It's worrying that the African Union just suspended Niger, a step closer to war. Hypocritical considering its many corrupt members. I assume that whatever the USA is offering the AU is more than what Niger can offer.
The chance of the US or France unilaterally starting hostilities is low. That's because if a war starts there it will be another NATO conflict like Ukraine. It may even be that they transfer the Ukraine War there after Z-y gets eliminated. I thought Serbia or Syria might be next; but Sahel Africa could very well get the nod.
