If Russians wanted to pay back the same way, they could just shrug and say "we also can play the jihadist game" , and give missiles to some 'jihadists' , send them to Mexico, have them launch at the California beachgoers. True, most of the so called 'jihadist movements' are creations of CIA or its puppets, but Russia could do this just as easily.

I doubt they will stoop that low, most likely response will be something that the general public will not know was done by Russia, but US will know, and costs the US a lot moneywise, and causes difficulties for the elite, because basically nothing else is effective and Putin knows this.

The elite print their own fiat-currency. Federal Reserve Banking. Legal theft. And pay no taxes, like the American middle class do. But sure, the elites have real money. Metals. And they own pretty much everything now. Let them have it all! Don't be greedy! The rich will always feel poor, so have pityu for the poor rich people! So, own nothing and be happy! Vote for the two child rapists presented by the ugly media, lying to you 24/7, and soon you will eat the bugs! Do NOT vote on the blacked out RFK JR!

If Putin didn't have patience and great diplomats like Lavrov, we'd be in a world of hurt now.

Looking forward to your BRICS analysis.

It seems to me Russia needs to find a way to hit Western decision making centers. Further, they cannot really outsource the hit; they need to own it, big time. Otherise US will continue the provocations and pretend they don't exist.

I'll volunteer the entire Maine congressional delegation as a fitting target. I know,I know, most Americans will want to know why can't the Russians take out their delegation. Just my self interest.

Regarding the Japanese Bond sell off . That was Norinchukin Bank , which is insolvent , acquiring cash to try and stave off the day of reckoning . It will work for a while but they are still insolvent .

While highly likely the US played some role, isn't it only speculation at this point of their involvement in the Dagestan attacks? Maybe I missed something? Certainly, they are directly responsible in the beech bombing just as corporate press is irresponsible in ignoring it. As Alexander Mercouis pointed out yesterday, even if the target was the nearby military base, for the US to assist in a Sunday daytime attack with civilians in the line of fire was despicable. As is their use of cluster munitions in the process. Hard to see that as anything but a reckless regard for life.

Seriously, you believe the 9/11 cover story? Wow. I didn't think anyone did.

Clearly American strategy is to provoke/distract Putin, the chess master, with their inane proxy clowns like Zelensky and Netanyahu . Like the Roman Empire, the world is witnessing a disintegrating "bread and circuses" Western Empire rapidly 'losing its grip' on its own populations; witness France's Macron and Germany's Scholz in decline.

And, in America, it's going to be a long hot summer leading up to the Democratic party convention on August 19 in Chicago, 'A Helluva Town', literally!

If I was a US soldier in US occupied Syria or overstaying my 'welcome' in Iraq I would be getting quite nervous.

Interesting article but, although I agree the old eagle is getting reckless, there is some method in the US mayhem. It suits Russia to take its time and destroy the NATO/Ukrainian army whilst staying a thousand kilometres from NATO supply bases - easy logistics and low casualties. The idea of terror attacks is to make it harder for Putin to continure with this policy. It puts pressure on him to rush things - more difficult logistics and higher casualties. Knowing the sort of people they are dealing with, no doubt, the Russians have thought long and hard about this. It will be interesting to see what they do but for political reasons it cannot be nothing.

The next thing to look for would be a new 911 in the USA, that would be blamed on the Russians.

At least that my bet.

Thanks for such a thoughtful post today
