Damn good work Julian. It is very well illustrated. I'm very familiar with Russian weapons systems and you're accurate as a cruise missile.

Also I'm well aware of the flea and plague problem in Western USA. I lived in Arizona for almost 20 years. There's also the Hanta Virus that was brought about by the killing of rattlesnakes allowing a rodent population explosion. The rodent fecies would dry out in the sun, crumble to dust and infect people like Anthrax.

And that's before considering the Republican Virus, Democrat Virus, Media Plague etc.

I learned to read proper nouns in Cyrillic from using Google maps following along while reading old Russian lit. There was a KFC and Burger King in every modern city of battle in "War and Peace" (which is good reading alongside this reporting). They were my Rosetta Stone. (I say "was" because I think those companies left).

You're right. The companies left, but Russian-owned companies replaced them!

"I prayed for you to make it through." Admittedly, I used a translator.

I used google translate to get it. Nothing like it in the language books 😆

Posted on moa. 1 poster thought it prudent. 1 poster said nobody speaks that way, it sounded like a 19th century romantic novel. A Russian poster corrected the grammar & then said waste of time because Russia has zero interest in coming to US. 😂

Putin and Xi both know that the US (or at least it's so-called leaders) are bat-shit crazy and apparently only interested in looting. The misleadership class is not predictable; it's like a child throwing a tantrum - or Monty Python's Black Knight. And it really doesn't care about its own people. It doesn't even know it has already "lost". While I'm sure Putin and Xi (and others) would be happy to let West self destruct, they also know such self-destruction will drag down the whole planet and sooner or later that will happen unless the West is forcefully stopped. Conundrum!

And there is something else to this.... Biden and the Deep State know that Putin and Xi will keep things sane, so they are perfectly willing to up the ante, to blow up the MidEast, to start WW3, because they know they can count on Putin and Xi to keep it within bounds.

The USA is compulsive, whereas Russia and China are long-term strategic planners. My money's on the latter. There are undoubtedly some smart folk in the US who are incredibly frustrated that they can't make their friends and leaders realise this.

This trick in this war is to not use nuclear weapons at all Id say.

Good account of why the USA is no longer a safe island castle none can reach and inflict war damage!

It’s the leadership of the West with it’s fanatical financial assault upon democracy by privatizing it for personal profit. it’s cruel colonial psyche disguised to fool its own people.

It’s rotten to the core any way you look at it .

It the planet is destroyed no one benefits but the End of Time Zionists and Fanatical Christians . Jonestown philosophy where everyone committed suicide is the dream of these monsters.

Unfortunately weapons don’t kill crazy , insane ideas but revealing the true agenda of our western leaders will change everything!

It’s a slow process but I see Duda the Dolt is no longer in power in Poland .

No one wants to go medieval again!

It's going to be a tough one for Russia, when a tactical nuke is dumped onto Iran.

Old Russia, loving that isra-Hell, all part of the Holocaust Industry.

Another Wow, Julian. I hope you are right.

My belly tells me you are, esp. in concern of how western illusionary suprematism generates bs for marketing video, as so many the say and do.

But of course it is not everywhere the case, I am sure there still are some high skilled engineers and companies with a sophisticated standard in the USA.

The story of Boing on the other hand shows how these companies are destroying themselves by staring on the Share Holder Value...

Russian nukes worry me less than US nukes, and US nukes worry me far less than Israeli nukes. Despite that concern, I'm pleased to see that some people haven't forgotten that there's a war in Ukraine and a global geopolitical war. Whereas your detailing of scary Russian weapons should be a warning to the American Public, imagine what it's like to be a Ukrainian facing it. 1200 got killed yesterday - https://mikehampton.substack.com/p/russian-defence-ministry-report-ukraine-war - hell, the containers of the dead never made headlines before IDF vs Hamas.

Your animal anecdotes are a reminder that there's more than politics, and more to fight for.

Great stuff, as always!

Russia shared its S400 IP with China in 2019.

I presume that China reciprocated by helping with S500 development.

The two countries are merging their Northern Pacific surveillance systems, too,

Very interesting and sobering information. I think we all know why the West is behind the Russians in military prowess--the US in particular only cares about the profits it can make by selling "the next best thing" weapon-wise to others. The US isn't thinking about whether or not if it's worth it militarily or not. Good ol' commonsense and practicality will win out every time. Sorry MIC!

"The West still cannot defend against hypersonic weapons--but the Russians can! "

Bingo! Adding to that, most of the hypersonic algorithm development programs (that I know of anyways) are run by PhDs from Cornell's aero/astro/mechanical program. So only people who have demonstrated an ability to pay (or have someone else pay) up $50k+ per semester over many years are allowed into the programs. Spending a lot of money is not an indicator of intelligence.

There are many AIAA (aero/astro society) textbooks from the 60s/70s that discuss hypersonics, so it certainly is not a topic that only a very small select priesthood is capable of understanding.
