Erdogan reveals himself to be an utterly revolting human and insults Putin by equating himself .

The world sees the difference plainly I’d say.

No BRICS for Erdogan !

Putin and Xi, unlike Donald Trump, have characteristics of great visionary leaders: humility, teamwork, thoughtfulness, flexibility, principled and organizational skills.

Trump is the complete opposite.

Arrogant, rash, attention seeker, loud mouth militarist bully like Dick Cheney, no organizational skills, requires being surrounded by lapdogs and sycophants, loathes criticism.

I agree with Julian's perception of Erdogan. He is more similar to Israel's Netanyahu, who is a pathological liar...

However, I am taking a lot of the reporting on the Syrian situation with a grain of salt.

There are simply too many oddities that are cropping up that literally make no sense.

For example, the HTS rapid advance all the way to Damascus, with little to no opposition.

Or another example, the sudden collapse of the Syrian Army, which over the years had become the most battle-hardened army in the region. Everyone knew of the combat abilities of the Syrian Army after years of fighting hard-core terrorist invaders.

Now we are supposed to believe that the army folded like a wet noodle?

I don't buy any of it...

What I think is really going on is that there is really only one way to get rid of the Israeli state in its current form, which the populations of all the countries in the region would be quick to celebrate. In addition, President Putin no longer has any use for Israel with its support for Ukraine and the more recent attacks on a Russian base. How soon so many forget...

I have been strong admirer of President Putin for many years. He is everything Julian said of him in this piece and more.

President Putin is the consummate 21st century statesman while also being the world's leading geo-strategist. As a result, it is my theory that everything we are now seeing in Syria was planned months ago between Erdogan, which is the sponsor of HTS, Assad, who earlier had large support among most Syrians, Russia, and Iran, with Russia being the leader in this plan.

And the plan is to create a regional block that will literally put Israel on notice that its days of impunity re over.

And suddenly we are hearing of a legitimate cease-fire deal between Israel and Hamas that is expected to begin in January.

Why now?

Because Israel is starting to get the message that its "Greater Israel" plan has always been a pipe dream and will continue to be so in the future.

Knowing the potential threat that HTS now presents to them they are going hell for leather in attempting to destroy ll of the Syrian military infrastructure in the south.

What happened? Israel has suddenly lost interest in killing all those innocent civilians.

It has been reported recently that Hamas is quite happy with the turn of events in Syria.

Seriously!?!?

They just lost the man who was supporting the pipeline of arms to Hezbollah...

Or did they?

I posted this last night on another stack, seems relevant.

I'm thinking this was planned to stop another forever war that could be escalated & escalated until they get their war in Iran. Drop everything and evaporate so the Cabal, Neocons (whatever the fuck you call these people, if they are people at this point.) can over extend. These guys are popping Champaign corks right now thinking they have a huge unforeseen victory. I reckon there will be a bitter after taste to that bottle. Now that they have it, what now? They thought they could have another forever war and blame Iran for funding this so called dictatorship. But it never happened, so overtly attack Iran now?

I don't think these guys know what they have accomplished. (meaning Neocon/ Cabal types) Now they have another headache as far as I can see, ISIS/AL-QAEDA off shoot running around killing Christians and anyone who doesn't conform to the ideology. They let the Israelis of the leash, what do you think these nut jobs will do?? (and yes the Zionists are nut jobs too) Not to mention These guys are now on the Israelis doorstep not to mention Turkeys doorstep which I don't think will work to well (Erdogan & turkey has pissed off to many Governments lets say)for either. As far as i can see these guys will be uncontrollable in the long term like any other ideology based regime.

I can't see anything good for the Syrian people in the near to long term future, but on the Grand Master Chess level I do see how this could have stopped an all out regional war (which WOULD turn into WW3) from happening. "They" bought some time in my opinion to wait for the west to fall apart.

Just my thoughts, I might be wrong (probably) but common sense dictates that an ENTIRE country doesn't just fall over night ( 10 days-ish) like that unless there is something behind the scenes is happening.

Anyway

Cheers big ears :)

Regards

Obz

Syria is now filled with militias backed by Turkey, US, Israel, local tribes. All jockeying for power & drawing lines in sand.

It's not as simple or clean cut as the msm would have us believe.

I agree totally with both of you guys. It seems as if these guys walked into a trap. The only thing you walk into without any resistance AT ALL is a trap. That's what it looks like to me.

I am beginning to feel like a Parrot........yes Master.

I am looking from the point of view of Europe. Which believe me I have NO faith in.

What if Erdogan had been given EU status? I don't know would this have changed anything? I think so.

This EU Status has been going on forever. Turkey wanted to join........years ago.

Erdogan (from talking heads on u-tube who know more than I do) is very sick/possibly dying but from what I gather the man who will come after him is worse.

Turkey has the biggest army in (Europe)!

Unfortunately Turkey straddles East/West ....SO Russia has to be careful same as the EU.

ONE thing I do know which maybe very naive is that: Europe/Turkey/Russia have an ancient History together. We have had wars before the US existed.

One of the many things the US has NEVER learned.....is culture of these older nations.

These stupid American so-called Diplomats do NOT understand.

Putin will wipe out Washington DC.

US is a nonentity in the world.

Thank you Julian...

I agree with what you wrote here.

But i am an Anarchist and hate Authority.

Read this about how you are selected to rise in the Authority ladder under Neo-liberalism...

->https://www.occupyschagen.nl/Div/Neoliberalism-Psychopathy.jpg

So, how can, in the West, a person who is perfect in the way you correctly wrote, EVER rise to a high position ?

Another subject...

After almost drowning under the flood of reactions on the events in Syria, i somehow begin to get a vision of what may become a highly probable course of events.

It is still between 40 and 47.5% probability, so relatively low, in words: A possibility.

Players:

1. Military top in Syria, under Assad,

2. Erdogan + MIT + SNA,

3. Iran, (Hezbollah ?)

4. HTS and all fugitives that want to return to Syria. Not a secular Syria, but a more religious mix of Sunni & Shia.

5. Putin, but behind the scenes, he cannot let Assad fall too openly.

6. Arab states (Saudi and more)

7. Iraq resistance.

How ?

A plot probably a double plot, trying to confuse US and Israel.

Assad was the problem. He should have made a deal with Erdogan and now Syria was sinking because of the sanctions. Syria should become whole again (including the Kurdish part where the US is stealing Oil.

“Thus, Syria has become Turkey’s Vietnam.

And Turkey will fail in Syria as the US did in SE Asia. There will be no pipeline from the Oil States through Syria to Turkey. No “Greater Turkey”.

Russia will keep its bases in the Latakia and Tartus, in the Alawite enclave and finish off Ukraine.”

Sorry but there is just so much wrong with this article. On WHAT exactly do you based those assumptions?! Hopium? Wishful thinking?

How can this become “Turkey’s Vietnam” when Turkey controls the “rebels?” The US was FIGHTING the “rebels” in Vietnam, not controlling them as Turkey does.

What makes you think that there will be no pipeline? What makes you think that Turkey won’t annex/incorporate some parts of Syria into Turkey?

What makes you think that HTS will honor Assad’s (!) deal regarding the Russian bases?

I’m interested to see your reasoning behind your statements, not just loose hopium/copium/wishful thinking statements.

I think I explained all that in this article and the previous one. Turkey controls SOME of the rebels -- the ones it pays. But you have all sorts of different groups in Syria -- vying for power and armed and dangerous. The core elements of HTS were religious fanatics -- and they are already slaughtering people. I don't mean to suggest that Vietnam is like Syria -- different countries and different demographics. But the US got locked into a war it could not win -- and it sucked the blood out of the US --economically and culturally. Yet, the US could not leave for many years. Vietnam was originally one country but partitioned by the Geneva Accords --temporarily pending elections, which never happened. Instead, the US set up a prox government in Saigon. Vietnam was also divided religiously. There are similarities between Syria and Vietnam. But that was NOT the point! Vietnam was a quagmire. Syria is also a quagmire. As for the pipeline, that cannot be built without securing eastern Syria, where you have the Kurds.

When did Diplomacy stop in the USA?

Who in the late 30yrs has been to Russia.

You have NO Diplomats.

When was Biden last in Russia.

Ill-educated Americans cannot talk because they know NO History.

Diplomacy stopped when the western oil companies decided to cut back on exploration for oil in the '90s.

They stumbled upon the great idea to help themselves to other people's oil - seeing as the Middle East didn't deserve their oil, and Russia certainly didn't deserve it.

What's the point of talking about it if you're just going to take it anyway? Nobody's fault that the pesky inhabitants of these countries live on top of the oil, just kill them.

Diplomacy is a waste of precious oil pumping time, and besides, having a couple of wars cooking near the oil makes the price jump even higher. It's good for business all round. If the Saudis, Iranians and Russians didn't benefit from the higher price, it would be even better.

Remember the oil cap crap 🤣🤣

Suggest you take a look at the graphic at link below. Then tell yourself again that "Turkey controls the rebels."

There will be no pipeline any time soon because Syria is now a mash of a zillion assorted terrorist groups, rebel groups & tribal militias with differing "allegiances."

He can’t forecast exactly what will happen, except I’d like to bet that gas pipeline will never happen, the Turks will still be fighting the Kurds, Israel was in that hilltop overlooking Damascus back in 73’, etc, etc. but you can absolutely guarantee America will be fighting Israel’s enemies for years to come.
