The Duran and Judge Neapolitano are on my daily watch list. And I regularly skip one or the other video on both channels.

But never one with Alistair Crooke. A humble man with such a great and deep knowledge and understanding.

Very much agree with you.

Thanks for this Julian. I had already seen it but am still confused.

Why don't people use Maps any more? Certainly it would be helpful.

Absolutely. Maps are the keys to understanding geopolitics. People who fail to notice that, invariably talk out of their hats.

We had to do map reading in Geography. Loved it. Makes sense of the world.

That's a good one, Julian. If only America followed the pharoahic philosophy.

I also watched it yesterday. Here MY comment:

"Very interesting conversation with Alastair Crooke: Why is the West unable to perceive the facts on the battlefields, the technical-military issues or the political goals of its enemies at all?

The answer is:

They are trapped in a narrative of Western superiority, which they see not just as a narrative, but as the BASIS OF THEIR DECISION-MAKING, as a teleological way of fulfilling history, and in the delusion of being supported by the telos of history.

It reminds me of the ideology of “historical materialism” of the socialist states, which were also convinced that “history was on their side”. But history is on no one's side.

So the narratives of the West are not just a (false) perception. They are a dogma. Thus, criticizing the perception becomes a life-threatening danger, and the critics of this perception become “Putin apologists”.

The only wars that can be won with this attitude are IMAGINARY WARS. Real wars cannot be won this way. This is the real danger we live under.

Thanks again Julian...

.

I do follow the Duran daily...

As i do Alexander. (I skip his reporting the Ukraine frontline situations, i have problems with words and names, i need maps. So in stead i follow Military Summary channel.)

.

I have one thing to add, from a recent Alexander video:

Assad dislikes Erdogan. He went to all Arab nations to come to terms again and start a new let us say 'Friendship'. But not with Erdogan.

Pushed by Putin he was forced to cooperate in Astana with Iran and Türkiye, to solve:

The safe border/Bufferzone wish of Erdogan, the main issue being the border with the Kurds in the North-East, which could result in:

A Federation-like joining of the Kurds in Syria and pushing out the US from the Syrian Oil area and getting access to the Kurdish food production again and:

blocking the US from the Iraqi Border (Türkiye + Iraq can block the Northern Route:)

North-East Syria->https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Gd22s7BWcAAD4C3?format=jpg

No Turkish troops help the Jihadists, but they are allowed to do the incursion.

This is one of those terrible habits by Erdogan. He wants a deal with Assad, that :

1. Prevent more fugitives from Syria.

2. Makes it possible to send most Fugitives back to Syria (or Idlib or another "Buffer zone").

.

But Assad refused any deals up until now.

I think he has to change this Policy now...

Just saying.
