We had the embarrassing spectacle of Trump and his tattooed boytoy, Hegseth, address the military chiefs and haranguing them.

The military was not amused. Nor were the cities. But at least Trump and Hegseth did not address the pressing issues of toe fungus and oral hygiene.

Then Trump threatened the Russians again, specifically Dmitry Medvedev, saying he had sent two submarines to someplace off Russia. Medvedev pointed out that the submarines hadn’t arrived as promised . That is, the US just can’t deliver. Although it did have some Poseidon anti-sub aircraft off the Baltics.

Trump also ordered a buildup of US aircraft in the Middle East. Iran appreciated the warning and is preparing for war, as is Hezbollah. This time, Tel Aviv may burn.

At the same time, the US has presented Hamas with a “peace plan” which requires Hamas to release all hostages, disarm, and hand over control of the enclave to an international security force overseen by, yup, qualified genocidal war criminal Tony Blair.
The plan promises full Israeli withdrawal from Gaza – some day. Maybe after the Americans turn into one huge golf course-casino-brothel.
Trump gave Hamas a couple of days to respond “or pay in hell”. And, no, there is NO room for negotiations. Not that “negotiations” ever mattered to the US.
Of course, the plan is really to drive the Palestinians into the Sinai, attack them there to drive them to Egypt, which would destabilize the Egyptian government.
However, Hamas will fight on.

Arab states—- Qatar, Turkey, and reluctantly Egypt support the plan — knowing of course it’s going nowhere. The Saudis are dating the Pakistanis.
