The US “Representatives & Senators” do NOT represent the “deplorables.” They represent the donor class, including AIPAC. Between the Nazis in Ukraine & Zionists in the apartheid genocidal Zionist entity received ~$16 billion meanwhile American citizens who lost virtually everything in the recent hurricanes get $750 & IF they qualify get a “loan.” WTF?

There’s a position somewhere in the middle where the Empire of Lies 🇺🇸 uses the Zionist entity as a proxy as Dr Doctorow believes & the Zionists do as they please as Ambassador Chas Freeman & Larry Johnson believes because of the lobbyist influence. In reality the 🇺🇸 is breaking its own laws because of the savagery of these Zionists in the Gaza genocide.

Addendum… “There’s a position somewhere in the middle…” That somewhere in the middle is more closer to the apartheid genocidal Zionist freaks tail wagging the dog than the Empire of Lies 🇺🇸 controlling the Zionist entity. Look how much money AIPAC spends to defeat candidates they see as “anti-Israel.” Their tentacles are all over the Washington DC government. The forever foreign wars and West Asia policy is all for the benefit of the apartheid Zionist entity.

Israel is American Proxy War perfected, but also rampant and increasingly uncontrollable. Israel has no "right to exist" or "right to self-defense", it never had. With the assistance of the United States and Britain, it has parlayed World sympathy for the Holocaust into permanent victim hood and been permitted carte blanche to murder, rape, disposses, steal, annex, lie and accuse. The "Media" are either fully captured or cowed into submission by this "Axis of Evil" (America, Britain and Israel). Our only hope and salvation is that it will consume itself eventually.

Nah, the debate, as you call it, the civilized debate, the controlled eyes and tone and facial expressions, nah, we've had that for more than 70 years in this shit-hole, and largely produced by neurotic but supremacist Jewish Councils, the cabal of those in the driver's seat -- Lary Fink, he's all controlled and even handed . . . Yeah, what a fucking winner.

And, sure, Goyim is Gullible and Goofy and Full of Impassioned Nonsense. You know, 80 percent of Americans think there is some protector looking over them, as in angel.

In any case, you miss the point completely -- Tony Zyklon Blinken is as measured and supposedly calm-faced as any Hitler. Kissinger. The lot of them, from fucking freak Zuckerbert to Larry Fucking Cloud Atlas God Oracle Ellison.

Debate involves going outside the lines, tackling sacred cows, and revising the stupidity of America the Great, and all that fucking chopping down the cherry tree simplistic and childish shit, which has been enhanced by Holly-Dirt and the Bar and Bat Mitzvah Crew chewing into the barely smart brains of Goyim and future generations as they live in McDonald's Land and Walmartization Mindset and Romper Room fucking thinking processes.

Edward Bernays and Freud and Roy Cohen and alll those fucking Wailing Wall White House principles and little boys and girls in the striped pajamas really have done a number on fucking Glued-to-the-Screens Goyim.

What a wasteland, and more to come with the Century of the Jew just starting. 76 more years of the Jews' jumping with supremacy joy.

Very difficult to disagree with you and the idea that we live in the golden age of the Jew. The Doctorow argument strikes me as clearly specious, even a kind of suave pilpul.

Thanks for the bravery and insolence — looking into your substack.

Proxy war means only one thing.

The country that starts the war doesn't fight they leave that to all the people who have been duped.

Scott Ritter has the same attitude toward debate. He considers it paramount to the health of democracy.

I also couldn't agree more that the question of who manipulates whom is grossly oversimplified. Anyone who is even aware of, for instance, general semantics, would smile at the notion of analysing the "thought", "plans", or "intentions" of such abstract entities as nation states. Even governments, although they do have fixed ways of acting and speaking formally, consist of communities whose members are forever jostling for position and changing their stated policies.

David Stirling's book "Churchill's War", which I have just been reading, is a brilliant example. In 1938-1940 Churchill, almost alone, succeeded in hijacking HMG almost like a fungus taking over an ant's brain. Most MPs, civil servants, senior officers in the forces, and even government ministers disagreed with much of what he said and did. But as they believed the public was overwhelmingly behind Churchill, they didn't dare challenge him even when he was obviously, glaringly wrong.

Much the same seems likely to be true of today's US and NATO elites. If their citizen seem to support their policies, it is only because - like British people under Churchill - they are utterly misinformed.

Thank you Julian. This was a good read, and I checked out the video as well. Look, I pretty much agree with all you say here, as well as with Doctorow. So keep it up my friend.

I must share with you that apparently your site is blocked on MoA and there seems to be a strong anti-Julian presence there. Typical - frankly I hate the place now. It's feral and toxic all the time. Including Bernhard. The best I can say is that his 'articles' are lightweight. That site reeks of everything you present above. The minority of decent people should all pack up and leave.

But I won't lose any sleep over it, it is not worth it. And you please do pace yourself. iirc you were on the Asperger's syndrome (?), I can relate. Don't overdo it, the details can really wear us down. Take care. Good article as are the others. Best

Thank you Julian.

I use the opportunity you offer here, to point at one of the important ways the last Decennia globalised the use of false speech and discussion. It destroyed Western Science, Universities, Politics Debate and Reason.

I leave it here in its own, to think about.

I couldn't agree more, Julian. I have just looked at Slashdot and, in one thread, the same person wrote in consecutive replies "That's nonsense" and "You're wrong". I suppose he felt some kind of satisfaction as he made those rude, dismissive comments, but they could not conceivably do any good.

Although I am reminded of the SF novel "The Mote in God's Eye" by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle. At one point a very important senior politician has expressed an opinion, and a junior naval officer who happens to be present says, "You're wrong". As the junior officer is very promising and is known to be a blunt-spoken nerd, his captain reproves him and suggests that he might say instead, "That turns out not to be the case". The offender thinks for a moment, thanks him, and says he will remember that. Then he turns back to the politician and says, "Anyway, as I said, you're wrong".

Later in the book, confronted with a treacherous double-dealing merchant who tries to deceive him, the junior officer says with a straight face, "That turns out not to be the case". He is perfectly willing to use disingenuous language to someone whom he does not like or respect.

Telling the senior politician "You're wrong" is, to him, respectful. He pays him the compliment of speaking plainly on the assumption that his honesty will in turn be respected. As it is.

Schizophrenia is a burden, with all due respect.

The time for the elegance of formal debate rules and Roberts Rules of Order are long past. Those fripperies didn’t save us from the precipice we face — lemmings engaged in single file obedience.
