Introduction
The article below (Saving a Nation From Genocide) is an adaptation from my much revised and reworked article on Vladimir Putin for coffeebuyers, which is taking so much time to finish, largely because, as you can see, I cover so many things from macroeconomics to social and culture issues, before turning to those most important of all questions —who is Vladimir Putin, why is Vladimir Putin, what is Vladimir Putin Answering those questions goes a long way to not only explaining his past actions— but future ones as well.
The West seems mystified by Putin. And what they do not understand, the vilify.
For example, Putin has just (politely and diplomatically) turned down a ‘ceasefire” by agreeing to it!
That is, he agreed to it in line with previously stated conditions, which he knew the West and the Ukraine would never accept. And he did that because he knows the West (that is, the US of A (and its thug states) does not want peace — only primacy, using peace “negotiations” as camouflage—which is why they have trying to talk a ‘deal” in public rather than privately, as is usually the case in diplomacy.
A deal? To resurrect and update an old trope. Would you buy a used Tesla from this man?
Returning to the Ceasefire Deal, Putin “Agreeing” but setting terms which he knows the US will reject — publicly—is a fast pitch which the Americans cannot hit.
At the same time, Putin has agreed with Trump that Ukrainian forces in Kursk, now surrounded, will be treated with mercy. But again there are conditions or what the Russian’s call “nuance ” which is a crude double entendre. . Trump, of course, just wanted the Russians to let them retreat from Kursk to Ukraine to fight another day. Putin has said they will not be harmed if the surrender — but otherwise they will be annihilated. Also, that those guilty of war crimes will be tried and justice served according to Russian law.
The fact is that Putin has 30 years of experience of the Americans have attacked his country in one way or another. They have not changed their policies in that time,
Once Russia faced a kind of genocide. But it survived and is growing stronger by the day and the US declines.
Is it a wonder that Putin takes nothing the US says or does at face value?

Saving a Nation from Genocide
The West persists in its characterization of Putin as a “murderous dictator” who has driven Russia to the verge of collapse. The opposite is the case. Putin saved Russia from collapse, and he saved the nation from a kind of genocide – not like the Nazi’s or the Zionist’s—but the a very American kind, as we shall see.
The New Russia has seen notable improvements in nutrition, living standards, disposable income, retirement support, access to education and healthcare, improved infrastructure, crime prevention and public safety, consumer choice, as well as access to information and, of course, social connection, family and the like –which mean better lives for everyone –longer lives.
As you can see, life expectancy in Russia had achieved its lowest point at the time that Putin took over.
My coffebuyer Bob, an AI expert, did some “deep seeking” put everything in perspective,
I asked DeepSeek to give me some idea of how many 9/11 equivalents for the period after the fall of the USSR from 1991 to 1999, during the rule of Yeltsin as he applied Western methods and policies at the direction of the US,privatizing everything and handing it over to the oligarchs. Then came Putin, who put an end to it, which is why he is evil incarnate in the West. . Then a guy named Putin showed up and put an end to all that Which is why he is evil incarnate to the West: because he ended the economic rapine and profiteering.
Here is the key insight from DeepSeek:
\The Russian Federation endured a catastrophic level of excess mortality, equivalent to a 9/11-scale event every 20 hours for 8 years. One 9/11 every 20 hours for 8 years. Even if you don’t normalize for the different population sizes, it is still in raw numbers one 9/11 every 36 hours for 8 years..
Think about that !
One 9/11 every day and a half!
The Lancet identifies causes – privatization, which literally drove the male population to drink.
In simple numbers, 2.8 million deaths—that’s the National Institute of Health’s figure! .—roughly half the Jewish holocaust!
As Bob says, “This is what the US does to their “friends”.
When Putin took over, life expectancy rose dramatically – a steeper increase than in other countries.
The Russian goal is 78 by the end of 2025 although in recent years, life expectancy has been increasing 2% a year. By contrast, life expectancy in the US is stagnant, the country falling from 44th worldwide to 66th. Every country has issues specific to culture and economy, of course. In the US it is poverty, predatory capitalism and lack of healthcare—all of which offer clues to recently “unexplained” increases in early onset cancers and chronic conditions.
In Russia, with the collapse of the USSR, the breakdown of community and social values meant not only economic depression but psychological malaise, especially among the weaker sex – men – suddenly deprived of both purpose and hope.
When privatization was added to the mix in 1990, the results were catastrophic, As Bob says, a 9/11 every day and half—a decade long holocaust whose poison was not Zyklon B, but alcohol and tobacco and suicide.
In the early 1990s, data showed that one in two men of working age would die prematurely because of alcohol, with life expectancy in men reaching an absolute low of 57 years in 1994.
The first thing Putin did on taking power was to reverse privatization by 70%, alienating the West and the Russian “Atlanticists” who had profited from it.
But he had to do more than that to achieve the dramatic changes that we see today. He had to reduce social and economic pressures and hardship, offer a sense of purpose, encourage physical fitness, prioritize healthy, and teach Russians they didn’t need alcohol and tobacco to cope, That meant sweeping changes but something more –he had to be more than a political leader – he had to provide an example as a role model – a real one, not just PR.
He had to somehow change what it meant to be a man in Russia.
Putin is often ridiculed in the West for publishing photos of himself, shirtless on horseback or doing Judo or swimming or fishing.
He is not just showing off. Western pseudo-psychologists, masking as “journalists”, call this “toxic male narcissism”. In the case of the photo below the caption is: Vladimir Putin shows brute force.
It is nothing of the kind Putin’s opponent is taller, bigger and heavier, And the technique used is Haraigoshi is a standard leg/ hip throw which relies on leverage, not strength.
Western propaganda has responded to such images No he can’t be healthy—he’s suffering from cancer or some other ailment. Most of these stories seem to emanate from British “intelligence”, along with other Loony Toons.
Without a doubt Putin is the fittest world leader in modern history.
For Western leaders, the sport of choice is golf, which is an indicator social class and costs money. Every President since forever plays golf.
What exactly is Trump a role model for?

Believing anything from US politicians is one of the biggest mistakes a person can make, only Great Britain is worse ! Ukrainians could learn from the experiences of the 1956 Hungarian revolution. Although it is well known that the Hungarian Revolution was carried out in blood by armored divisions led by Ukrainians ! Well, in early November 1956, Soviet soldiers were already knee-deep in the blood of Hungarian youth on the streets of Budapest, but the CIA-funded and controlled Radio Free Europe was still screaming that the soldiers of the Free World (USA) were already at the western borders of Hungary to help the Hungarian revolutionaries ! Nobody came ! The civilized West was deaf, it did not hear the screams of Hungarian university students trampled by tanks, just as it does not hear the death screams of Syrian Christians now ! At the age of three, I saw my father, the celebrated athlete, being dragged away by the communist police before my eyes, forever ! I'm not angry with the American people, because I've made quite a few friends from them since then, but I've learned the lesson well that Henry Kissinger said, "Being an enemy of the USA is dangerous, but being its friend is fatal!"
I read elsewhere - a you tube comment I think - that Russian artillery were not targeting troops leaving Kursk, in line with Trump's request. No idea if this is true, but many Russians would be enraged if it is.
Meanwhile, Trump is giving new Boeing missiles to kill Russian servicemen.
Putin is a brilliant leader with huge achievements, but why does he consistently fall for US chicanery?
