With a (official) range of about 250 miles, there is no need to locate a S-400 system near the site(s) to protect. Unlike e.g. the short-range Pantsir with about a third of the range.

In fact, all fighter jets must take human physiology into account. Even the most trained pilots begin to pass out at accelerations of about 9 g. AD missiles have no such limit, thus when properly designed, can defeat any manned jet.
