I realise the msm are spinning narratives in Syria, but Kevork Almassian and Pepe Escobsr have been pretty downbeat too. Let's hope things get better over the Christmas, new year. ✨️
They sure have. I think Russia will lose the bases by the way: they have a legalistic approach and were there with the agreement of Assad govt. The new govt will not give them those rights.
"I would add that it doesn’t really matter whether the Americans used A-10s or not to kill Iraqi fighters..."
I would add that it's high time ALL Asians (and actually Europeans and Africans and Oceanians and Latin Americans) told the US people to go back home. (Provide your own nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs to taste).
The real Americans are, of course, the Native Americans - the handful who survive. I prefer to call the other people who live in North America "European colonists". But whatever they are, they made their bed and now they should lie on it; they do not belong anywhere in the Old World, and they are not welcome there. Except as tourists or traders, of course. See George Washington's Farewell Address, and the published views of every single one of the other US "founding fathers".
With Damascus fallen, and Syria falling apart, biding time would be the best strategy. One analyst suggested Assad didn't have money to pay his military, especially the always corrupt Command.
Good analysis and intriguing as always. Just wanted to add a couple observations: first, the minimum goal of the empire is to sow chaos and instability in Syria, to the next level being the partition and control of key parts of Syria such as the borders with Israel, Lebanon, Iraq, including preventing stable ground land access from Iran to Syria and Lebanon, and ultimately controlling the routes in which any gas pipelines could be constructed outside of its control, specifically via Iran to the Mediterranean coast. Likewise, cutting Russian access to the Syrian ports, a viable naval link for Russia to Africa. Altogether, a stable Syria is not necessary or even desirable and a “Libyan” model would suffice. Whereas, the BRICS model represented by Russia and Iran, or China is based on promoting fundamental stability and integration in Syria. It is much easier to destroy than rebuild, so the empire has the short term advantage in that respect.
Secondly, related to the military logistics, it’s probably a mistake to underestimate the Takfiri terrorist forces and the ramifications of their current blitzkrieg. The Syrian army was totally outmaneuvered as the mercenaries appear to have been extensively and for months prepared, trained, and equipped specifically to carry out the recent operations specifically, including drone and electronic warfare whereas the Syrian army remained stagnant or even deteriorated in large part due to the financial difficulties created by the empire’s persistent and brutal economic terrorism. Even if the progress of terrorist mercenaries could be halted at this point, taking back the lost territories would take significant resources and time.
Finally, Iran and Russia underestimated the likelihood or extent of the potential for treachery by the despicable, opportunistic, vile Turkish vermin, aka, wanna-be Sultan Erdogan. So, they withdrew most of their forces from Syria after 2020, and now they are faced with the enormous challenge of responding to a deep crisis without the required military preparations.
You're right. Does smell like Iraq 2003. Military collapse that fast is unusual. Technically the SAA had all the advantages. Appears to have collapsed from within.
I have found it surprising who so many independent media have fallen so deeply for the msm propaganda and are writing off Syria. "they'll never recover from this." The same messaging applied to Kursk. These flashy lightning campaigns make great television but they inevitably fall apart on logistics - and the west never gets the logistics right. They've played their hand, showed their cards and now Syria, Russia, Iraq and Iran bring out the big hammers abs start smashing. Smash the columns of supplies, smash the reinforcements, smash the command posts, smash the signals. Smash, chop, isolate abs exterminate. No leaving exit routes this time. Smash.
Firstly. Cats. We have Zappa cat rescued from young boys trying to put fireworks on his tail.
13yrs later Zappa is still here. We have had multiple cats after Zappa and he has never been aggressive to other new family of cats and 2 dogs. Zappa shows the world we can live in harmony. Why. Because we loved him despite clawing his way through my husbands record collection. Worth a fortune.
MY understanding of animals has heightened my anger towards human beings.
WE all love our animals: OUR animals are not 'choked' by religion or politics.
Are they a species that understand LOVE? Yes.
YOU people go and buy dogs from breeders........NO!
You go to your nearest SPA (french) SPCA and you rescue an animal..............put the 'breeders' out of business.
STOP breeding animals for your ego!
You can walk down the street with your 'inbred' Labradordoodles. Who turn out to be dim as shit. Cross bred because of money.
YOU people who buy 'so-called' INBRED dogs and cats should be shot!
I am so sick of seeing this ridiculous egocentric behaviour.
Hoping for Syria! Is that one of your commentator's take? Fucked. Russia and China and Iran. Palestine? Going going gone.
The Century of the Jew. And it's toast ... And the Grayzones will continue to catalog the crimes, but ain't nothing going to happen. Russian leaders under Putin are not brutal and tough enough to handle 14 Eyes and Talmudists and wailing Wall White House.
The SMO (police operation) enabled the West to continue to escalate and open multiple fronts - Georgia, Syria. And will continue to pursue goal of Balkanization of Russia. Russia needs to hit the U.S. assets now and HARD!
Thank you for this article. I saw something similar from Korobochka on x. In prior wars, Syria fought at the border & just as it was about to annihilate the enemy, the terrorists would retreat to their havens in Turkey & wherever. This time they've retreated to lure the terrorists into the interior to cut off their escape, while Russia bombs the hell our of their logistics. The retreats have been organized & efficient, & they've brought most of working weapons with them
The west is, as always, winning the PR war. The real war, however, has barely begun.
I realise the msm are spinning narratives in Syria, but Kevork Almassian and Pepe Escobsr have been pretty downbeat too. Let's hope things get better over the Christmas, new year. ✨️
I was upbeat and I was wrong.
Your posts are a lifeline Julian.
Things have changed overnight. Things get worse before they get better?
They sure have. I think Russia will lose the bases by the way: they have a legalistic approach and were there with the agreement of Assad govt. The new govt will not give them those rights.
It seems to be so.
But maybe Erdogan wants the bases to remain in Russian control.
Maybe he fears to anger Putin, which would be wise, he might even has promised Putin that he can keep his bases...
Just saying.

The new Govt. are thugs/paid for by the USA
I should take a new look at who took the Twin Towers out in the US.
They supported these thugs.
This will all come back to haunt the USA.
Nicely typed.

The Russians will bide their time as they did in the Battle of Stalingrad and then crush the enemy.
With Damascus fallen, and Syria falling apart, biding time would be the best strategy. One analyst suggested Assad didn't have money to pay his military, especially the always corrupt Command.
Why did Assad not have money to pay?
Sanctions from the US Govt!

Excellent analysis. Can I post this?
Certainly. I’d delighted that you find it useful. Thank you
Joulani was signed up for a remedial Corporate Diversity Training Program by HR. He’s changed his ways and is cool with infidels now.
Can I get one of those training programs. I want to look cool too!
They sent him John Kirby's personal stylist to get him slicked up for primetime.
I’m coming after the fact but it’s over.
I had hope but that hope was misplaced.
I have never seen or heard of an army collapsing that fast. There is something else going on. It’s not just the formidable strengths of the terrorist.
This smells like Iraq 2003.
You're right. Does smell like Iraq 2003. Military collapse that fast is unusual. Technically the SAA had all the advantages. Appears to have collapsed from within.
the Syrian officers were paid off.
They had extremely low wages so very logic to taka these bribes.

That's what I thought. However, Assad is not Syria. So, it is too early to write it off. And the Russians are still there.

It is NO different from politics.
Rescue a dog. Rescue a cat. Rescue a human.
Julian,
Poderíamos dizer que, com todos esses conflitos paralelos, estamos vivendo em um contexto de guerra "mundial"?
Muito me apreciaria seus pensamentos sobre isso.
Falo do Brasil
Yes, this is a world war. So, Ukraine is just one battleground. Syria is another. Lebanon still another. Palestine, still another.
Total Fuckery Russia. Think years and years dealing with UkroNaziLandia.....

Mark Sledoba does good work on this Russian failure.
I am afraid you are correct
I think you are very wrong.
The SMO (police operation) enabled the West to continue to escalate and open multiple fronts - Georgia, Syria. And will continue to pursue goal of Balkanization of Russia. Russia needs to hit the U.S. assets now and HARD!
I was not in agreement with you months ago but yes.........I think Russia has to finish the USA
I don't remember that, but thanks Jenny
Great report! Thank you😊
Pity I wasn't right.
It happens. Pretty sure no one was expecting this. I guess we underestimated the enemies.
Congrats on getting Chappy home.

The west is, as always, winning the PR war. The real war, however, has barely begun.
The whole context of the war has changed. Maybe we should say the real war is just beginning.
Yup. Woke up to the bad/sad news a short time ago.
Aleks may not like "Media," in his product's name.
