As I can't read the article, I can't advise you how to edit it. Clearly, Medium is not an unrestricted public space allowing free expression. You can write whatever you like and they will publish it...unless they don't like it, in which case you can pound sand. Sounds like a place I should avoid.
Medium did reply to my questions about policy. It was the "N" word. Although I was very clear that what House "N' was a racist expression and to be condemned as ALL racist expressions should be. IMO, I find Canadian policy racist. And that includes Russophobia which I regard as a form of racism. In any case, this gave me the opportunity to rewrite the piece and include Malcolm X's wonder quote on ....you guessed it.... "house N"s. For the record, I am (apparently) racially mixed although I look "white" (well, actually pink, if you want to be really accurate). I have also lived in both First Nation and black communities, as well as Asia of course.
I found the article in my e-mail. Stupid Medium, they get all riled up over nothing. I found the article irreverent (not a bad thing in my book) but inoffensive. We live in a censorious age.
The use of the word "nigger"? Which would be funny considering that the main gist of the article is ridiculing the weapons industry (the true victim here).
Possibly. They didn't say. Or the photo of the wheelchair and machine gun? Or the girl sitting with helmet between her legs in front of the Audi? Most likely the photo of Trudy in blackface and my comment about "house niggers', which I point out is offensive as an expression but less so than a blackface parody.
Find the Medium remarks on censorship to be hateful of the truth.
I’d censor them.
What on earth?

Dear medium. com. FREE SPEECH, OR F**K OFF, BITCH.
If you're going to host people's viewpoints, they are not all going to be sweet, mushy, woke BULLSHIT.
Get off your fake moral high horse, and uphold the Right to Free Expression of Ideas.
"Fake moral high horse." I like that! "Fake morality" seems to be the New Normal.

Thanks for your comment. I have revised the article to take racial sensitivities into account. I am grateful for your input.
