Great article. Thank you. I hope you leave Chappy’s name as Chappy. It doesn’t seem right to change his name and confuse him. Imagine if everyone suddenly started calling you Collin. No, keep Happy Chappy, because that’s what he’s going to be pretty soon. I have always had dogs, 4 at once for many years, and each one ended up with a few names each, usually a shortened or rhyming version of their original name. They knew each one.

More putrid punditry?

Fucking freaks, now, somehow loving Trump over Biden. Biden and Trump are fucking criminals, and trigger men, and heads of Mafias, and alas, another News "Fuck-en-sicks" for the mental midgets?

Or is this just satire?

For every fucking Palestinian child murdered, well, a thousand Trump's or Zyklon Blinken's or Bibi Biden's.

Are you really taking any of this shit-storm serious?

"Happy" rhymes with "Chappy"; could be an aspirational name at first...

The shooter was a registered republican. As for dumbness in not mentioning, didn’t you know it was Trump who was the target? Sorry, Trump was the target. I agree about Democrats though. Insane. I am not one.

You got so close but didn't mention Matt Taibbi's excellent book "The Great Derangement".

My brother, almost instantaneously, said Rittenhouse. Does a paramilitary secret service wave at a young lad at a Trump Rally, sporting an AR 15? I remember Trump on January 6th demanding the police stop disarming the rallyers: "They are my people, they are not here to hurt me!" As if that was all that mattered. I agree there is an insanity abroad, on both sides. When this happened I did think it could be one of many a "Democrat" I have encountered recently who insists a Trump term would ensure the "end of democracy as we know it" (they might be right considering this is the democracy they know, the one our leaders chant is the best and oldest ever, when it really is barely a democracy at all) but the hatred and rage, grows among Democrats, they look Trumpian in fact, not once thinking that were this a real democracy it's institutions would disarm the threat, when, in fact the Constitution they say he is ignoring, in fact gave us him, has sustained him, from electoral college to Supreme Court composition, from Presidential impunity to Felony ignoring, all all designed into the system to raise one man above all the rest. A system designed to create dictatorship only protected by norms and good manners in the end. Rather like it's mother, the British system, that has just defrauded it's people again. The realities of these faux democracies aren't really significant, the insanity is driven by a Messianic culture incapable of blaming itself, that must blame always another, the other. A culture so drunk on it's exceptionalism that self examination is moot. And guns are everything, Hollywood insists, and we buy.

Agree with some, disagree with some. Still it is a bit dumb not to acknowledge that it was indeed Trump who was shot at, and who is alive just because he turned his head in a moment bullet already left the rifle. It is not both sides. Trump’s supporters do not want to kill Biden or democrats, they just want a fair election. Democrats want to eliminate Trump, somehow, before and independent of election, because they cannot win fair election.

there was the same problem in Slovakia... the progressives greatly escalated the situation, it is no longer possible to have a normal discussion with their students without starting to talk about politics, by getting angry and loudly reciting some news from their media... our media they were and still are very one-sided pro-Western with propaganda... Now we have Fico in the government, who was also attacked. Even the art in the National Theater is pure pro-Western propaganda and toxic propaganda ... we even have a theater performance where you openly mock Slovaks, and people applaud it. In the National Theater, 90 percent of the audience are pro-Western.

I agree with your point, a media diet of overdramatized fear will cause an average kid to do crazy shit. The media has the blame here

I'll speculate (just kidding) that the reason Biden didn't mention the other victims is he got the news when HRC called, "What the HELL do you mean he missed?" She never got around to telling Biden there were three others shot.

I've tried to say much the same to friends infected with TDS, "Demonizing him makes public discourse more and more irrational, reactive and emotional." Then we have the New York Times Editorial Board post today: "The Attack on Donald Trump Is Antithetical to America." I don't know how they can getting any lamer, but they keep trying.
