Could you not find a photo of a rabid dog foaming at the mouth to represent the USA today? The dog lolling, innocently on a couch does not begin to cut it.

Have you ever seen a rabid dog...........I have and it's NOT funny. I have also seen people with rabies.

Expand full comment

I've seen dogs but not people.

Yeah. Well where have you been?

STOP with your ignorant comments. US people know NOTHING.

A dog dying of rabies is...........horrible.

I think you're unreasonable here regarding me. I was basically agreeing with you and telling you of my experience. I'm insulted.

Where was this experience? and why are you advocating for a dying rabid dog instead of this beautiful picture?

I am not sure what you mean. Which picture are you referring to?

Photoshop Lindsay Graham or little Marco Rubio on the rabid dog's face.

I agree--wait and see while expecting to be disappointed is probably the wisest course.

"Trump's other proposed appointments so far have not been encouraging. He is not draining the swamp, just enticing its right wing creatures out of the goop to hunt on land." is a very good line.

So is "What does MAGA mean ? It’s a “Back to the Future” thing. Which was a comedy."

I taught my kids that simply being successful in our institutions (government, business, or medical--which I know the most about) has about a .9 correlation with profound moral corruption and betrayal of our responsibility to serve and love other people. They think I am hopelessly cynical. Maybe I am but the evidence just seems to confirm that as time goes on.

Statistics favor your opinion. Genetic psychopaths are about 2%. But in the case of successful people in institutions, some studies suggest as much as a 30% rate for "successful psychopaths" -- people with acquired psychopathic traits. I touch on that in my recent special articles for coffee buyers.

A false flag operation pinned on Iran before the inauguration would ensure that Trump follows course. Stay vigilant

I am sure that the Iranians expect that. As does the rest of the world.

The blob/deep state, I prefer blob because it reminds of the 1950s movie by the same title, rules all. The US "government" is a crime syndicate.

Blob is icky. Deep is dark and dirty. I wrote an article back when about the US as a Mafia state. Same system really. Organized crime? FDR call it "organized money" (as I explain in Special Articles).

Exactly! They are icky🤮 And the blob swallowed up everyone and everything in its path like the MIC does.

So far the only pick that appears to have any qualifications for the position is Trump's selection for CIA Director.

I have no idea how his selection for Secretary of Defense would get past a Senate confirmation hearing.

A talk-show host!?!? Seriously!?!?

💯❗Oh, my God... So many people I adore , suddenly (?) they turned out to be ...dreamers?! Gentlemen, comrades, Brian Berletik (also Dmitry Orlov) is the most sensible realist from this galaxy of old retired "marines, intelligence officers, diplomats..."! I am already looking forward to how experts will soon (!) begin to "be disappointed" in their forecasts, aspirations and hopes It is not necessary at all to pay attention to the figure of Trump, his entourage, and, moreover, to follow the "sine wave" of their "views".It is necessary to prepare for the worst - case scenario .

Understanding Trump.....

Julian- in one word - LEVERAGE! That's how you understand DaTrumpster - https://substack.com/home/post/p-150742260 - this author defines his psyche - it's drawn from Trump’s personal history - I found it very insightful!

It fully explains why Trump has no interest in promoting the interests of his those who he's already captured as his supporters - always looking for new grounds to conquer!

I do not think Trump is a political "genius" as this person says. Quite the opposite. He isn't even a particularly good businessman. He stumbles on his narcissism and conceit. On the other hand, he does understand "leverage". In this respect I agree with the writer (Warren). Warren implies (but does not actually say) that Trump developed a strategy to exploit festering resentments and ambitions that the Republicans and Democrats were ignoring. Yes, there WAS a undeveloped market there. But this was not a logical or reasoned strategy, just the kneejerk reflect of a businessman born with enough money to take advantage of opportunities. "Leverage" ; also, "opportunism".

Thanks for the link . Good reading.

Agree - politics is showbiz!

Even Larry doesn’t believe it. Just listen to him on Davis podcast.

What he has is wishful hope. It’s a little above wishful thinking but way below actual hope.

But yeah. I’ve been saying let’s see since before the election so let’s see. We know how he wants to deal with Russia and China. The deciding moment for me is how he deals with Netanyahu.

We’ll see.

Yean, I listened to the Davis podcast before I wrote the article. I think "wishful hope" is exactly right.

I told Larry that Trump is a Zionist owned by AIPAC🇺🇸🇮🇱. Like Larry, I'm cautiously waiting and hoping Trump had a change of heart. Trump believes he was protected by Providence from the assassin's bullets. Perhaps he considered it a warning.
