If the main article is very funny, the addendum reminds us of the sad reality: the United States is run by crazy, pathological liars. That the Secretary of Defense and the Chief of Staff are such people is both frightening and sickening.

I originally started with the Addendum. But I realized that the "Dads" representation was so counter-factual as to be farce. Just simply ridiculous. These people have no integrity whatsoever.

Excellent, hilarious, and sickening. The Ukrainian battlefield is a meatgrinder for slaughtering of untrained conscripts, mostly Ukrainian but also Russian. The US ruling elite couldn't give a shit about what happens in Ukraine, it's a springboard for a proxy war against Russia and also against America's European "allies" (puppets). Ukraine is already being poisoned with depleted uranium from Western-supplied DU shells, and Britain says "It's not our responsibility, we won't help with cleanup." Rishi Sunak is a war criminal like Biden/Obama. For a less optimistic perspective on how the war is going, see "Russia's SMO: A timeline of premonitions" (https://edwardslavsquat.substack.com/p/russias-smo-a-timeline-of-premonitions?utm_source=substack&utm_medium=email).

Thank you for this entertaining and thought-tickling contribution, Mr. MacFarlane.

That sitcom metaphor made me chuckle and nod in agreement at the same time. As someone living in the western bubble - or more like oxygen-tent, that has been set-up to artificially prolong the frail existence of a failing system - with every passing day the feeling grows, that we all are just superfluent extras in the current replay of the truman show.

The degree of delusion and outright denial of basic, objective reality has become so prevalent, that it has shattered any hopes of a more civilzed humanity by means of proper education and universal literacy, which the founding fathers, who were children of the Age of Enlightment might have had in mind. We have become our own worst selves again, screaming in unison at the top of our lungs for the blood of the "others". And while we keep unconsiously lining the pockets of the plantage owners through our unthinking contribution to the machine, they keep chuckling all the way to the bank.

I don't think that oxygen tent has oxygen but something rather hallucinogenic. :)

There is nothing "real" about the US government right now.

Subtle humour is often missed in Comment Sections.

Clearly the USA government as a whole are lunatics like all Western Governments including Canada.

It is always remarkable how one can substitute whatever nonsense we put out with the opposite country and it fits us perfectly. When it comes to press freedom and freedom of speech, no where is this more glaring than with Julian Assange.
