Civil War?

Insurrectionists stormed this very Capitol and placed a dagger at the throat of American democracy. Many of you were here on that darkest of days. We all saw with our own eyes these insurrectionists were not patriots. They had come to stop the peaceful transfer of power and to overturn the will of the people. January 6th and the lies about the 2020 election, and the plots to steal the election, posed the gravest threat to our democracy since the Civil War. But they failed. America stood strong and democracy prevailed.

“Honest Abe” Biden saved us. Thank God! From people like this 70 year old.

And, of course, this….

The Buffalo Guy is a vet’. Military awards: the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon and the Navy and Marine Corps Overseas Service Ribbon.

“Thank you for your service”. He was sentenced to 41 months in prison followed by 36 months supervised release. And his head dress was confiscated. After all, the election was almost overturned by this demonstration.

Buffalo Guy served the same amount of time in Prison as William Calley convicted of mass murder at Mai Lai.

But the Republic was in danger. Biden, by the way, got 5 student draft deferments.

Ah…like you, Little Girl, democracy is a fragile flower and so is Joe.

So many threats.

But the worst threat to our ever-so-delicate democracy is He-Who-Cannot-Be-Named—-the Predecessor.

My predecessor and some of you here seek to bury the truth of January 6th.I will not do that. This is a moment to speak the truth and bury the lies.

Let the President answer the interrogatories I proposed…Let him answer fully, fairly, and candidly. Let him answer with facts and not with arguments.  Let him remember, he sits where Washington sat; and so remembering, let him answer as Washington would answer…so let him attempt no evasion, no equivocation.
