'He does not mean that the US’s goal is “chaos”. He is talking about the results of US policy'.

I think you may have misunderstood. As I see it, he is asserting - correctly - that the US government's aim is chaos. Everywhere outside the USA, and in most of the USA too. Chaos reduces or removes all legal constraints, gets rid of organised military opposition, and allows corporations to cheat, lie and steal almost like the CIA.

In that sense, of course, but--for me -- that is not what "chaos" actually means, not that my understanding of things is on the same level as Hudson's!. From my point of view, with "chaos" you have no goals, although order may be generated from within. Rather this is subversion, if not a form of terrorism, which uses destruction of existing order to impose a new order and impose control. There is a specific linear logic to this. That said, it a a difference of perception between myself and Hudson. Also -- "that said" -- as usual -- your point is well-taken!

Also destroying other countries then creates a brain drain to the USA

Then those arrivals say USA saved me and pledge undying allegiance

USA is not growing brains apparently IQs dropping in USA

Einstein left a destroyed Europe for America

Read an article he seemed bored at Princeton

USA is anti intellectual so needs to import brains which Elon admitted and and Bill Gates

They need Chinas brains

Maybe USA should address why its soil is so infertille

But we have greatest universities where are the results

Useless crap like Meta

Tesla

But you have to concede the cynical brilliance of the setup. Many, if not most, people are quite mercenary. The reason so many of them head for the USA is the same reason the accused gave the judge when asked why he robbed banks: "Because that's where they keep the money".

I have the utmost respect and affection for Michael Hudson. I was introduced to him on the defunct Saker site. It was like breath of fresh air.

Sounds like chaos to me ….

Along with Steve Keen, Michael Hudson is one of my favorite economists. Thanks for this article, I don’t mind my confirmation bias being reinforced when it is coming from you. If you have the time, I would be very interested in your opinion of David Stockman’s two recent articles at antiwar.com.

Thank you. I will check out Stockman's articles. I absolutely LOVE Hudson! I particularly love his ironic way ot explaining things. Although I niggle about minor points,as you can see from my exchange with Tom about "chaos". Hudson always makes me think and question myself. Which is the most important thing a teacher can do,

It’s clear their policies are contradictory to the verbiage they use so the equation doesn’t make sense

It’s a contrived

None of it designed to make sense… chaos

The object is not destruction of everyone's economy -- just your competitors. It a Few stealing from the Many -- which means beating down others and rendering them powerless to resist. Davos is not chaos, Everything is wonderfully organized.
