Given the above, I think Israel's only action is a nuclear attack on Iran when Netanyahu gets tired of waiting for Trump to follow his orders and/ or a false flag attack on the US fleet, blamed on Iran to goad US into stupid actions. The US can't keep a fleet assembled indefinitely.
Israel requires the destruction of Iran. Not so-called "regime change"; just destruction and chaos. When Americans die, Americans will fall in line and support war.
The only lesson of history is that people don't learn from history.

I find it helpful to try to imagine the politics of not attacking. What would it take for Israel to choose to deescalate? I don't mean in the sense of a temporary ceasefire kinda thing to get ready for the next round. I mean really deescalate as a long term trend towards peaceful relations with neighbors and equitable relations with ethnic others. Is Israel able to choose this for itself?

Quick comment before devouring the rest of your excellent analysis. Last year, probably at Strategic Culture or Global Research, I read that Iran produces a vast amount of nuclear medicines.
I don't recall if 80% was for export or for Iranian cancer treatment. China and India though are manufacturing 80 to 90% of Western medications. I still have to Google/Yandex, so do not take those numbers at face value.
So my geopolitical view is simple: Do not poke the Bear or Dragon. Or the Elephant. The medications and manufacturing issue ought to be front and center in the MSM. How interconnected we are, and how much humanity stands to lose in the upcoming disaster. Thanks, Julian.

Full-scale war does not fit Trump’s pattern - Venezuela was military showtime to distract attention from the Maduro kidnapping. All the other actions have been against tiny targets - and even the previous 12 day war was prearranged.
