This was the single best event so far in exposing not only the "elite" definition of democracy - which is what we have always gotten - instead of the definition we were taught/told we were getting and never did.
Media complicity is off the charts in a vain effort to paint "the world's President" as an evil dictator and the Russian people as too gullible (or downtrodden) to know what's in their own interests.
Can't wait for the US sanctions and arrests for all those observers! Final nail in the coffin of exposing "democracy" for the vampire (ball) Putin called it!
There are different kinds of corruption. When people think of corruption, they normally think of bribery, money and so on – which is the Latin origin of the word. The Latin word comes from two other words which means to b. break altogether. So when a system is broken, it is corrupt. That's the problem with the US. Not only is this infrastructure broken. It's governmental system is broken. Democracy is broken.
But it always was broken. Democracy (pure) is mob rule so if you also channel the minds of the voters (which is why it's called "government") with media, no matter how many variants (republic), or fixes (revolving door of ministers like UK) you pull out of a magic hat you still have oligarchy owned slavery farms. You can't take the plantation out of it until corporations exit the planet - both for governments and commercial (especially religious) enterprises. Otherwise the soup it is stays rancid and ultimately just a way to "legally" impose order on the farm.
They like creating controlled chaos for transitions to increased "order" which always becomes more top down control. I think the world is about to get a lesson in how much better human "chaos" (genuine freedom) would be than that alien control mechanism kind and how we make it work. Showing that even perfectly executed exhibits of democracy still have their government controlling functions will be on a future menu. Especially since corporations are the source of that problem. No one is fighting corporatism. Yet. One day at a time for all the solutions to evolve. And existential wars to be ultimately won.
The present system is "liberal-fascism": rule by a corporatist oligarchy, behind a false front of liberal democracy.
In the US, it is centered around Council on Foreign Relations and its network of banks, corporations, foundations, and NGOs which has controlled the US govt and the media since WW2. Allen Dulles, who ran the CIA "Operation Mockingbird", was a CFR director for 40 years. Most of the CIA directors from Dulles to Burns have been CFR members. Likewise for the secretaries of State, Treasury, Defense, Fed chair, etc. See charts: swprs.org/the-american-empire-and-its-media/ See lists: cfr.org/membership/corporate-members
Much like high school politics, I never paid attention. Who cares who is elected class president? My real life is outside activities that have nothing to do with high school. Other kids lived for every football game and dance and social activity. So they cared.
But governments have a way of encroaching on my world. I am not cool with that at all. So I guess I hope those that enact all the deadly psychopathic psyops cancel each other out.

I agree. All this goes back a long time. It was set in motion when FDR died and Truman took over.

Kids who lived for high school, usually never grew beyond it.
Thank You Julian...
You made me laugh on these serious matters too...
