I think I understand now. Sorry my stupidity!

Those leading the Garden appear a painful slow study on what has happened in previous world wars in their countries as they gaze upon their past glories of riches.

Thanks Julian for pointing this out.

It is not just Biden who is forgetful. Heidegger called it the Second Fall of Man.

Why did you link to a site that has little or no value to the situation on the ground today. Why would Russia consider use of battlefield nukes when it is clearly winning by conventional means. NATO was always the side that stated "first-use" of nukes if we couldn't stop warsaw pact with conventional forces that were many times more powerful than today.

Good points. The fact is that Russia wouldn’t use tactical nukes because it can achieve the same military objectives with conventional weapons without poisoning the environment. It is a threat only. Sort of like “MAD”. But also an expression of Russian Game Theory which no one in the West seems to have read!

Putin is a martial artist (Judo, Combat Sambo). In the martial arts, we are taught to use minimal force unless forced to go beyond. That is useful in a street fight. You can throw someone without causing actionable injury or breaking any laws. Faced threat of death, you may want to go beyond, with strikes to the throat or eyes, or breaking a knee . But normally you don’t need to. Best tactic is walk away if you can.

I was quite surprised when I heard on Alexander's program of this Politico article. I haven't seen much chain reaction in America from its blunt assessment of the Biden debacle that is Ukraine. Hopefully the ripple will become a tsunami for some sense, though I fear not.

Nobody in the European main stream media dares to bring up the dangers of a 'limited' nuclear war on European soil. Nobody.

Joseph Borrell once said; “Europe is a garden. Most of the rest of the world is a jungle, and the jungle could invade the garden”.

I am not sure what it is, but there this weird unwillingness to report any bad news that pops that garden bubble.

Why do you answer "No thank you?" What did I said wrong?

If it weren't for Mutually Assured Destruction(MAD), I would have died in October 1962. Or maybe in November, after a few weeks of radiation sickness.

Vladimir Putin has never forgotten MAD; he openly relies upon it. The fact that the US Empire leadership and its sychophantic chattering classes pretend it no longer applies to them just proves they are unfit to lead us, much less to rule us.

Putin is a realist. Growing up as he did, he would have to be. One cannot say the same of the Patricians in the Empire.

It is not lost one me, of a minor education, that a quite specific community is convinced of Russia’s imperialist intent: the old Colonials, just as the “Christian” nations are convinced Islam intends to convert us all to Sharia. Both paranoias may be true, are the basis of our world order at present, the evidence is clear: it is what we did snd how we view the world, have viewed it for 500 years. Of course… were Mexico Ukraine, armed and funded by BRICs, we’d have nuked her entirely yesterday. See Iraq, on any level the equivalent of Ukraine, with less cause.

Education is forgetting what you learned in school after the 3rd grade. And opening your eyes. I am Canadian. People think Canadians are nice liberal people. But, other than the French and the Indians, Canada was mostly populated by refugees from the US, after 1776 --and then later. We got a lot of people during the Vietnam war, Americans with principles--a lot of them working in education and the professions. Just not enough to balance people like Justin Trudeau / Sinclair (his mother's family).
