Believing anything from US politicians is one of the biggest mistakes a person can make, only Great Britain is worse ! Ukrainians could learn from the experiences of the 1956 Hungarian revolution. Although it is well known that the Hungarian Revolution was carried out in blood by armored divisions led by Ukrainians ! Well, in early November 1956, Soviet soldiers were already knee-deep in the blood of Hungarian youth on the streets of Budapest, but the CIA-funded and controlled Radio Free Europe was still screaming that the soldiers of the Free World (USA) were already at the western borders of Hungary to help the Hungarian revolutionaries ! Nobody came ! The civilized West was deaf, it did not hear the screams of Hungarian university students trampled by tanks, just as it does not hear the death screams of Syrian Christians now ! At the age of three, I saw my father, the celebrated athlete, being dragged away by the communist police before my eyes, forever ! I'm not angry with the American people, because I've made quite a few friends from them since then, but I've learned the lesson well that Henry Kissinger said, "Being an enemy of the USA is dangerous, but being its friend is fatal!"
I read elsewhere - a you tube comment I think - that Russian artillery were not targeting troops leaving Kursk, in line with Trump's request. No idea if this is true, but many Russians would be enraged if it is.
Meanwhile, Trump is giving new Boeing missiles to kill Russian servicemen.
Putin is a brilliant leader with huge achievements, but why does he consistently fall for US chicanery?
When did Putin fall for Western chicanery last, in 2022?
Does it look like he's falling for it now?
As in the beginning of the article, one has to understand the Russian use of the word "Nuance" and its inference, used by Putin, which very few outside of Russia understand, and neither did I until listening to another Russian , Andre Martynov, is a polite way of saying get F....d
So you think Putin's use of the Russian word for nuances actually means "Get Fucked?" I seriously doubt Putin would say that. But I do believe Martyanov would claim that.
Point taken. But there are times when Putin could take a leaf out of Medvedev's book and be a little more forthright. Trump is not sophisticated, and shoots from the hip.
By his own admission, Putin has made many mistakes by underestimating the West. He should take the gloves off at times.
Putin is professional and acts as a diplomat at all times with decorum, while Medvedev doesn't have to.
Putin gives Medvedev free reign to say what he actually vwants to say.
Putin's underestimating of the West, is nowhere near the West's underestimating of Putin and Russia, given that Russia has been able to recover their position, but the West won't be able to recover their position and therefore resort to propaganda and blatant lies in a desperate attempt to save face, while only making their situation worse.
There is a massive amount of propaganda, gaslighting, and fabrication regarding the Russo-Ukrainian War, mainly from the Western side. Any claim you see that tries to make Russia look foolish, just assume it's fake until proven otherwise, that's what I do.
Over a decade back, Dmitry Orlov was predicting the US "empire" might follow a similar trajectory to political collapse/social dissolution as the USSR had (and for similar reasons). Dmitry did predict some things that have/are now coming to pass, his timing isn't perfect but neither is mine.
Orlov's predictions are partly responsible for the size of my gardens and depth of food & consumables storage... Also for at least one of my siblings hedging in similar matters.
The surrounding of troops in Kursk has been shown to be incorrect. The idea Putin got rid of the oligarchs is risible. Russia has been dreadful towards its neighbours. Poland has done a lot better than Russia. The latter has GDP per capita lower than Romania: a bit rubbish really.
Russia has treated Georgia, Ukraine or Moldova well? Poland hasn’t done a lot better economically? Russian GDP isn’t below Romania’s? There are no Russian oligarchs? There is proof troops in Kursk are surrounded?
Love the way you finished your article, Julian: Putin in his Haraigoshi hip throw vs Trump looking like a beached whale on the golf course! Trump is well on the way to being regarded as the Tesla of world leaders.

Russian artillery and drones target UAF troops trying to leave., The YouTube comment is incorrect.
When did Putin fall for Western chicanery last, in 2022?

Have you checked to see if that is actually the case? BTW it's Andrei Martyanov and he is over the top biased.
So what is biased about the truth?
What convinces you that Andre Martynov is a liar, your own bias?
Martyanov is -- of course -- biased-- but that does not mean that he is not correct , certainly in this case.
So you think Putin's use of the Russian word for nuances actually means "Get Fucked?" I seriously doubt Putin would say that. But I do believe Martyanov would claim that.
My point exactly.
The fact that he feels obliged to respond to trump's absurd request already looks like a sign of weakness IMO.
As I thought I made clear, Putin is NOT responding to Trump's request in actuality. He just replied "diplomatically" with Russian "nuance".
You really aren't that bright, are you???
You obviously didn't understand how Putin was actually mocking Trump, with what appeared to be a subtle response.
Point taken. But there are times when Putin could take a leaf out of Medvedev's book and be a little more forthright. Trump is not sophisticated, and shoots from the hip.

Putin does not underestimate the West, I think. But he is very careful.
Putin is professional and acts as a diplomat at all times with decorum, while Medvedev doesn't have to.

When Medvedev was President, he made some major mistakes, particularly with LIbya.
I don't believe that to be true, I have seen videos of Russian drones targeting Ukrainian troops on foot as they flee.
Putin clearly told Trump that the only way to save the Ukrainians trapped in Kursk was if they were to lay down their weapons and surrender.
So far, over 500 have.
Agreed. With the benefit of hindsight i think I was taken in by some fake news. I'm in agreement with your other points too.
There is a massive amount of propaganda, gaslighting, and fabrication regarding the Russo-Ukrainian War, mainly from the Western side. Any claim you see that tries to make Russia look foolish, just assume it's fake until proven otherwise, that's what I do.
Those videos can be viewed on YouTube at Murat ... something or other.
Re: Post USSR malaise?
See "Social collapse best practices" by Dmitry Orlov as article (and several live presentations).

Thanks for this.

Great insights on Vladimir Putin. The West has totally and purposefully misunderstood him. But he'll have the last laugh.
The more I learn about Russia and Putin, the more I want to live there💕

You have countered nothing.
Your raison d'être seems to be spreading your russophobic bullsh*t to the maximum degree possible in substack comment sections.
What a pathetic existence.
I'm curious- do you have a bunch of prepared idiotic comments that you copy & paste or do you tap out each idiotic comment individually?
