Trump 2.0
As I wrote earlier, I was surprised that Trump did so well in the popular vote, although I expected him to win in the electoral college. It is what religious people call a “Sign”!
There are several reasons for Trump’s success, of course. The most obvious is demonstrable DNP incompetency. It wasn’t just Biden who had dementia - it was his entire government and the media, too.
The decline in the influence of the Mainstream Media was especially important which has governments in the West desperately looking for ways to curb dissent in Alt Media.
Then there was the new Team— Musk, RFK, Vance. You might not like Trump much but worship at thee Elon altar. RFK appeals to those who sense something wrong with Big Pharma and the CDC. And Vance looks down-to-earth. Let us not forget Hulk Hogan.
Who did Harris have? Hillary? Bill? The increasingly discredited Obamas?
But most important to the shift in voter attitudes was that question “Are you better off today than you were four years ago?’ as Ronald Reagan put it.
Obviously not better off.
Joe America is paying more for everything, taking home less, and his day to day bread-and-butter concerns are not being addressed. It is not the fairer or more equal society he was promised. He wants better education for his kid, not a sex-change operation. He sees the Justice system perverted for lawfare.
Voters are threatened not just by the future next year and the year after - but by today and tomorrow. When they feel threatened in this way, you get a protest vote, even if the candidate paid off a hooker.
This is part of a trend towards populist reactionism in the Western Collective.
Starmer’s days as PM are numbered. The German coalition has just collapsed. Trudeau is on his way out. France is a mess. In Japan, the new PM just got a thorough drubbing in their election — not that Japan has anything like a legitimate opposition.
Most of Europe is trending “right” — with rightwing governments in Scandinavia, Italy and Greece, maybe soon Spain. Whatever “right wing” means— I don’t actually know anymore — since it certainly doesn’t mean today what it meant twenty years ago!
Trump did not start this - he is just an expression of public dissatisfaction with a political ecosystem which has no place for them.
God knows what happens next.

In regard to the paying off a hooker comment - Hillary kept lawyers on retainer to deal with Bill's conquests, in order to pay off/intimidate/discredit them. The women were labeled "bimbo eruptions" or something like that. I always remember that pretty much anything the Dems accuse others of, the Dems are doing themselves, likely much harder.
I think the only thing to say here is: Will Trump be Inaugurated?
