Bill Gates is a terrorist!
Two weeks ago I made the mistake of letting Windows update itself – and since then I've had constant trouble.
So this weekend I found myself locked out of my main computer. I spent hours – just trying to get email back online. No internet of course. I ended up having to hack into my data files.
I have backup software — Macrium. Which I kept on putting off installing.
Fortunately I didn't lose any real data—including the special article that I was working on which is almost finished and from which this graphic is taken.
Also, I have an extra computer – an old one – that I don't use much – which I'm using now to write this., having frantically installed software
Many apologies to everyone. I know I promised to send out the special article this weekend – and wasn’t able to do that.
Nor have I been able to reply to comments or messages from people buying me coffee. Microsoft products! Disasters waiting to happen. I hate Windows but I need it to run certain third party software.
When I finally was able to access my email today, I was so impressed by the support people are giving me in the many kind messages and encouragement. Thank you so much. I will try hard to deserve you.
Ichi
Ichi's biopsy results came back. It seems like some kind of immune reaction – not bacterial or carcinogenic. He is eating better now and actually likes this computer better than the other one.
Again thank you for your support. I will be working on the special article mailing list tomorrow. It's now around midnight in Tokyo. You can buy me a coffee here.
Switch to Linux!
It was when I installed the Windows 10 anniversary update on a perfectly good HP desktop, which is still running today, that it was bricked, even though the diagnostics told me it was OK to install, that I decided on the spot to switch to Linux. I never looked back. Slowly I have helped some friends and family to do the same thing, and eventually we will get rid of the virus altogether.
