Just a note to thank those who take the time to comment. Your comments, including your criticisms, give me perspective and help me grow.
Forensic analysis, which is what I do, is deductive. Detective work. The truth is hidden. All we have is clues which are apparent in contradictions. I get things wrong as often as I get them right.
Those who comment on my posts add that something extra.
I see— therefore I think therefore I am— as the philosopher Merleau Ponty was said to have said (although he probably didn’t).
First, we must see. At 76, my eyes are getting bad.

Julian, am I reading you right? You mentioned at the end that you're 76 and your eyes are getting bad. Are you really 76? If so, your profile photo is the of younger days.
