This new Battle of Kursk sounds more like the Battle of the Bulge than the WWII version of Kursk. The Germans threw the last of their armored reserves at Americans in Belgium in a desperate move to seize Antwerp and force the Western Allies to the negotiating table.

They had some success for a couple of weeks, and then Allied air power and armor finished them. This latest Ukrainian offensive strongly reminds me of that one.

Very lucid and persuasive analysis. The de-Nazification of Ukraine was Putin's stated goal, ab initio. Drawing them (and Nato mercenaries) into Kursk will hopefully eliminate the danger for the future. Brilliant if it works! It is difficult to deny the utter stupidity of both Zelensky and his Washington goon handlers.

Don't forget the London goon handlers.

No, indeed. Somewhere I suspect they control the Washington ones, judging by the incisive opinions of Winken, Blinken and Nod, not to mention Sullivan et al.

It's ironic how the USA has been so tight with it's mother the British Empire ever since the War of 1812. Yeah, we have our noses up their ass and treat their damned royalty like ours.

I get your drift. Hell, the big tell was when we didn't stay neutral during WW1!

No biggie, just a Jew throwing away goyim lives, they're cheap, and too stupid to see that Ukraine was just a NATO platform weaponized against Russia. And where do you think the weaponization came from, hint, Jews.

Yeah goyim friers🍭.

Surely, many of the Ukrainian soldiers said at the launch of this operation, "We can't hold our fortified defensive lines, but we're going to march in to Russia and take a nuclear power plant? We are ruled by morons." It is long overdue for the Ukraine army to have its Appomattox Courthouse moment.

Zelensky has learned his lessons well from Hitler's losing strategy. Noteworthy that Zelensky blamed Russia for the Zaporozhya Nuclear Plant Fire reminiscent of fat boy Hermann Goering blaming the Reichstag fire on the Communists to rule by decree, the Emergency Powers Act.

Many many congratulations for this text, this great analisys, important that everyone must read. I will share how much I could. There was an "intelligent expertise in geo politic that said an assasine phrase, absolutly wrong, "...the russian militars were take asseliping..." Serious? You only see the forest not the tree. But here are a great article and as Alexander Dugin wrotte yesterday "winners are not judged. Everyone else it".

Great Russia

Great Putin

Saw your comment and links at SONAR. Lively article. I'm amazed at the number of armchairs who think they can do a better job when they ought to just shut-up and observe.

Judge Napolitano being suspended by YouTube was anticipated. Kim Dotcom lost his battle to be extradited to the Empire on the usual bogus charges, while Dmitri Simes home was raided by FBI.

Judging by the # of likes and restacks, your site is doing well. And with your strong material it should!

You're absolutely right about the West commiting suicide. America is leading the way.

It wasn’t a trap set by the Russians.

They saw the preparations on the Ukrainian side but didn’t think the incursion would be as big as it was expecting something like the DRG raids of Belgorod.

Your point still stands though - Zelenskyy is aiding in solidifying Russian society towards ending the Ukrainian threat decisively.

Good comment. Hmmmmm....makes me think. Reminds me of something taught in Shorinji Kenpo and Goshin Judo. Makes for another article, though.

Multiple UA brigades were rushed from Donbas to the region of Ukraine opposite Kursk. Russian ISR isn't so terrible that they'd miss 2-4 brigades forming 20km from their border.

Expand full comment

First, Russian ISR is not terrible but there are many forested areas on both sides of the border.

Second, Ukraine used some of their most elite forces with a lot of mechanization.

Third, it’s a 500km border with Ukraine.

Forth, the brigades are not full brigades. The initial force was 1000-2000 men.

All those reasons in addition to some incompetence/complacency led to the initial surprise.

But it will backfire especially because of the barbaric killings of civilians and whatever “gains” will be short lived with Putin using this move against them.

Those brigades had to reach those forested areas before forming up. ISR would have picked their movement from Donbas to the forested areas.

Mechanisation would increase speed at the cost of stealth. A mechanised brigade is easier to spot.

If you add support troops, the number of UA troops in the Kursk theatre is easily north of 5,000-8,000.

I’m not saying the Russians were blind. The Ukrainians were moved under the justification to defend against that the Russians had demined the area on Russia’s side and have been preparing for an incursion into sumy to open up another front (like Kharkiv). Russia knew that the Ukrainians might attack but were not expecting it to that level.

The initial incursion force was smaller than the full number amassed that you mentioned but still significantly larger than the raids into Belgorod.

And 20km from the border can be crossed in a couple of hours since they used paved roads.
