Sticks and Stones....

The “press” is— and always has been— a propaganda organ.

Which is why, if you read the mainstream media today, you know who and what Vladimir Putin is as surely as people during WWII knew who and what Hitler and Tojo were -- Evil. Devils Incarnate. Worse than Trump. Also: people with no style, who did not brush their teeth..

The media use emotionally-charged images— of course— rather than facts, reason, logic, or common sense. Homo Not-So-Sapient.

This kind of thing has a history as long as newspapers themselves.

Mad Dogs And….

Media images are intended to evoke an emotional response and must be reinforced with epithets that somehow connect to fear, disgust or prejudice to define that response. The Kaiser was (therefore) “the Mad Dog of Europe” and (later) the “Beast of Berlin”.

“The baby-eating Hun” was Queen Victoria’s grandson but no one mentioned that because everyone adored Vicky who preferred leg of lamb.

In the background was the idea the Germans were animals that must be put down.

That’s how war time propaganda works – its goal is dehumanization of the enemy to enable one’s own inhuman acts.

Nowadays, Putin is the New Satan—but without the grace of a red cape or trendy red yoga pants, he has to be characterized differently—mostly as a “thug”. His is a different story from the Kaiser’s in WWI, or that of that unfortunate Austrian painter in WWII, or of Bad Uncle Joe in 1945— in the same way that every Marvel villain is different.

But the studio creating the story is the same and so is its intent. WWIII may be undeclared but Vlad’ is as much a beast as any villain in the Marvel Universe — or DC — or the comic book world of the US State Department.

What’s in a name?

The most popular epithet for people the US doesn’t like is “thug”. Not so oddly this word has racist origins.

President Obama called Putin a “thug,” as did presidential hopeful Marco Rubio, who added “gangster” for good measure. Republican House Speaker Paul Ryan's spokesperson found fault with Putin and his whole nation, even adding an adjective: "Russia is a global menace led by a DEVIOUS thug." One rarely hears ruffian, hooligan, vandal, hoodlum or villain, but watch out for thug”.

Of course, this Reuters article was written in 2016 by Peter Van Buren, who writes now mostly for the American Conservative, which oddly enough is rather progressive.

In 2022, an article like this would be considered almost treason--but Van Buren, who has been right over the years about most things, Russiagate and Hillary for example, is just ignored. Reuters doesn’t love smartasses and hasn’t published him since 2018. He’s an embarrassment. He keeps on saying things that are (eventually) proven true. Most writers just blow their editors. No knee pads for Van Buren, who whistleblows the media.

Creepy Joe Biden says Putin is a “murderous dictator”, a “pure thug”, and a “killer”. Senator McConnell calls him a “ruthless thug”. The entire Internet chants, “Thug, thug, thug”. Kinda like a beer contest. “Chug, chug, chug”. And a lot better than calling him a “niggar”.

“What’s in a name?” Sorry Romeo, names don’t break bones but they do matter. That’s why you died.

Names are categories. The word “thug” is defined as a “lawless, violent person. BUT:

….today it has become a indirect synonym for the N-word, and, almost certainly when used, is a reference to a black person. However, there are different implied meanings and connotations when the term is used by a black person versus a white person. When a black person uses it, including a black politician, there is a tinge of affection and a display of resilience in the face of racism, but when white people use it, it is indeed racist.

It is often most often used in the case of low-class (black) criminals, lurking in an ally waiting to steal your wallet and rape your dog, compounding their sins with a lack of hygiene and dirty nails and bad tattoos. They don’t read. OK, OK, neither do YOU! But THEY didn’t go to college. They are not that smart. Just nasty. And very un-woke. “Animal”.

Class-ism rhymes with Ass-ism.

Putin is not black but he is half-Jewish and his origins are proletarian. Unlike most of the American political class, he grew up in poverty. His family not only didn’t have a second car. They didn’t have any car.

What Putin has in common with a lot of Black people is the Mean Streets.

But “lawless”? Media Captcha, coming up. Identify the one that is Putin. Sorry, click again a few thousand times.

Putin is a lawyer and is known for his defense of the rule of law, both at home and internationally. Right, lawyer! Psychopath!

VPP has won huge support in Russia on the basis of the Russian public’s perception of him as honest and principled. The Russian public are not pushovers or easily brainwashed—generally considering all politicians corrupt --like Yeltsin. But somehow they respect Putin and like him.

Maybe because he likes puppies,

According to the NYT, he ate the puppy afterwards (just kiddin’).

The “official” position in the intellectually totalitarian West is naturally sophisticated and calls on “science” for support.

Are psychologists psychopaths?

Political psychologist Dr Arthur Cassidy calls Putin a “psychopath” and “narcissist” saying:

“Putin demonstrates a clack of conscience. There is no sense of right and wrong. There is absolutely no remorse in his behavior, it is about power and control - what is mine is mine and what is yours is mine also. Psychopaths have this overly possessive trait of power and - the psychology of evil - because the more blood they shed the more psychological and emotional payoffs they get. They thrive on murder, killings and genocide. And this reinforces the behavior to do more.”

Dr. Cassidy hasn’t met Putin and provides no evidence. Let us keep in mind that many psychologists are in fact “successful” psychopaths and narcissists. How do you deal with a dozen distressed people every day without feeling their pain. Psychopaths just don’t care.

But Putin does feel for others.

Mickey Rourke:

"He took us to a very famous museum in St. Petersburg," Rourke said of meeting Putin. "And then later he took me to a children's cancer hospital. And we went in there and visited the really, really sick, little, tiny, tiny kids.

"I looked over at him and I saw him and, nobody's going to want to hear this, but I saw a man with empathy and who was really moved by what these children are going through."

Let us keep in mind that Putin was not playing to the cameras. This was an unrecorded visit that Rourke only talked about long after. And Rourke is not the only one to testify to Putin’s humanity. There are many others.

Mikhail Zygar, a former editor in chief of the independent Russian TV station Rain, has said the Putin was visibly upset by the death of Ghaddafi, if not “apoplectic”. And equally disturbed by Clinton’s cackling comment, shown on Russian TV with a video of the killing: “We came, we saw, he died.”

It would seem that Putin loses out in the psychopathy and narcissism rankings to Hillary Clinton. She doesn’t care. She is a manipulative psychopath. Ask the unfortunate White House cat Socks, who was turfed to make room for a dog — but used to publish a best-selling kids’ books.

But the “West” lives in its own world.

Blue Pill or Red Pill?

It has taken the Blue Pill. Russia and China are the Red Pill.

The Independent says:

Whatever the outcome, his legacy has already been indelibly entered into the history books in blood. He will be remembered forever as a murderer, a monster and a maniac who burnt an entire country to the ground for his own vanity.

If you read the byline, the article is written by a Professor at Kyiv University, hardly an unbiased source. Presumably a Professor of Monsterology.

In another universe, this “monster” and “maniac” tried to end the Ukrainian Civil War between East and West through negotiations—the Minsk accords – which the West and Ukraine would not honor and only acted when it was clear the Kiev was about to mount a massive offensive against what remained of Eastern Ukraine, having already killed somewhere between 10,000 and 14,000 civilians.

His actions were carried out care for legality, namely the right to self-determination of Eastern Ukraine and only when they had declared independence.

But I must be wrong: “Fact Checkers” – who dispense blue pills—will you tell you what Kiev, the CIA, MI6, and Newsweek want you to hear, what in fact you want to hear, happy, happy pig in shit waiting to become bacon.

Calling Putin a “thug” and all the other names, makes it very, very easy for people in the West to get know that Putin’s mind is just a dark hole. Like an asshole. Who likes colonoscopies?

Countless TV series and movies have taught us that Good always faces off against Evil Men (yes, it’s OK to use the Male gender in this case) whose only pleasure in life, —whose only goal — is hurting, torturing and destroying. Did I forget rape?

We love vampires and zombies, Dexter and Hannibal, although the last two have redeeming features that Vlad’ does not.

Day in and day out, we see Evil on TV – so we understand that whatever Putin says or does – it must be opposed, even if it looks reasonable. The red pill he offers is poison.

We must remember that the Devil is a Master of Deceit.

You stupid f*****

Think before you call some a name, you stupid f**** c****** a******. The moment you do this you and your world are *****.

When someone insults you, with a categorical epithet like “thug” or “psychopath” they deny your personhood, not in the same way as calling you a “nigger” or a “kike’ but with the same result. If you characterize Putin as a “thug” or “monster” or “psychopath; you are like the people in a town in the 20s who packed a lunch basket and took their kids to watch a black person being tortured and burnt alive. Today, we just turn on CNN over breakfast.

You deny another’s humanity at the expense of your own.

The Western Media is a lynch mob.
