Not the Media

You can't trust the mainstream media. right?

A lot of analysts spend large amounts of time and energy attempting to parse articles in the Washington Post, New York Times, the Economist. FT, and other fellow travelers, only to discover that celebrated journalists are less reliable sources of information than your local taxi driver.

That's okay maybe when events are actually in the news. I mean, you can always just take a taxi and get the real story.

But the media sometimes compose a blackout on events—those they just don't want the public to think about—and which they can’t explain away. They pretend they didn’t happen.

So even the taxi guy doesn’t know.

I can’t afford taxis. I bike. So, I am out of the normal loop anyway.

Scott? Wot?

The recent incident with Scott Ritter is a good example—not of media disinformation. But a media blackout. The Biden laptop scandal was another.

To get at the reality of things you need alternative sources.

Some I'm sure you already know some – like Larry Johnson and the Duran, Brian Berletic, the Gray Zone and others. These people are famous have pretty good revenue streams which they use to support their activities.

On the other hand, there alternative sources almost as good, operating on a shoestring. One of the very best is Moon of Alabama whose operation is now suspended due to B's medical problems. Wish him well!

Another is Aleks at Black Mountain Analysis who tries to make ends meet by working at two universities. His wife has just had another baby. He is one of the most intelligent analysts out there. Better in my opinion, than some of the more famous "military" and geopolitical analysts. Subscribe if you can.

The blogosphere is not alive with the sound of music but with truths, large and small.

In the case of News Forensics, check out Occupy Schagen, who also posts regularly on X. Sander does not write much himself. But he researches and searches for the truth.

What am I trying to say? I dunno sometimes….

Most people are taught to look for the One Wise Person who can “teach” the truth. Teachers teach facts. For me, however, truths are experienced and felt.

I guess, for each person, it is different. That is why a community of hearts and minds is so important. To learn, we must trust the good will of others— where it is manifest. Truth is not in the Matrix — it is the Matrix when you transcend the programming.

Who do I trust? You.
