Trump is a bully, therefore, psychologically a coward.

My only concern if Trump does order an attack on Iran are the retaliatory strikes on our sailors and soldiers who had no say in the matter.

I suspect that if Trump does strike Iran, most of the American fleet in the region will be sunk.

Meanwhile, reports are coming in that Israelis are protesting against the IDF.

However, at this point I am not sure there is enough of Israel left to have a civil war...

Sorry, but there is absolutely no need to feel sorry for them because they DID have a say: they did not have to join the army or navy.

They knew beforehand that the U.S. is a warmongering country that has never faced an enemy on its soil, therefore you don't need to be an Einstein to realize that signing up to the army/navy is signing up to be used as cannon fodder in illegal wars.

I asked them how much they REALLY trusted our politicians? They joined anyhow, God help them. And us.

Nope. I understand what you are TRYING to say and even sympathize with some of your views- But please go back and rework that statement into something factually correct? If you are trying to fight the empire with words, they should at least be ACCURATE.

In preindustrial humanity, childbirth carried about a 1.2% chance of fatality for the mother. This varied a LOT by society and area, that's the best average world wide we can assess.

CHILDREN had only a slightly higher risk AT BIRTH. However, typically, of those surviving the immediate time of their birth, about 30% in the best of times/areas died before adulthood, up to 50% in bad times and less forgiving areas didn't live to adulthood.

If "most" had died during childbirth and then the pre adult mortality was as we can now assess it to have been, we would have gone extinct. Google is your friend here-

I voted for Trump but not for this.

Hes demand for "unconditional surrender" was met by a

1. Never from the Ayatollah

2. "Unconditional bombardment" by the IRGCs X account

Trump is an absolute fxvking moron. Hes in dire need of a lesson. His son should be front and center if this starts.

He keeps mouthing off. "We own the Iranian airspace"

You dont own shit. That same day 3 hrs later Iran sent fateh missiles into Haifa. Hours later they took out the stock market building

I didnt vote for this stupidity. This is not our war. And this isnt about WMD its about Israeli desire for primacy, our attempt tp weaken BRICS and Trumps ego.

Moron doesnt realize:

They didnt bend the knee to you in 2018 with crippling sanctions and threats of invasion. What makes you think they will now?

The last few days (i get my news from threads/tiktok/x/youtube - so am not polluted by the main stream media spin - i see pictures and videos from citizen journalists on the scene in both countries - and israel is getting rocked and pummelled) has shocked the world as to how advanced and resilient Iranians are.

I dont think Trump knows what hes up against

I think we maybe in for a surprise. Three Chinese military cargo planes landed in Iran the last few days.

Iranians are shocking the world. They can apparently take out f35s .. If they manage to sink an air craft carrier our reputation is done.

We would have to resort to Nukes to try and restore the fear. And do you really think the world as a whole would allow us to use nuclear weapons not once not twice but three times?

Thank you, Julian for bringing us up-to-date again on the Iran project.

I am so free as to add some new developments: 'China steps out of the Shadow' (below).

And i have an upgrade in my sensing of the role Trump plays in the Iran Project (and even more):

It was clear Trump was creating a lot of noise and uncertainty about his intentions and even on his Mental health... -never trust a masking Narcissist... yes, i have changed my previous sensing of Trump for using Autistic Masking, but GROK (AI) compared both types of masking and indicated that Autistic Masking is to be hiding as a person and certainly not attract attention, and Narcissistic Masking is to draw attention to promote the Ego.

OK. Currently my sensing is that Trump goes out of his mind in trying to create confusion about his intentions and even his mental health. What is he hiding that would improve his Ego in such a way that it would minimise the damage he did to his Ego in that way up to now ?

1. To stop the War in Ukraine (what is currently done by Putin, without much opposition, because all power has gone to the ME for the attack on Iran.

2. To prevent beginning a new war on Iran, as Bibi was forcing him to do with the whole of the Zionist Tentacle from the City of London, that still has Powerful Tentacles in the US.

OK. Ok, i explain it: Trump did not betray Iran in his 'sudden' support of the Bibi-murderous, barbaric and treasonous attack. It was intended to let Bibi fall into the trap, what he did... and now Bibi is up to his ears in misery and has to deal with the angry hornet's nest that he has provoked all by himself. Trump will NOT start a war on Iran, he betrays Bibi. So Trump did NOT start any new War, just as he promised to his MAGA-voters.

Result: He did what he promised: stop the war in Ukraine (That is being done by Putin) and he did NOT start a new war. Everybody clapping, Trump bowing ...

OK the news (from the Military Summary channel by Dima):

->https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R6NE0t8z9NA

Cassandra: 1) Does 🐲China ask Oman to close their ✈️Airspace for US 🛩️Airplanes, 🚀Missiles and B2-Bombers, to prevent US-#Attacks on 🕌Iran ???

2) Will 🐲China convince Egypt, that they risk damage (A Blocking) of the Suez Canal, so that they can limit access of war-parties (Like US or Britain) to the Suez canal, based on the Constantinopel-Convention (1888) ? This would make supply to the Arab Sea very difficult.

Last week(s?) China has been busy flying to the North-East of Iran, without transponder with huge cargo planes and more. Furthermore it has sent 2 navy ships for various electronics functions (detecting missiles, airplanes, Spying, EW jamming etc.). They are now in the Gulf, where ALL US SHIPS have disappeared in a hurry.

My sensing tells me, that Putin and Xi have decided to work together. Russia will quickly finish of the Ukraine war and provide Iran with Air defenses (Radars, S400 systems etc.) China will use its immense investment power to arrange some things with countries like Oman and Egypt.

If this i correct, (i estimate a likelihood of 70%,) The Monster will be in a Frenzy and will start slapping with its Tentacles. So i warn individuals to take care. It has no moral scruples...

Julian, for an expat living outside the USA, you certainly seem to claim intimate knowledge of the mind and soul of the President of the United States, and the workings of his security briefings and the NSC. Somehow I doubt you have held a recent active Top Secret security clearance. Visceral, loaded, off the cuff remarks are the stock in trade of what was once called "yellow press" journalism. If you genuinely think POTUS is not being briefed at levels of insight far beyond your wildest imagination, you are sadly mistaken. If you genuinely believe that a man you characterize as one who "...does not read..." can amass a personal fortune worth several billion dollars, you are at best uninformed. I've found many of your comments insightful in the past. Sadly, this particular screed is not in that category. Readers would be well advised to take this vitriol with more than just a grain of salt. When you, personally, have held the fate of more than several hundred human lives in your hands (not thousands, not millions, just several hundreds) get back with us on that. Until then, care for your cats. If you, or any of the commentors here, have personally held national level direct policy and/or decisive (lethal "lives in danger") action authority, then you will know whereof I speak. If not, such responsibility weighs heavily on the decision maker. Only sociopaths would make such decisions lightly. And President Trump is not a sociopath.

Julian publicly bills himself as a strategic analyst, Ed. So he's basically asking to be held to those standards. (Did you know there *are* in fact US national standards for strategic analysis? Yep. Promulgated by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) and applicable across the entire intelligence community.) Well, I did that job at national and theater level for the United States Army for a couple of decades. (Retired September 2023.) I've lived in multiple Asian nations (professionally) for years as well.

As I noted, I've found many of Julian's thoughts insightful. That's not a throwaway comment, Ed. Julian certainly seems to be a uniquely talented thinker. That's why I continue to read his work.

But his latest column fails to meet his normal high standards, is emotionally charged with undeserved vitriol, and displays a distinct lack of understanding of national and theater level policy making and execution. I helped do that professionally (before I retired). I'm not sure Julian shares that background. Trust whom you will, Ed.

So if Trump is getting such deep insights into the situation why is he giving simpleton answers to questions?

I suggest you correct and Trump is receiving large amount of advise. I also suspect that advise is chosen to favour personal ambition for those wanting to be around once Trump has gone.

Expand full comment
David G. Tatman's avatar

From what I've seen on various TV channels. a fair number of the folks asking questions either are unaware that they are asking for classified information (which they aren't going to get) or playing Beltway Politics "Gotcha", a game in which the questioner is basically using the question as a virtue signalling tool, knowing full well they are not going to get an answer, but using the question as a platform tool to get air time. My dad, now long passed away, used to say: "Ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer." Fair amount of truth to that.

As for DC being a magnet for those with immense quantities of personal ambition, yep. Never found it to be otherwise.

Also, President Trump has a certain style. He always has, and it hasn't changed much over the years - sort of modern day P.T. Barnum. It's actually rather old school American promoter. It's a style that turns off a lot of folks, but appeals to a lot of others. I don't think our President is going to change his style (much) at this point in his life. But don't confuse style with substance.

Donald Trump has been concerned about nuclear proliferation since about 1970, according to a New York Times article from 1984. "He says that his concern for nuclear holocaust is not one that popped into his mind during any recent made-of-television movie. He says that it has been troubling him since his uncle, a nuclear physicist, began talking to him about it 15 years ago." https://www.nytimes.com/1984/04/08/magazine/the-expanding-empire-of-donald-trump.html#

Folks may not like his style, which has always drawn flak, but he has been against nuclear proliferation all his adult life, and apparently for much of that time, believed that he could be an international negotiator resulting in effective non-proliferation. He is deeply against nuclear weapons. His current stance, his current position, is one of three main platforms he ran on back in 2016, but it is at least three decades older than that. For all those fearing he'll resort to force, do recall that this is a man who prides himself on negotiation - and with good reason. You may not like what he is trying to get, but throughout his life, in his own way, he's often gotten done what he wanted to get done. Perhaps he'll be able to get Iran pried away from nuclear weapons development without having to use US force. If anyone can, it will likely be Donald J. Trump.

Interesting side note - but certainly relevant - from Vox Day.....

Let me get this straight. Atomic/Nuclear weaponry has supposedly been around since 1945. It’s very old, very basic technology that has been acquired by countries as underdeveloped as India, Pakistan, South Africa, and Israel.

Hypersonic missiles are so technologically advanced and difficult to manufacture that only four countries in the world have deployed them: China, Russia, North Korea, and Iran. The USA hasn’t successfully developed one yet, neither have Japan, France, or the UK.

Full text: https://voxday.net/2025/06/17/iran-has-nukes/

And yet, we’re supposed to believe that Iran doesn’t already possess nuclear warheads to install on those hypersonic delivery systems?

I don’t buy it. If nuclear weaponry actually exists – and there is very good reason to doubt that it does – then Iran has it. If Iran doesn’t have it, then no one does because it doesn’t actually exist. And yet, we’re supposed to believe that Iran doesn’t already possess nuclear warheads to install on those hypersonic delivery systems?

The fact that nuclear weapons have been held over humanity’s collective heads for generations and used to justify globalist organizations for decades is sufficient reason for them to have been among the foremost myths perpetrated by Clown World.
