The Iraq war was not started for oil. Oil is a secondary benefit.

The Iraq war (and all American wars in the ME) started to make Israel safer. They were Israeli wars waged by America on its behalf through the controlled and/or duped American elite.

Even Syria now. They use the oil to fund the anti Assad terrorists to destabilize Syria and bring it under control. Oil is not the primary reason.

I remember an article in Fortune magazine just before the second Iraq war. It projected a lower oil price, economic boom etc. all BS of course as was subsequently clear. But it also quoted a senior executive from one of the oil majors, I’ll never forget his comment, “….the cheapest way to get oil is to buy it”.

But what about the thousands of US troop occupying and protecting the Syrian oil fields. Certainly not defending Israel

Protecting? You mean stealing?

Yes. It is at first unclear - who is proxy to whom? Israel to the US or vice versa. Discerning by the light of tribal make-up and consequent allegiances of US State Department personnel, the answer becomes, at once, clear and a thought-crime.

No one tells us where all these Israelis are going as they flee in their millions?

I have always thought the US is controlled by Israel.

The original plan was to have them flee to their real, historic 8th Century homeland in the Ukraine, centered on Slutsk, the modern center of Chabad Turkic talmudo-satanism - the 'religion' of Ashcanazi non-semite "jews". Hopefully, Putin and Russia have put a stop to that plan. Read Arthur Koestler's Thirteenth Tribe as an introduction to this important and little-known reality.

Thanks for the recommendation for Arthur Koestler's Book.

To be honest, Hitler attacked SOVIET UNION because he NEEDED its resources (ispecifically Azerbaijani oil). Just couldn't sustain the war machine, and therefore, at that point, German economy, with effectively a British blockade of the Mediterranean sea and Carpathians oil exhausted... Once the tank is empty tanks do not move, as Rommel learned in North Africa... So with the "Battle of Britain" lost there was no feasible alternative.

Japan too, was forced into war by a trade (and oil) embargo through naval siege. The West is strangely cognizant of the beneficial use of fig leaves to cover its evil intentions and deeds, always blaming the wronged party. Could they be afraid of their own people finding out what, in their name, the real owners of modern Western nations are up to?

During the interregnum between the end of WW1 and 1939 Germany and Russia had a constructive relationship. Hitler made a fatal error stabbing Stalin in the back.

It was still a stupid move that drove the Soviet Union into British Empire.

Well, my point, following on what MACFARLANE wrote, is that it is the economy driving war; therefore I do not judge the move stupidity, that I agree with, but is a posteriori assessment, or its morality, that is an ethical assessment, but that was economically forced on Germany

Seems to me economically the US has nothing to offer the rest of the world. Other countries (because of sanctions) have gone another route.

Doesn't really matter who is the President. They are all the same.

Trump is facing a whole different world now...he will try diplomacy, a handshake here and there photo ops but no-one wants to do business with the USA.

Biden has brought the Arab countries together because of a deranged state called Israel.

Now it's time for Europe to get it's stupid head together too.

Israel is not a state but a jewish Mafia hide-out with some superficial state features - mostly parodic.

Another good post Julian.

Great post. I'm afraid the situation is not dependent on the puppet in the White House.

Ukraine should be seen in conjunction with Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya.

The CIA had grand plans, which seem to be coming to a sudden dead end.

Quick summary:

- Iraq destabilized in 1990 and 2003.

-Afghanistan destabilized in 2003-2023.

- polarized anti American youth recruited and armed

- money: Afghani heroin sales by CIA

- check a map, Israel neighbours to the west. Egypt (US stooge), Libya (problem). Israel neighbours to south, Jordan (US), Saudi Arabia (US). East - Syria (problem)Iraq (cracked), then Iran (problem), then Afghanistan (cracked), North - Turkey (NATO)

- 2012 crack Libya. Done. No Eastern front.

- 2014 Ukraine preparation starts

- 2014 rebrand all your trained and fundamental mercenaries from 2003 -2014 as ISIS and pretend to fight them.

- Crack Syria and create greater Israel, pull in Erdogan with some promises of spoils and Kurd killing.

What happened? Assad phoned Putin.

What would have happened?

The 360k opiod funded mercenary army would lay waste to Syria, go back into Iraq, in their dreams lay waste to Iran (or skip around back into Afghanistan and then attack Russia through the 'Stans) This would have coincided with Ukraine attacking from the West.

It would have made an immense difference if the 360k battle hardened ISIS attack force could be put to use to fight Russia in the early days of 2019/2020. They might have succeeded.

But it is 2024.

-Israel is not greater Israel from the Tigris to the Euphrates

-The Saudis don't trust the USA to make them feel safe

-Syria is hobbling along

-Turkey is not so friendly with the Issies

-The Taliban is curbing the cultivation of opium again - gone is the yearly 1.3 trillion dollar 'moderate' terrorism slushfund

- Iran is stronger

- Ukraine is almost cracked

- Libya is a disaster

Remember Lavrov: "if it walks like a terrorist and it talks like a terrorist, it is a terrorist."

"What will Trump do?" Does he still have many opportunities to use the "classic" levers of pressure and manipulation on the rest of the world ? In my opinion, Biden pulled almost all the "raisins out of the bun"!? Even looking at his "hawk squadron", you wonder : What can they really do without this belligerent chatter, hand-wringing and "evil" facial expressions? On the outside , in America itself ? Someone may probably have "fears" or "hopes" associated with these people in power in the United States. To make it worse than it already is , they can, to make it better is unlikely : they are not capable of this .
