1/3 of their wealth as pay raised for their workers.😂
Concise and witty (“bugger thy neighbor”). I’m thinking at the rate he’s imploding, the midterms will turn against him and he’ll be a “lame f—-“ president.
